Easily the best breakfast spot in west la that won't charge you an arm and a leg. Everything is very simple but good. This is easily my favorite coffee shop in West LA that I visit most weekdays on my way to the office!! You won't find flashy, Instagram-style drinks here, but what you will get is a consistently excellent cup every time. They clearly care about the details from start to finish. Milk is perfectly textured, drinks are served at the right temperature (never overheated), and everything is done at a reasonable price. Miguel, Luis, and the rest of the team are always welcoming and genuinely helpful, and the space is consistently clean and well-maintained. Really enjoyed this breakfast. It was quick and very flavorful. The potatoes were extra seasoned, which I really liked. They were not your normal side breakfast potato. I came upon LA Prime Cafe as a happy accident. I was on my way to work, and I got a flat tire. I pulled into the parking lot which sits in front of this cafe. I called roadside assistance, but the wait was 1.5 hours. So I decided to step into this cafe while I wait. After checking out their menu, I decided to get a spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was tasty and indeed spicy, which is great as most places make their "spicy" dishes mild because "most people don't like very spicy food." The side salad complemented the sandwich well. The cafe is a bit small, but finding seating was not an issue. The place was clean throughout, and the working kept this place running smoothly. I was looking for a place to have a work meeting where there was seating so we could get some work done. This place was quiet enough and the food was a nice treat. FOOD I got the kale smoothie which was delicious and the French toast meal that came with eggs, and bacon or sausage. I didn't want the eggs so they let me sub them out for avocado without an upcharge which was awesome. I added fresh fruit to my French toast for just $3. It was a good lunch for about $22 including the taxes and tip. SERVICE The service was fast and the guys were nice. We placed our orders and the smoothie and food came out fast. AMBIANCE It was a chill but intimate cafe that had long tables perfect for us to setup our laptops and meeting materials and still have space for our food and drinks comfortably. I think there was background music but it was subtle and didn't interrupt the meeting. I also liked that they had spa water accessible to the public so you could get it without having to ask for it. This was a good place for a meeting over lunch, I'd do it again. PARKING This place has a couple of parking spots but shared the lot with Zankou Chicken so they do fill up pretty fast. They know how to make a legit breakfast burrito and they do it right. Very nicely made with a great ratio of eggs / guacamole/ tater tots/ salsa / etc. I personally opt to not do the black beans as I disagree with beans in a bfast burrito. Very importantly they grill press it lightly after it's wrapped - any place that doesn't do this to a burrito gets crossed off my list. On the side they give you Chipotle mayo, which is something I normally don't like, but I actually really enjoy theirs! And it's very reasonably priced. Happy I stumbled upon this place. read more

It is so criminal that I have not written a review for this place yet, and was absolutely mortified when I realized this while I made my weekly brunch trip last weekend! This is my favorite breakfast burrito on the west side and some of the best coffee in the neighborhood. I come here all the time and Ruby even knows my order now! The staff is fantastic and the food is fresh and reasonably priced. I stick to a breakfast burrito with chicken sausage and an iced dulce latte, but my friends and family can vouch for the tuna sandwich, most of the salads, and the waffles! The parking lot is a bit tricky on busy weekends because it shares a lot with Zankou who is always doing valet, I always tell the guy I'm coming to Prime and he leaves me alone. There is ample seating inside as well, I've brought my dog nephew in before and it hasn't been a problem. Overall this is a neighborhood staple! read more

This is located inside a small location with another restaurant Zankou Chicken (see my review:) I was expecting a stand alone regular restaurant, but this is set in the shopping complex and very small, but lots of seating and great menu which is why I still liked it. Valet parking again, but it's free so don't stress and you see your car the lot is so tiny. Thats why they do it to allow double stacking. Valet guy is very nice and professional. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a latte, both of which were delicious and arrived quickly. I would say if you want a quiet place with cool music, nice efficient staff, and good value, come here. Lots of menu choices for drinks and food too. LA Prime Caffe is tucked inside an unassuming plaza. While it's not the prettiest, most aesthetic "LA" brunch spot, it is definitely cozy and feels more like a mom and pop shop. My friend and I shared a breakfast burrito (add chicken sausage) and French toast. The burrito was amazing! Warm, full of fresh cilantro, rice, beans, and juicy chunks of chicken sausage, we both agreed that this was the best breakfast burrito we'd had in LA. Delicious with the chipotle mayo. Came here during an afternoon in between meetings at work to grab some coffee with my team. Made the trek across Santa Monica Blvd to enter what seems like a nondescript coffee shop. The main reason for that was that it was almost time of closing. I got myself a vanilla cold brew and it was quite impressive. They do indeed take their time brewing the coffee and other drinks, so I'm quite impressed with that. They also do have some lemon water near the entrance you can quench your thirst with before grabbing your food and/or drinks. It's kind of by itself, so it's easy to skip as the location is a bit nondescript. I think I'll come back for breakfast the next time I'm in Los Angeles. read more

I recently ordered the waffle combo and the chicken pesto sandwich (which comes with a side salad), and overall I had a good experience with some highlights worth mentioning. The waffles were absolutely delicious -- soft, fluffy, and perfectly complemented by the chicken sausage and light, fluffy eggs. Everything in the waffle combo worked really well together, and I have nothing but great things to say about that dish. The chicken pesto sandwich, however, was a bit disappointing. While I can definitely see the potential in the flavor combination, the sandwich was quite salty -- even more noticeable since I had added an extra side of chicken. The chicken itself was unfortunately tough and a bit dry. I did order through Uber Eats, but I don't believe that was the cause of the saltiness or texture. On a positive note, the complimentary salad that came with the sandwich was wonderful. The dressing was perfectly balanced and really elevated the side -- it was honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, there are some strong items on the menu, especially the waffle combo, and I truly see the potential in the sandwich with a few adjustments. I hope this feedback is helpful! read more
