Had a craving for custard filled donuts and this place definitely hit the spot! Love that this mom and pop shop is opened 24 hours a day, making fresh donuts at multiple points throughout. Great variety of donuts, especially my favorite custard filled (and it's generously filled) and also lemon filled. Great prices (with a cash discount), love the classic old school decor and vibes. Hope this small business continues to thrive for years to come.

Only go to donut spot in San Jose area for me. Donuts are fluffy and soft in the inside. Taste is delicious. Not stale and not hard. 10/10 . Plus they are open 24/7!

I was really looking forward to enjoying my apple fritter, but while I was eating it, I found this object baked inside. It appears to be some kind of hard fragment that bends slightly, possibly a piece of bone or another foreign object. Needless to say, I was shocked and disgusted. How does something like this end up inside an apple fritter? Finding a foreign object in food raises serious concerns about quality control and sanitation. Now I'm questioning how carefully all of the pastries and donuts are being prepared and handled. This completely ruined my experience, and I'm honestly very disappointed and disgusted af!!!

Love that they open 24/7!! Have been a few times now and every time and at any hour I've been, the workers have been very nice and sweet. The donuts ofc are yummy. My partner who doesn't typically like cake donuts at all was surprised by how good these ones were because of the nice crunch all around. The little bell welcome and message has me dead every time though

This is our go to spot for doughnuts. The lady and the man who are taking the orders are very friendly and always give a goodie extra when we buy a dozen doughnuts :) They also have coffee, sandwiches and smoothies. It's a cash only place but they have an ATM machine there too.

After trying to find a donut shop after work for National Donut Day, I was ecstatic to see Happy Donut is open 24 hours. The woman working the counter was attentive and friendly, she was working on a few orders when I came in and communicated with me that she would help me soon. They had a large variety and I was super happy to get a blueberry donut because it's my favorite, but not all shops sell it. At check out, the woman threw in a couple donut holes for free of charge. Great spot to support local business and get a treat. Plus they have designated parking!

This is a donut shot. The place look scrunch but the donut was goooood. Go try it if you haven't had the chance. Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are average . 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of American food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in USA. Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's need Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Go foodies Total max is 25 Score 18 Stars = 72% round up to 3 stars

I stopped by Happy Donut today--it's one of those old-school spots that feels like it's been around since the '80s, and honestly, it probably has. The place has that nostalgic charm, and the donuts? Surprisingly good. It's the kind of hidden gem that deserves way more love than it gets.

What more can you ask for? Friendly service from a donut shop open 24 hours in the 7 Trees area?!? . Donuts fresh. Iced coffee is delicious. Establishment is clean. I'm not sure what more you'd ask from a ma and pop donut shop.

I arrived on a Wednesday morning and was surprised that there was a line out the door. The counter seating was also about 80% full. You can cut the line if you have a pick up order or are only getting 1-2 donuts. I texted my partner when I got in the line and it took about 22 minutes from lining up to walking out with my donuts. The guys making donuts at the front were churning them out even at around 9am, no doubt the donuts will sell out! There's an ATM at the back if you forget cash. I ordered two glazed old fashioned donuts, one maple raised, and one chocolate raised. All were thoroughly delicious and perfectly crisp. Service was very prompt, got my 4 donuts and went on my merry way. Nothing like a fresh Stan's donut, they're still good a few hours later but taste best right off the line. I saw several customers eating their donuts in their cars and I also took a few bites in the car, hence why I don't have photos to show.

But everything moves quickly and especially on weekends, there are so many employees pumping out donuts. You can also take a seat at the counter for counter service, but seating is limited and you'll have people standing behind you the whole meal. If you're good with that, then I'd recommend dining in! I love all varieties of their glazed donuts, regular and cake. I feel like their old-fashioned-like donuts are the best I've ever had.

There's no seating area inside the bakery, but there are some tables outside next to a water fountain. Of the times that I've been there, it's mostly empty and clean, and the trash bins are not overflowing. The donuts are absolutely delicious. The brioche donut is soft but holds the fillings in well. There's also a bit of crunch from the sugar on the outside of the donut. There's an ample amount of filling, so you get to taste the flavors. So far, my favorites are Irish cream, lemon blueberry, and banana cream. It is a bit messy to eat, so have napkins and a small plate to catch any sugar or filling that may fall out when you bite into it. We had their chocolate chip cookie. It looked like a big mound of baked dough. Overall, it was okay. I would easily skip this for the donuts instead. I haven't tried their coffees, but my daughter loves the hot chocolate, and I have been enjoying their calamansi juice. It's nice and tart, not too sweet. I have seen some savory options but have not tried them. I will be back to explore the menu.

During one of our donut runs, we noticed they also serve poke bowls at a really great price, especially if you have a student ID. Unfortunately, the first time we came to try the poke, they had already sold out. Lesson learned! On our second attempt, we arrived earlier and were able to order two poke bowls. The only issue was that the rice was still very hot, and by the time we got home, it had partially cooked the poke. Our third visit was perfect because we learned from our first two experiences. We came early again and asked if the poke could be packed separately since the rice was still warm. The employee was incredibly kind and even had me hover my hand over the rice to check the temperature. It was definitely still hot, so he happily packed the poke separately for us. I'm so glad he did because everything tasted great once we got home. The poke was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly saucy, which we loved. Comes with seaweed salad. While they don't offer many toppings and add-ons as a traditional poke shop, the quality and price make it an excellent value. It's actually perfect for my daughter since she prefers her poke without a lot of extras. We'll definitely keep coming back--not just for the mochi donuts, but for the poke bowls too!

If you like fudge brownies you'd like these. My issue was the burnt almond cake, both vanilla slices were on the dry side. Customers usually come in, grab what they need, pay, and head out, which keeps things moving smoothly. One of the best things about this bakery is the incredible variety of pastries and breads. Don't skip the refrigerated section either! They carry fruit sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, fried bread, donuts, somen noodles in a cup, and other delicious grab-and-go items. They also offer rice balls and drinks that can be ordered at the register. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and give them a try. Small businesses like this deserve our support!

We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.
