I got the vegetariana (veggie panini) which was very good. I was glad to branch out as normally I get a caprese sandwich as my go to with Coral tree. Parking can be hard unless you're willing to go with vallet. But if you're patient you may find on e in the neighborhood or park in the mini shopping mall lot though will be a few dollars. A really quick and tasty breakfast or lunch option in Brentwood. It's not a full service restaurant instead you order at the counter, they give you a number, and then they drop the food off to you. Think more of a café. Parking is also tricky in this area so it's either valet parking for $6 or metered street parking which can be hard to find. Inside is very large and can host many different size groups. They also have an outdoor eating area. For breakfast, I chose Eggs Benedict and added avocado and really enjoyed it. This is a cute place just at the entrance of the main Brentwood area. Parking is kind of difficult unless you are willing to pay for their valet, but I was able to find a spot on San Vicente. The smoked turkey sandwich with cranberry cream cheese was excellent. I liked the balance of the thick slices of turkey and the veggies. The bread is a bit tough, but not bad. We were able to find a fully shaded spot on the patio outdoors, which was lovely on a sunny day. I loved that this location is on the inkind app, which made it an affordable lunch spot. We come to the coral tree cafe so often. My go-tos are the steak sandwich and the chicken sandwich but today I got the tomatoe bisque and shared the Mac n cheese. The Mac was sooo great loved great it was garlicky I loved! The ambiance is very coffee shop vibes, it's what the old show Entourage tried to emulate with Urth. I would assume it's among first principles in a restaurant that you don't blame your customer for your own faults. However, today, Cole Tree Café did just that to me. On the whole, Coral Tree Café has been a place I've gone to because of its outdoor seating on a sunny day. It's enjoyable to sit out there and enjoy the company of others even if the food is just mediocre to good. In fact, I'd say I've had good memories of it. However, takeout, at least in my experience today, is not worth the time, to say the very least. I got in line and ordered my food and was told that I would be called by name when it was ready. After standing there for 20 minutes for a salad, I went up and kindly asked the cashier if she had an update on it. She then went back to the people in the kitchen and came to me with my food saying that they had called my name twice, with the implication that I had done something wrong. However, I had been standing there the whole time and did not hear them call it. In fact, I had already gone back to the kitchen twice to look and see if my food was there and it wasn't. The implication seemed to be that somehow the server should be put out because they had to call my name twice when I never heard it, even though I was standing less than 10 feet away. Maybe they should've spoken a little bit louder, as I am not hard of hearing. The point is you don't blame your customers for the mistakes that are inherently a result of the chaotic process that you've created. So I will not be coming back. Brentwood has a lot of great options and this is not one of them. read more

My husband and I stopped in today for his birthday brunch. I got the shakshuka and he ordered the veggie Benedict. This was our first time here and I thought the ordering at the bar and self seating was pretty quick and easy. But... it took about 25 min for our order to come out, which was surprising. My colleague invited me to eat here today. It was our regular meeting spot for years, so, I was quite amenable to the idea. Where do I start? The parking in this neighborhood is in a word HORRENDOUS. After driving around and around for 20 minutes, I had to give in and go to the valet parking. PS I never valet park. But, the parking people were so sweet to me upon my car pulling into the lot, I was totally feeling happy about it. Before you go any further reading, please know that this was the highlight of my lunch . Walked into pure chaos and cacophonous sounds that were ear splitting. The line for ordering was ridiculous and the people standing around were way too many ... now, because there are not enough tables. I sat at one whilst my friend went on line. 15 minutes later he came back to our table and sent me over to wait on line. What really struck me as odd was that there was one person taking orders. He was a lovely fellow, but clearly he needed help ( this restaurant's capacity is unusually large)... another 10 minutes go by and between the loud sounds and the chaos, I had lost my appetite and ordered an iced tea. So now 30 minutes have passed and finally my friend and I can catch up. He didn't even finish his salad because he didn't like it. It has always been his favorite. He said they prepared the chicken differently. OK, so when one of the waitstaff came by and asked him if they wanted him to box his leftovers? he promptly said..."no thanks". Again, a first for us because plenty of times in the past, because the food was so plentiful and delicious, we always took home leftovers of whatever we had eaten. We vowed to never return which really is a bummer so I beg you Coral Tree Café please get your house in order! And make the process easier and efficient!!! I was excited to see their cocktail menu. We got the Moscow mule and Margarita. Both good and strong. You definitely get a great portion for your buck and I was so happy to have more for leftovers. I really like Coral Tree Cafe for its casual setting, large menu, great service, and inviting atmosphere. I came to CTC earlier this week for lunch with a colleague. The restaurant was spacious and had a lot of seating. It was reminiscent of a house actually. It had a unique and eclectic aesthetic. The menu had a good variety of breakfast & lunch options. I ordered a breakfast burrito with a peach tea with lemonade, a la "Arnold Palmer". The customer service was great from the cashier, she was very sweet and complimentary. The wait time for our food was very short, which we appreciated. The food was good, the burrito was massive and filling. The only thing I can complain about was that it was a bit warm inside, because the doors were open. As a result, there were flies coming in. Also, the price was a little steep, but it's in Brentwood, so that is to be expected. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I'll be back. read more

I'm happy to have found this cafe, February 2025, after moving from San Diego to Los Angeles. The employees really care about our needs. This is a big place. Customers both respect your privacy, and sometimes engage in conversations with you. It very much reminds me of being in Europe. You can end up sitting with strangers, or really close to a stranger, and still have a great time. As a vegan, I'm glad that there are some choices here, and that the servings are big.
