The ladies that worked inside were extremely friendly. The menu is exactly what you expect from a diner. Didn't disappoint. The cook did a great job with my burger and the fries were fresh and hot! Good place to enjoy comfort food. Went back two days later for breakfast. Again, can't say enough about the customer service and the food. Side again I couldn't decide what I wanted I order a small open biscuit and two steak fingers on the side -hit the spot!! Recommend this place to anyone in town

Exactly what you would expect from a diner. Tea was great, fruit salad was delicious. Hamburger was juicy and breakfast served all day. Too bad we were to full to try a few scoops of ice cream!

We tried this place for breakfast recently and had a good experience. The place is on the smaller side with about 12 tables/booths. We went around 9 am on a Saturday and timed it right. The servers were friendly. They have a large menu with options for everyone. It's on the pricey side for breakfast, but when we saw the portion sizes, you definitely get what you pay for. The biscuits and gravy were great. The classic breakfast plate was filling. My daughter enjoyed her fruit and cinnamon toast on the appetizer menu. The burgers looked great and so did the ice cream selection. We would definitely come back.

My first time at Happy Days Diner LLC in Mineral Wells. Cannot believe I have waited so long. I was hungry for pancakes and eggs from somewhere other than my normal eateries. Trust me .... I was not disappointed. The pancakes, I should say pancake, because I could only one because I was so full. The eggs were cooked my favorite way. One over easy and one over medium. Ham had a great breakfast ham flavor and the hash browns hit the spot. I highly recommend. Breakfast is served all day. My kind of place. I kept looking for the Fonze to walk in at any moment. Service was perfect. Thank you. (PS I apologize but I forgot to get a picture before I started. As you can see I like a few hash browns with my ketchup Happy Days Diner, 319 North Oak Avenue, Mineral Wells, TX

Stopped today on our way out of town after an anniversary camping trip. My wife is a huge diner fan so I thought it would be an awesome way to end the trip. We sat down and ordered around 10:30 and our food did not come out until 11:45. We tried to make the best of the wait for the first 45 minutes. Played old maid and enjoyed the decorations and wood work. The last thirty minutes were very frustrating. Nobody kept us updated with our order or if something was wrong. However they did keep refilling our drinks. When we got our food it looked fine but we were already frustrated. The first bite I took the food was cold. I got the twisted biscuit, the gravy tasted like dehydrated gravy, the biscuits tasted frozen the egg was cooked perfect though. My wife got the big breakfast plate with sausage and an extra side of bacon, the hashbrowns were fine but tasted like Waffle House hash browns (not a terrible thing) she took a bite of her sausage and it was not completely cooked. I had ordered a side of bacon and it came out with only one slice. My wife had also asked her scrambled eggs to have cheese with them and there was no cheese. Our waitress was very nice and offered to bring out another piece of bacon since a side should contain two. I was so done at this point I just said no thank you I want to pay for my meal and leave. I do want to point out that our waitress was very kind, when I was paying for the meal the tip screen came up and she said no don't worry about the tip. I of course still gave her a tip, but I don't know that I've ever had a server say that to me. Overall the food was way overpriced, a breakfast plate with two eggs one meat hashbrowns and French toast should not cost $18. The food without the cooking issues was okay, but the combination of that long of a wait, cold food, mediocre taste, high price, and simple mistakes from the kitchen after that long of a wait. I would never return.

Don't fall for the hype. The service was great, but they were short-staffed, and we were told that every chance they could get. The food was gross. I ordered the twisted biscuit, as that is their specialty. It looked like dog vomit and tasted just as bad. This is an honest review as we went here because of the 'excellent' reviews.

Cute restaurant. Great service, everyone was friendly. It was fast. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend.

Chili dog, bad tasting chili, way too many onions and tough dog. Are as much as could tolerate as waited an hour for this.

Really slow service, saw people at the next table giving kids crackers as the hour long wait was unexpected. Has chili dog and chicken fingers and was neither fresh nor well made or instructions followed. Long wait for not good food means not likely to come back. They are training service staff but service was bad when we were here last summer too so ongoing problem. Also if the food is not appetizing to eat and poorly made, improving service won't help.

Hours and days. Open every day except Mondays.

Had breakfast. No complaints. Typical diner food. Neat building. Didn't have one but pancakes looked about an inch thick.

Mediocre food at a high price. Also, the amount of time spent waiting on said mediocre food is excessive.

Jason, the owner, came to our table and met us, knowing we were new there and made sure we were taken care of and happy with our service so far. he was so accommodating and friendly, no wonder the regular customers wanted us to meet him. next, our service from Vino, our server, was fantastic. he was so customer focused and didn't say a single word without the biggest smile on his face. i am so thankful for him and his customer focused attitude. before we ordered our final meal after the preztal bites (AMAZING) shaylee, another bartender/ server stopped by our table to ask what we were thinking of ordering, i told her i was thinking about the spicy peach wings (odd flavor i know), she stated that was what she had for lunch and as a former service employee myself, if you're ordering the food you serve... it's good. that completely sold me on the flavor. i ordered bone in spicy peach and i kid you not, ate every single wing to a clean bone without hesitation. the fries...... SO CRISPY. i don't know much more to say other than, the atmosphere here is so small town and comfy and just a fantastic place to relax. we will definitely return. thank you so much for the amazing service and even more for the food. shoutout to Vino, Jason, and Shaylee!! you three were amazing and you have a very good establishment to be proud of. thank you for taking such good care of us!!

We had the fried pickles to start. I had the Cheesy Call Grilled Cheese. It had Brisket, cheese (of course), bacon and grilled jalapenos on a jalapeno sourdough bun and tater tots. Our son had the same as me but without the jalapeños and bacon but on texas toast with fried okra and he enjoyed it. My wife had the Philly cheese steak with tots and said it was good. Didnt get pics of the other sandwiches because we were hungry after the trip . Nice selection of beers as well. Had Shiner Bock because I'm in Texas so there's that. Overall, will go back again.

I gave it three stars due to location. The up front service was polite and friendly. Lots of good people smiles and attentive. Our waitress was pleasant and gave suggestions along the way. I was expecting a fabulous 5 star food experience. I was so disappointed. The food was a great disappointment, no flavor. The plating was a mess and not appealing at all. We had a party of four and only one person was pleased with their dinner. This was the Beet Salad. Sloppy plating, only about four beet slices, covered in micro greens, freeze dried chickpeas, and vinegar. The vinegar dressing overpowered the salad and it needed salt. For $15, I was so disappointed Soba Noodles was poorly plated. Down right ugly and unappealing. The person who ordered it, said it was plain. No taste and extremely vinegary. Such a disappointment. Broiled Salmon was plated just ok. The salmon was cooked well and had good simple flavor. I enjoyed it. The side was supposed to be butternut squash and broccolini. I got four butternut squash cubes and 1 tiny broccolini. The purée on the bottom was a vinegar butternut squash- very sour and not enjoyable. It did add to the dish at all. In between the butternut squash and broccolini, there was about 13 soggy croutons that made the sides look filled in but left the palate wanting more. I so dislike soggy bread, no matter what format it comes in. The whole plate was covered in micro-greens, as to hide the plating and make it look bigger than what it is. The New York strip was cooked to perfection and the polenta was tasty. However that whole plate was $55. Plated well and had really good flavor. This party member was the only one that enjoyed his food and experience. Out of the four of us, only one left satisfied with his meal. And that was the New York strip steak. The rest of us left hungry and unsatisfied with our dinners. We were hoping that our very souls would have been touched by the food of this particular Chef . We had heard so many great things about it, only to be incredibly disappointed. I will say that this restaurant is the most expensive, fanciest , nicest, AND CLEANEST restaurant in Mineral Wells. But the food is lacking. I'm sorry.
