Stopped in for the first time with a group of friends for a weekday lunch, and we had a great experience overall. There was no wait when we arrived, and the service was impressively fast and attentive. We were a party of six and seated in a booth--it was a bit tight once all the delicious small side dishes, meats, and appetizers were laid out, but it was manageable. We tried a variety of meats and sides, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. If you like seafood try the seafood pancake, it was so tasty and fresh, my favorite out of everything! This place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a quick and satisfying lunch with a group. Just keep in mind that booth seating might feel a little cramped for larger parties.

Went here a few months ago for the first time, but felt that I needed to leave a review of my experience! It was just me and my girlfriend for lunch, and we tried various items from the AYCE lunch menu. We were blown away. Everything was very, very good! The price was very fair compared to the competition, and the quality of the meats, the side dishes (soups, steamed egg, corn cheese, etc.), the banchan--everything was delicious! The service was great--very kind and attentive--and the place was very clean. We were skeptical at first because we were one of only two parties dining at the time, but I hope more people can come and try this place out. That's why I'm writing this review. I plan on coming back and hope it will be just as good as our first time!

In anticipation of a new Korean bbq place this one doesn't disappoint. The meats are pretty good quality, we did the lower tier of the two choices I think the higher tier had some stuff that I'd love to try, but the steep jump and budget I had wasn't in the cards that day. Service at first was a not great from the waiter himself, I got there a little late and my friends were not too confident about our waiter and told me about it. However, our server went from the guy to the younger lady and the older lady and it changed significantly, I was happy to be taken care of and they checked on us so often, which was good because lots of places do not often do so. These ladies helped the service aspect jump back up to great expectations. Ambiance I feel would be the only thing that knocked a star down. I feel the lights are too bright and not moody enough, it felt a little like a warehouse. Don't get me wrong though the place is fun and well decorated the lights just were too bright.

I couldn't fit everything into one picture. They give so much!

We came for lunch and they open at 11:30 not 11 like Yelp says. The servers constantly checked on us asking if we needed more sides or if we'd like to order more meats. The flavors were excellent. None of the marinades were too sweet. Loved all the banchan and sides dishes. It felt like an excellently balanced meal. So excited for this excellent example of Korean bbq to be here close to us.

Banchan changes but it is all fresh and made in house

A little bit disappointing. The meat selection wasn't bad and the meats tasted pretty okay. However, our waitress wasn't very attentive but was very nice.

One of the best AYCE Premium Korean BBQ restaurants in Houston, they have a professional and knowledgeable staff. The meats are sliced fresh and taste phenomenal!!!! I would definitely recommend you try this place ASAP! AO 9/11/24 - Update based on feedbacks: With all-you-can-eat options, Hanu Premium Korean BBQ is offering a full dining experience allowing customers to grill their own meats with help from the staff. For lunch, customers can enjoy all-you-can-eat barbecue for $24.99 and $12.99 for children ages 4-10. Dinner ranges from $34.99-$44.99 for adults and $17.99-$24.99 for kids.

    Kids love it.

Love this place. Great food and great service. The best Korean bbq north of 610. Might be better than some of the KBBQ joints in China town and off gessner

One of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in Houston! Note: They just had a soft opening on August 16, 2024. the staff is new and they are in the process of getting down their systems and processes. They are friendly and helpful - just new. We had a wonderful experience with our family of 7 at this location. There meat was very flavorful, tender and tasted homemade. The kimchi tasted like the one mom makes - full of flavor. The high-quality of the beef, pork, chicken and seafood was very evident. The octopus and shrimp also tasted fresh and not frozen. The different variety of dipping sauces was nice however I typically focus on meat with kimchi. The egg appetizer was delicious, soft and a very nice addition to begin the meal. the kimchi stew and the jigae had a nice depth of flavor and came out very hot. The staff were extremely attentive, although note that it was the first day that they opened and about 930 at night, so there wasn't a lot of other patrons, but appreciated their attentiveness and helping us cook some of the meats and also cut some of the meats at the grill. The owner stopped by to check in on how we're doing and that was really a nice touch because he really wanted to know our feedback. he shared with us why he decided to open up the restaurant and provide high-quality Korean barbecue in the area. The atmosphere is very clean modern and the grill tops and air ventilation was top-notch. The entrance has a very large bar if that interests you. There is ample parking at this restaurant and not from the front, but also from the side I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back again and checking in with the family. Both my sons thought this was one of the better Korean restaurants that they could recall and the greater Houston area and note that we probably eat at a different Korean restaurant at least once a month.

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The pork ribs were the star of the show. So tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. Pair it with the hot sauce that they have on the side and it was chefs kiss! The best ribs I've ever had. The brisket on the other hand was a little dry and I wish it had more flavor, but the sauce made up for it. We also got the Mac n cheese with brisket on top. They really did not skimp out on the brisket. It was very delicious and the Mac n cheese was perfectly creamy and decadent. They also pickles, pickled jalapeño, and onions on the side which really cut the fat from the meat. The coleslaw that we got was okay though. Overall, it was a great experience. All the employees were nice and patient with us since it was our first time here and we had some questions. The vibes were definitely there. Will def stop by here if we ever go to Texas again!!

Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. My partner had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and a small helping of pickles and pickled red onions and I had the pulled pork tacos. My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.
