I have tried this place twice now and can confidently say I would recommend this Korean BBQ place to others. The meat quality is great and the soups and sides are solid. We have had AYCE Dinner B which is the one with the Premium Marinated Galbi. The Galbi is really good, but you only get one order of it. We have had AYCE lunch we're there isn't the Premium Marinated Galbi and it was good, but we missed the Galbi. It's that good. Between the soups, the dwenjang jigae (bean paste soup) is a bit better than the soon du boo. Unless you love super spicy food, I would avoid the spicy chicken. It's too spicy even for me and I like spicy food.

Stopped in for the first time with a group of friends for a weekday lunch, and we had a great experience overall. There was no wait when we arrived, and the service was impressively fast and attentive. We were a party of six and seated in a booth--it was a bit tight once all the delicious small side dishes, meats, and appetizers were laid out, but it was manageable. We tried a variety of meats and sides, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. If you like seafood try the seafood pancake, it was so tasty and fresh, my favorite out of everything! This place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a quick and satisfying lunch with a group. Just keep in mind that booth seating might feel a little cramped for larger parties.

Went here a few months ago for the first time, but felt that I needed to leave a review of my experience! It was just me and my girlfriend for lunch, and we tried various items from the AYCE lunch menu. We were blown away. Everything was very, very good! The price was very fair compared to the competition, and the quality of the meats, the side dishes (soups, steamed egg, corn cheese, etc.), the banchan--everything was delicious! The service was great--very kind and attentive--and the place was very clean. We were skeptical at first because we were one of only two parties dining at the time, but I hope more people can come and try this place out. That's why I'm writing this review. I plan on coming back and hope it will be just as good as our first time!

In anticipation of a new Korean bbq place this one doesn't disappoint. The meats are pretty good quality, we did the lower tier of the two choices I think the higher tier had some stuff that I'd love to try, but the steep jump and budget I had wasn't in the cards that day. Service at first was a not great from the waiter himself, I got there a little late and my friends were not too confident about our waiter and told me about it. However, our server went from the guy to the younger lady and the older lady and it changed significantly, I was happy to be taken care of and they checked on us so often, which was good because lots of places do not often do so. These ladies helped the service aspect jump back up to great expectations. Ambiance I feel would be the only thing that knocked a star down. I feel the lights are too bright and not moody enough, it felt a little like a warehouse. Don't get me wrong though the place is fun and well decorated the lights just were too bright.

I couldn't fit everything into one picture. They give so much!

We came for lunch and they open at 11:30 not 11 like Yelp says. The servers constantly checked on us asking if we needed more sides or if we'd like to order more meats. The flavors were excellent. None of the marinades were too sweet. Loved all the banchan and sides dishes. It felt like an excellently balanced meal. So excited for this excellent example of Korean bbq to be here close to us.

A little bit disappointing. The meat selection wasn't bad and the meats tasted pretty okay. However, our waitress wasn't very attentive but was very nice.

One of the best AYCE Premium Korean BBQ restaurants in Houston, they have a professional and knowledgeable staff. The meats are sliced fresh and taste phenomenal!!!! I would definitely recommend you try this place ASAP! AO 9/11/24 - Update based on feedbacks: With all-you-can-eat options, Hanu Premium Korean BBQ is offering a full dining experience allowing customers to grill their own meats with help from the staff. For lunch, customers can enjoy all-you-can-eat barbecue for $24.99 and $12.99 for children ages 4-10. Dinner ranges from $34.99-$44.99 for adults and $17.99-$24.99 for kids.

    Kids love it.

Love this place. Great food and great service. The best Korean bbq north of 610. Might be better than some of the KBBQ joints in China town and off gessner

One of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in Houston! Note: They just had a soft opening on August 16, 2024. the staff is new and they are in the process of getting down their systems and processes. They are friendly and helpful - just new. We had a wonderful experience with our family of 7 at this location. There meat was very flavorful, tender and tasted homemade. The kimchi tasted like the one mom makes - full of flavor. The high-quality of the beef, pork, chicken and seafood was very evident. The octopus and shrimp also tasted fresh and not frozen. The different variety of dipping sauces was nice however I typically focus on meat with kimchi. The egg appetizer was delicious, soft and a very nice addition to begin the meal. the kimchi stew and the jigae had a nice depth of flavor and came out very hot. The staff were extremely attentive, although note that it was the first day that they opened and about 930 at night, so there wasn't a lot of other patrons, but appreciated their attentiveness and helping us cook some of the meats and also cut some of the meats at the grill. The owner stopped by to check in on how we're doing and that was really a nice touch because he really wanted to know our feedback. he shared with us why he decided to open up the restaurant and provide high-quality Korean barbecue in the area. The atmosphere is very clean modern and the grill tops and air ventilation was top-notch. The entrance has a very large bar if that interests you. There is ample parking at this restaurant and not from the front, but also from the side I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back again and checking in with the family. Both my sons thought this was one of the better Korean restaurants that they could recall and the greater Houston area and note that we probably eat at a different Korean restaurant at least once a month.

The banchan really impressed me too. The kimchi had the perfect crunch and might be some of the best I've had. The fish cakes and scallions were also on point. I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. Still, great good, fantastic value, and definitely the real deal. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive neighborhoods of Houston (and a bit out of the way for me), but sometimes you just want some really tasty and unpretentious Korean comfort food.

They make their tofu in-house, and you can really taste the difference. The soup is rich, comforting, and flavorful without tasting overloaded with MSG. It's the kind of meal that just warms your soul. We also ordered the cheese tonkatsu, and my husband got the seolleongtang. We normally aren't fans of cheese tonkatsu--in fact, we didn't even realize it had cheese in it when we ordered it--but wow... it was actually so good. Definitely a pleasant surprise. My husband's seolleongtang was amazing too. The banchan was fresh and well-prepared, and every dish we had was delicious. The service was absolutely perfect. The ladies working there were incredibly kind and even brought my husband extra noodles for his soup without us asking. That small gesture really made our experience even more memorable. Thank you so much! There's a decent amount of parking, but dinner time gets pretty busy, so I'd recommend arriving early since it's not a very large restaurant. 10/10. This is definitely one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Houston, and we'll absolutely be back.

That said, the consistency of both service and food quality between visits can be noticeable. Service can be very slow at times, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

To be honest, I think the menu tablets are a bit overkill since they have a small enough menu to look though, but it is good for people who aren't familiar with Korean food or the establishment itself. What's nice is you can get many of the dishes with noodles or rice as your starch of choice. 10/10 Jjamppong - the broth is flavorful, seafood rich, and noodles perfectly bouncy. SOO good. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so it's easily shareable. 7/10 Chicken Fried Rice. It's expensive for the amount of rice you get. Flavor is good, but there's not a lot of chicken.
