We were able to rotate between different juices such as grapefruit, pineapple or cranberry. Definitely a good deal and fun spot for a cubs game before. We ordered the breakfast pizza and loved it. My friends and I were roaming around Lakeview neighborhood and passing by Happy Camper. That's when our pizza cravings kicked in and we just decided to walk in. We ordered a tavern style pesto pizza and a classic margherita pizza. Their tavern style is 14" extra thin crust and square cuts. Even though, I couldn't taste pesto much, the overall flavors were pretty bang on. Margherita pizza was better than pesto one. The ambiance is quite lively, fun and filled with ceiling hanging lights. It's very similar to Paradise Park in Wicker Park. My friend and I that are both from out of town had such an amazing time. We laughed so hard and kept talking about how much fun we were having. It was ordinary bingo (bingo cards, dabbers passed out for you to use, etc.). The prizes were random and hilarious (fish slippers, ramen noodle blanket, shots for your table). Ryan the host had such a fun personality, and it really made the night a great time. The food was great - we had the giant pretzel, the gauvar pizza, and a cookie skillet at the end. At 1st I just assumed it was because it was busy, although we were sat right away with reservations. Our waiter seemed bothered. Basically he never checked on us. We had to wait to "see" him to request another drink, for salt for margaritas, and even wait to ask for bill to pay. Extremely disappointed because we were referred by someone as a great place. It just didn't sit right with me, especially because we, grandparents, really wanted to make this night special. Absolutely nothing made it special. Came for a party during the happy hour times on a Tuesday. Ordered the drinks on the happy hour but was charged regular full price. I brought it up but the server said it was already put in. I really didn't feel like arguing since I needed to go so I ended up paying the regular price. They advertise 1/2 espresso Martinis and I was charged the I believe 13 per order. I don't know if a regular espresso martini costs 26 averaging a 10 oz cocktail but that's a bit extreme. Service and food is good but diminished by the adherence to their happy hour. I feel like they just took advantage of the fact that we were a big group and no one would notice despite us having separate checks. I recommend the whiskey and cold brew coffee cocktail. read more
