I paid for a dip powder manicure, and within 24 hours, two nails had already fallen off. By the second day, every single nail had come off. I would not recommend getting dip powder here. I really love this place and the people who work here are always so sweet. It's super convenient for me, and I honestly feel bad writing anything negative because everyone is kind and welcoming. That said, I feel like I have to mention the pedicures. This last one just wasn't good -- my toenails came out uneven and pointy, and even after about a week of growth, they're still not shaped nicely. There's also a thick glob of clear gel on one nail that makes it look messy. It's frustrating because I paid around $80, and this isn't the first time -- the last two pedicures I've had here were also disappointing. Going here isn't worth it. Me and my best friend called ahead and they said it was 55$ and they charged us 160$ in total and they aren't cute and bulky. They are chunky and messed up on my design. You shouldn't be ripping acrylics off anyways. She knew she shouldn't have been ripping them off because after she injured me she tried soaking my nails. I'm very disappointed. My big toe has been painful since the pedicure, and the technician used the wrong color even after confirming the number. When I asked to fix it, I was told to pay extra. I got a manicure and pedicure done with them. I was very dissatisfied with their gel manicure service as the polish started to chip within two days. I went back to get it fixed and within 3-4 days it started to chip once again. This place was nothing short of amazing! We came a bit after they opened as a group of 4 for my bachelorette weekend and were sat quickly. We were served mimosas, teas and water! They were so kind and accommodating! The woman who helped me kept a nice conversation going and was super meticulous. I had the mid-priced gel pedicure and a regular manicure with regular polish since I'm doing my nails again for my wedding in two weeks. My lady was so detailed and took her time. She caught her mistakes as she worked in me and fixed them until my toes and fingers looked PERFECT. She even found the regular polish color to match my gel toes! I added a legs and underarm wax to my service as well. The same lady who did my nails also did my wax. Again, very meticulous! She made me super comfortable and no awkwardness at all (my first time waxing underarms)! She explained the process in detail and made it quick and painless. She went in with tweezers to pluck the line hairs too. The location for this place was super easy to find. The inside was very neat and clean! Everything wrapped u til it was time to use. Everything was organized and well kept. The inside was also decorated very nicely, even fancy-looking! Very cute decor and style! The customer service here was above par! This was my 3rd time going after moving back to Oceanside from out of state and they just don't listen to what you want and overcharge. I usually get acrylics with gel but I spend 50$+ plus tip each time so I wanted to save a little this time. I asked for acrylic, no gel which they advertise as $38 on their website and at the front desk. When I sat down the guy at the front desk kept asking me again to do gel. I said no thank you like 3 times. Just regular acrylics. Then the woman who did my nails totally cut my cuticles to where I was bleeding and flinching. She asked if I was ok multiple times but kept grinding into my fingers more. My nails look ok besides that. I still tipped her $5 in cash (I usually tip 10 but she cut me super bad on multiple fingers) but I guess that wasn't enough for her because she gave me the receipt saying 59$. I never even paid that much for acrylics with gel, so I feel like they just add more tip to whatever they feel like they should get. I told the man at the front desk I never paid that much before when I got gel and he said something to her then she said something back, and he goes ok $53. I don't understand how they can just charge whatever they feel like that day and don't have a set price. I would've gotten gel if I knew I was going to be charged that much anyway. I'm a nail tech, and I've had my nails done 1000's of times. Hands down one of the worst applications I've ever had done. I got an acrylic fill with shellac, and shellac pedicure. The polish on my toes wasn't straight it had lumps and started bubbling 4 days after it was done. My acrylic nails....don't get me started. After 45 minutes, not a single employee had talked to me but several were walking around and would not make eye contact with the several guests waiting for a service. The floors weren't too terrible but their decorations aren't well taken care of. Their extension cords set up is also a concern and they're dusty and dirty. Wow! Walked in and was greeted right away. They have this cute little self check in stand with a tablet. Looks like you can earn points from your check ins. Then you walk all the way in and realize this place is huge! Plenty of chairs for pedicures and tables for manicures. The music was so soothing, very relaxing atmosphere. The price jumped from $30 to $25 when I walk Ed in to ask for a gel manicure and regular manicure. Maybe be it was a rainy day and I was the only one in the salon the manager thought to auction off prices. I nearly wanted to say, "going for $30, $25, can I get a , $20 dollar gel Pedicure" lol. To say the least it was the first sign I should have turned away, beside taking the chance and yet, still giving the chance to try them even after reading the reviews of them on Yelp. I thought why not and went for it. The girl who did my feet was fast. And I never saw her remove my cuticle from around my toenails. She massages me for about 5-7 minutes, was the first best thing I could say and. Second is my polish (regular to CND to match my gel nail) was good and is still looking good on my toes. The gentleman who did my manicure I will give a little less credit to.. at the time, I was happy with his attention to detail. He cleaned up my cuticles nicely, and all the rest was good. Now for the nightmare of less shy of one week my gel manicure started to chip and within the full week my gel manicure was getting caught in my hair and I forced to just pull the lifting gel nail polish off. I am returning today to see how they will accommodate my complaint. I gave them 3 stars out of the kindness of my heart and I hope they will again help me to have a better impression of them, otherwise I will review again with 1 star and state why all over again. Please just use caution when going. They do offer a $12.99 manicure upon Yelp checkin and I don't think you'll be wasting your money there! read more
