We had been volunteering at the Happy Goat Farm a couple miles off Highway 49 so I thought it appropriate to try their restaurant in town. They're a small space, so it can get busy on weekends. We were initially seated at the bar but once a booth opened up our server happily moved us there. I got a peppermint white mocha and the chicken and waffles. The Southern part of me yearned for the classic dish, and they did it very well. The peppermint flavor wasn't my favorite. Old diner with a long bar and griddle setup behind it. Watching short order cooks working is really fascinating. Both booths and tables are retro style with nice decorations. Wasn't very busy at the time. I got the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. The squeeze had the breakfast burrito but she did her own review. It took over 20 minutes to get the food, which seemed excessive for what was ordered. The sausage gravy was phenomenal. Having said that, the biscuit was disappointing, it seemed pretty dense. Super cute diner-style restaurant in the heart of Mariposa. To say our breakfast was absolutely amazing would be an understatement. I had the huevos rancheros and was a bit skeptical about how they would taste, but I was absolutely blown away by how incredible they tasted. The food was definitely worth the wait. We went on a Sunday morning and it was busy, the servers were working hard and I loved just how fresh everything was. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because our server could have been a little bit more attentive, but considering how busy it was, she still did a great job. The booths were a decent size, but a bit cramped to fit 4 adults, 2 kids and one toddler. The restaurant does not have high chairs, only booster seats. Wonderful clean and welcoming cafe with great food. Farm to table is true. For example, the mushrooms are grown specifically for them and are the oyster variety! Produce and pork come from their farm 3 miles away and you can easily taste the difference. Very friendly and kind staff in spite of being short handed and very busy. Very impressed with them working so well together and be kind and helpful towards each other. Sat at the counter and enjoyed conversation with the chefs! Loved the biscuits and gravy perfectly seasoned with lots of sausage. Added two eggs over easy. A little dash of the super tasty (and spicy) hot sauce and had a great breakfast. After my surprise birthday trip ( I also got engaged whoop whoop ) we stopped here hungry from hanging out on a farm and when I tell you it hit the spot. So I'll preface this by saying it would be a 3.5 if I could, but I'm giving the goat the benefit of the doubt. The interior is very welcoming and pleasant to be in, with a very pleasing white and green diner style seating area. The menu is expansive but not too intimidating, however for a farm to table restaurant we were shocked at how few salad options they had. That said we opted for a couple of sandwiches to get a feel for the fare. The chicken sando was a little bit of a miss for us, some fermented flavor permeated it and we think somewhere between the buffalo sauce and whatever fermented flavor we were picking up made it a bit of a flop. Nice and spicy and if you like that sort of thing it would be delicious. The Mariposa fire burger was good! A bit overcooked as we ordered medium rare and it came out medium well, waxy tomatoes and no onions were a bit of a disappointment, but our server was very pleasant and brought us some when we asked. The sweet potato fries were good and overall I enjoyed my meal I'll definitely be trying something else next time, but I will definitely give them another shot. It's worth mentioning there is a dearth of decent food in Mariposa so this is definitely worth a look. read more

This was such a lovely restaurant, and we all love brunch all day. We were a party of five and admittedly the booth was a little crammed for our group, but we made do. Normally I'd order eggs Benedict but by the time we were eating (1pm?) they were out of them. Instead I went for a mushroom burger and holy cow that might've been one of the best, most satisfyingly umami burgers I've ever had. (Maybe more sandwich sized than burger sized.) I did get garlic fries with the dish, the fries were okay. I think they felt like a slightly upgraded in-and-out fry, where it's somehow too potato-y in texture, so I'm sure some people would appreciate it, but I wanted something more fried-tasting. I also ordered a lavender lemonade, and was disappointed they ran out of butterfly pea syrup. That was the entire point! But the drink itself was quite tasty. Realistically I'm not going to come back here again any time soon (I don't live anywhere near Yosemite), but I'd recommend it if you're looking for a place to eat! read more

I'm sharing this feedback in the hopes that it's helpful to the owner and management team, because this place truly has potential. The food was genuinely fantastic -- I was delightfully surprised by the creative flavor combinations, like the rose chai and the chicken and waffle with pickled jalapeño and microgreens. They were unique and delicious! That said, I did notice some cleanliness issues that impacted the overall experience. The front entrance could use a refresh -- there were dead plants in the planters, along with cigarette butts and orange peels. Inside, there were visible smudges on the walls and floor (white isn't the best idea), a thick layer of dust on the fan near the entrance seating, and dead bugs in the corners. My husband also mentioned that the restroom (located outside) was in very poor condition and appeared to have rodent droppings. With such great food and a promising concept, I really hope the business considers hiring a dedicated cleaning service or improving their current one. A cleaner environment would truly elevate the whole experience and make it easier for customers to fully enjoy all the wonderful things this place has to offer. read more

We had to wait 30 min for a table, which is totally fine, but then our food took another 45 minutes to make. The chicken in the chicken and waffles was really good - the breading is delicious. The club sandwich was huge, and was full of fresh flavor with turkey, bacon, fresh tomato and avocado with a wonderful aioli.
