Cute little farm to table spot in downtown Mariposa. Had a little wait due to staff shortage during brunch, but after we got seated, our food came quickly. I enjoyed the breakfast tacos, which were great! The fresh fruit side was tasty and fresh.

We were passing through Mariposa hungry after a hike and craving breakfast. We saw this restaurant from the road and after seeing the yummy plates of food others had gotten, we decided to eat here. This was an incredible spot with exciting and unique menu items. The portions are huge and they have something for even the most adventurous taste buds. This will be a recurring favorite for us.

Had an excellent breakfast here in December 2025. Delicious food, and nice service. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Mariposa!

Wonderful clean and welcoming cafe with great food. Farm to table is true. For example, the mushrooms are grown specifically for them and are the oyster variety! Produce and pork come from their farm 3 miles away and you can easily taste the difference. Very friendly and kind staff in spite of being short handed and very busy. Very impressed with them working so well together and be kind and helpful towards each other. Sat at the counter and enjoyed conversation with the chefs! Loved the biscuits and gravy perfectly seasoned with lots of sausage. Added two eggs over easy. A little dash of the super tasty (and spicy) hot sauce and had a great breakfast. Also had the omelet with the mushrooms and ham along with fresh fruit and toast with honey butter. Coffee was hot and plentiful. PS - Chicken fried steak is HUGE and comes smothered in sausage gravy. Definitely recommend visiting when in Mariposa!

Came for late lunch. They close early at 3pm Thursday thru Monday . They have an upgraded cafe vibe. Got the butterfly lemonade Very floral and reallly good . We shared the mushroom melt on sourdough. It was very good we were surprised by the sweetness. The flavor was good it just seemed like it could have use more mushrooms and cheese. There were several bites where it was just toast, onion and aioli... otherwise good flavor. Also got the garlic fries they were good but could have used maybe some Parmesan or truffle oil... it was ok just again missing something... believe this place could be killer just a few things could use some extra pieces to make it wow!

A lovely dinner. Super clean with friendly staff, especially Melissa. Ordered the beet salad and a coke. As we arrived right before closing we just ordered something small and light. Would definitely come back here again.

After my surprise birthday trip ( I also got engaged whoop whoop ) we stopped here hungry from hanging out on a farm and when I tell you it hit the spot. It was fantastic and as a poc and a lesbian I didn't feel mistreated. Obviously in small towns people gawked but it was uncomfortable. It was like shock and then they just moved on.the butterfly lemonade was FANTASTIC. I crave it everyday now everything was so freaking fresh. If I had the money I'd just hire the chef to work for me lol o love it all. Maybe they can cater the wedding lol

The food was underwhelming and service was fine. It was just unmemorable but a nice pit stop. I didn't like the Hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict but couldn't pinpoint why. Country fried steak: nothing to write home about. For two people, the bill was about $50 or so.

So I'll preface this by saying it would be a 3.5 if I could, but I'm giving the goat the benefit of the doubt. The interior is very welcoming and pleasant to be in, with a very pleasing white and green diner style seating area. The menu is expansive but not too intimidating, however for a farm to table restaurant we were shocked at how few salad options they had. That said we opted for a couple of sandwiches to get a feel for the fare. The chicken sando was a little bit of a miss for us, some fermented flavor permeated it and we think somewhere between the buffalo sauce and whatever fermented flavor we were picking up made it a bit of a flop. Nice and spicy and if you like that sort of thing it would be delicious. The Mariposa fire burger was good! A bit overcooked as we ordered medium rare and it came out medium well, waxy tomatoes and no onions were a bit of a disappointment, but our server was very pleasant and brought us some when we asked. The sweet potato fries were good and overall I enjoyed my meal I'll definitely be trying something else next time, but I will definitely give them another shot. It's worth mentioning there is a dearth of decent food in Mariposa so this is definitely worth a look.

    Mushroom burger with garlic fries

This was such a lovely restaurant, and we all love brunch all day. We were a party of five and admittedly the booth was a little crammed for our group, but we made do. Normally I'd order eggs Benedict but by the time we were eating (1pm?) they were out of them. Instead I went for a mushroom burger and holy cow that might've been one of the best, most satisfyingly umami burgers I've ever had. (Maybe more sandwich sized than burger sized.) I did get garlic fries with the dish, the fries were okay. I think they felt like a slightly upgraded in-and-out fry, where it's somehow too potato-y in texture, so I'm sure some people would appreciate it, but I wanted something more fried-tasting. I also ordered a lavender lemonade, and was disappointed they ran out of butterfly pea syrup. That was the entire point! But the drink itself was quite tasty. Realistically I'm not going to come back here again any time soon (I don't live anywhere near Yosemite), but I'd recommend it if you're looking for a place to eat!

Came here for breakfast and it was delicious! Service was good and quick and fresh food! So good that I came back for their French dip sandwich later on which was perfect.

I was a bit worried stopping to visit this place because of the mixed reviews, but it was better than expected. My friend and I were sat immediately (probably because it was earlier in the day). The decor is very cute and it's relaxing. The place is a little small, and bathrooms are outside. We were given our menus and had a lot to choose from. I chose the chicken wrap with a side of fruit. The wrap tasted as expected. It had a lot of avocado which was great. I would have loved a kick of spicy, but that's what sauce is for. The fruit was good, just really small. The service was good. We didn't get checked on too often but that was fine. We got our food in a timely matter and enjoyed it. Overall, I would come again and try something new!

Charles Street Dinner House, Mariposa: 2026 Mar 12 (4 of 5)…read more Let me start off by saying that we were extremely pleased with the service, thanks to Dillon (who showed genuine rapport), Tomben (his honest opinions) and Amya (who brought me piping hot water in a beautiful mug and teapot). Their friendly, yet professional attitude make this eatery stand out. (5 of 5) This eatery has a vintage feel and historical charm. We felt we could really relax and take our time instead of being rushed to order, eat, then leave. The atmosphere feels rustic, exposing the past. It was a time capsule for folks who enjoyed that era. FOOD: Sauteed Mushroom Soup: The soup arrived with garlic bread. The soup had an earthy, savoury and nutty texture. The rich, velvety mushrooms were bouncy and cooked well, while the umami-packed broth felt comforting. The garlic bread that accompanied the mushroom soup had a perfect balance of textures - heavily buttered, with savoury garlic flavour. The golden-brown, crispy exterior was not overly toasted and the sticks were enhanced with a touch of herbal flavour. (5 of 5) New Zealand Rack of Lamb: This was my order - cooked medium-rare. The perfectly cooked meat was tender - unfortunately lacked seasoning, but a dash of salt brought this to a perfect 5. (5 of 5) I had a choice of potatoes or rice pilaf and made a wrong decision. The rice pilaf looked like baby food, and the fresh red pepper over-powered the entire dish. I tried a small scoop and was disappointed. Needless to say, I couldn't eat another bite of the rice. (1 of 5) My vegetables were mostly cooked well. They had a bit of crunch and texture but not raw. My dinner came with Tomato Soup. The soup tasted nutty and lemony, with a slight heat - and has a good aftertaste. It was silky and smooth, rich, and velvety. (5 of 5) Scallone: Our other order came with onion soup. My dinner partner had the privilege of tasting one of the best scallone years ago and was hoping to bring back great memories of this special dish he loved. This marriage of blending ground abalone and scallops is a savoury dish formed into patties. It is then breaded and lightly pan-fried in butter. The texture is supposed to be tender yet firm. The temperature was perfect but the patty came out almost like a regular pancake. A chunk of fresh red pepper was also thrown in, perhaps for colour, but it overpowered the dish. The pilaf rice was also a no-no. When the server came and asked how we enjoyed the dishes, I had to be blunt and said, "I didn't like the rice". Our server apologized and immediately offered to remove the rice on both plates and asked if we'd like potatoes instead. My partner opted for the baked potato. (5 of 5) The onion soup that accompanied this order was also a fail. Overall, this dinner was a 2 of 5. We were there to celebrate my birthday, so for dessert, we got Coconut Crème Brulee. Even though it wasn't cooked evenly, the light flavour of the coconut did not take over the mild flavour of the crème brulee. A lovely ending to an interesting dinner... and the crème brulee was a birthday treat, on the house. (4 of 5) Would we return? I think we would. I'd like to try other items on the menu because we feel it our privilege to have met some of the nicest staff in an eatery.

Cute restaurant, like a old house transformed, really only smelled like an old house in the tiny narrow bathrooms Service was absolutely fantastic, everyone we interacted with was so lovely. They all seemed to know everyone who was dining there, we were for sure the out of towners. I had a filet with side salad and baked potato. The vegetable side was well seasoned and cooked well. Basic side dish but done so well I ate them all. The thought that went into making my baked potato ready to scoop out was a small thought but I appreciated it! Even my salad was cold, crispy and crunchy. The bread on the table was delicious. My stake was yummy and loved the jus and mushrooms served with them. Hubs had the prime rib, he said it was one of the best ones he had in a long times he had the clam chowder to start and it was super tasty!!! Glad we had my birthday meal here!

We came here because they have vegetarian options and looked like a fairly quick option. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. We bought three sandwiches, two drinks, and a dessert from the cafe and the staff were rude and didn't let us eat at the tables in the cafe. Even though we had bought multiple items and just wanted to eat our sandwiches quickly before getting the staff member at the cafe was so rude we ended up taking our food outside and eating in our car in 103 degree heat. I got the roasted sandwich without cheese and with bacon. The sandwich itself was tasty and the chicken was moist. However, the cost was nearly $8 for half a sandwich, which was very small. Ambiance: the cafe area looked clean and was completely empty. It would have been fine and serviceable. Customer Service: 1 star. We arrived shortly before 3 p.m. and staff rushed us. I asked for three minute to read the menu and the cashier at the cafe said they were closing in two minutes. It was the most unwelcome I've felt at a restaurant in a very long time. There was no one else there, we had already bought multiple things from the cafe and spent over $50 all together and had to eat our sandwiches in the parking lot in 103 F heat. I've been to other establishments and unknowingly shown up near closing time, but usually that can be communicated politely. I regret spending any money here and supporting this business. Taste: 3 stars for the taste, texture and flavor of the chicken sandwich. 2 stars for the farmers market wrap. 3.5 stars for the carrot zucchini cake. Value: 2 stars. Half sandwich was overpriced and very small for the price.

The experience got off to a rough start when we waited five minutes before anyone acknowledged us or told us where to sit. Once seated, we waited an hour for our food. During that time, we learned that multiple menu items were unavailable. Given the long wait, we expected the food to be worth it, but when it finally arrived, much of it was poor quality and not edible. The most upsetting part of the evening was that our children were already tired and hungry from the long wait, and the overall atmosphere became increasingly uncomfortable. Nearby diners began making negative comments about our children, which left everyone feeling upset and unwelcome. After waiting so long and having such a poor experience, we were surprised that we were still charged for food that was largely left uneaten. I understand that restaurants can have difficult nights, staffing shortages, or unexpected issues. It was clear that the staff were going through a hard time. However, between the lack of service, long wait, unavailable menu items, disappointing food, and uncomfortable atmosphere, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences our family has had in a long time. After leaving, we ate at another restaurant in town and mentioned our experience to a local resident who said she had lived in Mariposa for more than 30 years and had repeatedly had negative experiences at Miners'. Hearing that made us feel like our experience may not have been an isolated incident. I hope management takes steps to improve both the customer experience and food quality going forward.
