I didn't change the sugar level or anything, just left it regular to see how the taste are. This is hands down my favorite boba spot in Elk Grove nothing else compares. Their Oreo milk tea with boba is incredible and has become my go to order. The boba is always perfectly soft and chewy, never overcooked or hard, which I really appreciate. The shop is consistently clean, the service is fast, and the staff is always welcoming and kind. I also had the chance to work with Gregory, the manager, when I placed a catering order for a party, and he made the entire process seamless. The price for 2 gallons and boba was reasonable. He was professional, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The drinks were a huge hit with our guests, it was absolutely worth it. I came here around 8pm and it wasn't busy at all! I ordered an avocado matcha smoothie with boba and it was pretty good! I thought the balance between the avocado and matcha worked well and it was the perfect sweetness! This wasn't on the menu in the store btw but you are still able to order it! Honestly my go to and almost the only thing I ever get here is their mango matcha. It's a slushee that has real mango pieces and the combination just works together really well! Only come for the drinks at this location, have been to the Bruceville/EG Blvd Happy Lemon once after Oz KBBQ but Sheldon is more convenient to get to (not as far south). My favorite is the Okinawa fresh milk with boba (brown sugar), while my mom usually gets the Milk Tea with Salted Cheese and boba (hot or cold). Parking can be a challenge right in front since the aisles are tight, maybe try the 2nd row away from the building. Always have prompt service here and never have to wait long for drinks. They do have summer/seasonal special drinks such as dragonfruit, ube, and graham flavors. Haven't tried the waffles although I am intrigued by the flavor options. Variations on their salted cheese such as Tiramisu also sound good, maybe next time! read more

Happy Lemon is one of the boba shops that I frequent in the Bay Area because I love the Puff Cream Milk Tea. Unfortunately, the drink at this location is a bit lackluster. The puff cream wasn't as flavorful or abundant as I would expect. I'm used to getting chucks of the puff cream while drinking (which I really enjoy), but when drinking the one from this shop, it just tasted like a standard black milk tea. Additionally, I think the drinks are less sweet than other Happy Lemon locations at 100% sweetness. Regarding cost, it's slightly more expensive by ~$0.25 per drink. What I do love though is that you can use the same rewards card across all stores so you can collect points regardless of which location you visit. Some places like Sharetea use Fivestars and you collect rewards per store which I really don't like. I did notice that they have Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Wednesdays! The sign didn't say how long this promotion will last, but that's a great deal. I wish all locations were participating in this. read more

I tried the passion fruit green tea for the first time and it was delicious! You could taste the tea and there was a perfect amount of sweetness. My sister had their matcha mango and it was significantly better than the other location. The texture was much smoother and we didn't taste a grainy aftertaste. Overall the drinks here is really good. I love how you can taste the tea and not water down tea. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is how they never get my drink order correctly. I've tried multiple times with ordering online in the store, but it never fails with some type or error. I typically order 6-7 drinks depending on how many family members are home. My two nieces are lactose in tolerance so I paid extra for the soy milk. Luckily I saw them make it and asked them if those were my drinks. They had to remake it. I've also had order some drinks a few weeks back and I was short one drink. For the most part their food and drinks are good but they need better service. Easy to find, next to 7-11, and lots of open parking in the shopping center. For covid reasons, they keep the door open so no one has to touch the handles. Signage is everywhere for proper health and safety. While they are not letting anyone sit inside, you may take your purchase and sit on a few tables outside. We had the fresh squeezed lemon with green tea. You can request a lower sugar level if you want. After your straw punctures the safety seal, you can smell that fresh citrus aroma of real lemons. Very refreshing, especially on a warm sunny day! The cheese milk green tea is Super good! They really perfected this balance of sweet and lightly salty :) excellent touch of matcha sprinkled on the top.
