Seafood and meat were very fresh and they had a nice selection of veggies, sauces, precooked items and desserts that you can choose from. I love hot pot! I would describe Happy Lamb as "pretty good", especially since the price was pretty high. I probably won't be back due to the price alone. The restaurant itself was very nice. There was a wide variety of vegetables to choose from, which was a big plus. The meat selection wasn't the best (although I do love lamb), and I didn't find the most expensive package to be worth it as far as quality of meat went. I came here for my first hot pot experience and it was amazing. I love how simple it is to set up your dining options and I was very impressed with the buffet! It's $25-30 a person depending on what type of meat you would like to order, and then they have a large amount of broth options to choose from as well. Besides loving the experience, I loved the boba part of the buffet and the sauce options. I had a blast making my own cotton candy and the treats from doki doki. This place is quickly becoming one of the top hot pot restaurants in town. It's clean and the self-serve section is organized. They also have a selection of premade drinks for you to choose from, which is not very typical around here. The menu is simple with not too many options to choose from but it's not that big of a deal to me since I usually like to eat a handful of certain things anyways. The visit was totally last minute, we were planning on visit another restaurant, but changed the plan when we passed Happy Lamb. The staffs were very welcoming, and we love the store set up, the self serving bars are our favorite feature of the store. When having at regular hotpot restaurants, one of the struggles is ordering, we like a wide variety of food selections to put in the pot, but regular ordering always comes in a decent size, which limits us from ordering too many. In Happy Lamb, self serving bar resolves the issue, we can take small portions of each item, but lots of varieties. While enjoying the freedom of selection, the quality of the items and the broth is not comparable by the other hot pot places. The broth is full with flavor and after taste, sauce became totally unnecessary. The staffs were nice, different staffs constantly checking on us to see if we were in needed of kitchen orders or other stuffs. Overall, no complaints, we hope the service and food quality will maintain the same high level forever, while price is unbeatable too, we will definitely become regulars. read more

This place is sooooooo good. The service is always friendly, they are always coming around to see if you want more broth or meat, and every single thing in their food bar is delicious. It's almost annoying how good the fries are, because you don't go to hot pot for french fries, but even those are solid. I love coming here after a long run or a day of skiing. I have talked up this restaurant to every single person I can and honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm stealing from this restaurant based on the price of it. Super delicious and clean. Huge variety of veggies, meats, and condiments. I love that they have a "first timers" card that shows you how/when to cook things and what pairs well with what. The problem was after we went home both my wife and I had bad diarrhea and bad stomach pain for days after eating there. Their food must be unclean or old, something is seriously wrong. I really liked this place and will be bringing my parents back. Being Chinese, hot pot hasn't ever been my favorite thing growing up but occasionally I want/crave it. I found that all their options were very authentic and mostly, massive variety and options across the board especially for dinner (I can't speak for lunch yet) but dinner options were fantastic. They have all the veggies and meats and even pre-cooked options like egg rolls, potstickers, fried chicken, fries, sesame balls, fried bread and desserts that are all apart of the included price. I was most impressed with the sauce bar because they have ALL the sauce fixings for authentic hot pot dressings and sauces and you can make anything you want which is usually what's missing with other places. The broth was great, we got original and spicy and they were both very packed with flavor but even better with the sauces. Will definitely be bringing my Chinese parents back here as I'm sure they'll love it and be thrilled there's something like this now in Utah. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a good hot pot option, coming from the Chinese girl who doesn't even really like hot pot, but this place may have changed her mind ;). read more

This is my No. 1 hotpot as of the moment besides the one in Chinatown. Well kept, clean, organized and great sides! I have been here a few times it is a hit and miss first time was really good I went for dinner. The second time was for lunch not even remotely same experience as it was at dinner. Lunch time all the food was old and dried out or just serving left. None of it was getting changed out. I observed a working would check on it every once while. Pretty impressed. I've been to a few of these in California. It's a classic hot pot restaurant. This place doesn't fall far from the tree. Their broth has a distinct smell and taste that you can't get anywhere else. They also have vegan options for the soup base, which is amazing for my wife. Other happy lambs aren't able to make their spicy broth vegan. This place also has more sides than others; including chicken wings, potstickers, and much more. Way more than I think is necessary. And lastly, I enjoy the "buffet" style. Get up and get your own ingredients. Better than waiting on servers I suppose. Great bang for your buck! read more
