THE WOMEN OWNER IS A BITCH!!! I asked her when are you guys going to accept other forms of payment besides Cash Only? It was clear i wasn't the only customer who's asked this, because she immediately got mad and her fake nice "thank you come again" went out the door. She said "we've been in business for over 20 years and haven't." I said don't you care a out your customer? This was after I'd gotten cash from the machine. I said it cost your customer $2 just to get cash. She said "its about making good doughnuts that's allthat matters." I didn't really have friends when I moved to San Jose, and when I did, they always seem to scare me with the Seven Trees area... but I've always wondered why there'd be a 24 hour donut shop there if it was.... haha, I drive by this place all the time to and from work, so I thought one morning going to work to drop by and get some. Their donuts are YUMMIE. :) The guys from work like'em and I love 'em ... The area at night though, it's very well lit, have you ever noticed how friggin bright it is on the inside? Haha, I felt blinded being in there, by myself, with a donut shop employee. But even in the evening the donuts tasted fresh, felt fresh, and looked fresh.. Came here for the first time with my friends a few weeks ago. It was about 1am and we were excited to find a place that was open at such a late hour! They had about half of their glass case filled with donuts. They had most of the usuals, like glazed, chocolate, maple/chocolate bars, sprinkles, etc. They did not have my favorite donut which is the powdered sugar covere lemon filled donut. They are open 24/7 which might be the reason why they don't have all of the flavors out all the time. I got a chocolate bar with custard filling and I thought it was good. It just didn't taste quite fresh so it could have been better. This place is in a little bit of a ghetto area so I'd suggest going with at least one other person. Most of the time you get good donuts, but when the times are bad, they'll be stale & airy inside. Service late night is on and off, regarding their patience when you're making tough choices. Swung by with a friend after leaving Coffee Lovers because we needed a study place and only so many places were opened 24. Figured some late night sweet cravings and a 24/7 donut shop just couldn't go wrong. Besides, who else would be there to distract us, right?! The guy working there is so incredibly nice and helpful. Also, rather sociable and funny. We got an iced tea, mango tango smoothie, and my friend got a donut (not sure which he got). The tea wasn't too sweet, the smoothie was actually a lot better than I expected, and the study session went well (yay!) From what I remember from my last visit, the donuts are made regularly and throughout the day - so nothing is kept out for an extreme duration without being tossed out to be replaced with a new batch of sweet delights. Fresh, sweet donuts that aren't over seasoned, glazed, or frosted... and the place is opened around the clock! What more could you ask for? The place was kept pretty clean. There were a couple flies flying about around the seating area; but, with the door opened it wasn't anything surprising. Their version of a crumb donut was heavy on the cinnamon side and not the traditional crumb style and their glazed was lacking an even coating.
