    Black Milk Tea

Busy place over 50 ppl inside so be prepared to wait. Tried the black milk tea, mild tea flavor only. Decent price and cool Legos around. Lots of seating and parking

Snacks: popcorn chicken, chili fries, and takoyaki

My daughter and I are going on a boba adventure to try every tea store to see which ones are good. Hyper Tea definitely is good. It's hidden in a small area and it doesn't have the business name in big letters on its building either so literally hidden. The store is clean and super cute because they have toys as decorations. The person who took our order is this cute professional child. She's such a good sales person, she knows how to answer your questions too. We ordered a couple of snacks and drinks. The popcorn chicken is crunchy, tender and flavorful. The fries is good, I like the chili flavor. The takoyaki is really good, flavorful and has a nice proportion of octopus. The drinks were 100% sweetness. The thai tea is ok. The blended sunset is mango and strawberry, the drink was really delicious. They made the milk tea perfectly and the bobas tasted fresh. We really like the milk tea from here, the other spots we went to weren't as good and tasted strongly of tea or strange. Definitely will come back here again if it wasn't so far from us.

Thank you Austin for your great delivery and service for such short notice! We needed a Boba order for our team meeting. We called in and did it a very fast delivery to our office.! Last week

What you see is what you get with this reliable not-so-hyper Elk Grove spot for boba milk tea plus fixings. The beverages aren't the most inventive or inviting, but it'll satisfy either your sweet tooth or need to complete an online assignment via WiFi if necessary. I rounded up my 3.5/5 rating. I do appreciate the teen spirit infused into the Jenga blocks. Seeing all the names, social media shout outs and inappropriate comments written in marker bring simpler times to mind.

First time here and loved the decor. They got a giant boba drink statue, lego displays, and board games. They give drink stamp cards as well! I will be back to try more flavors.

Fast friendly service, boba was cooked fine but tasted bland. 30% sweet mango green tea was still pretty sweet, but was refreshing. The prices are very reasonable though and lots of tables which make this a good area for studying or meeting other people. I'd say this is similar to the level of PresoTea but with a better seating area.

We saw this place near the restaurant we wanted to try and because boba we had to stop by. The place was very spacious with a few activities/games to entertain and keep busy while waiting or to hang out while enjoying the drinks. I don't recall if there was a food menu item so maybe or maybe not but they are next to other places that do have food just in case. Tried a different type of drink with jelly a strawberry mango freeze. My mini had it and told me it was delicious and actually finished it. We all had fun hanging out playing the games that where there and enjoyed or visit/stay. Parking is available and I believe they have bathrooms for their guests The drinks didn't take long even when they had orders already ahead of us and mobile orders.

We had 2 times from their milk tea. It's okay, and we can customize the drink we like with no ice and sugar. The drink didn't surprise us, but it was still ok.

I loved their thai tea! The thai tea flavor is really present and the milk they use doesn't make the drink thick. The fries were yummy. Didn't take long to come out and was really fresh. They give you a good amount too. I really liked the music they played. It was giving 2016 radio pop! I think they're a small family/friend business so you know you gotta support.

I haven't come to this side of Elk Grove in awhile and it used to be cool tea bar. I originally came because I thought it was cool tea bar but it was Hyper Tea. I was sad to see cool tea bar was no longer here but still decided to check it out. Instantly had a feeling I was going to like it because there was a kid taking my order lol. For some reason, if kids take your order it's like the place is going to be good. We had ordered spicy popcorn chicken which was so moist. Usually most places is dry. We also got spicy fries which is just like any other fries. My boyfriend got takoyaki which he said was good. I also got a mango green tea and my boyfriend got a Thai milk tea. Mine tasted fine, a little too much boba for my preference. My boyfriend said his drink was a little bitter but not too much. Overall, I do look forward to coming back since they have popcorn chicken and most boba places don't have that anymore. They also offer stamp cards which is cool. The decor had a lot of Lego sets which was cool to look at. They had games you can plan. Also played kpop music! Definitely check it out! (Same review by me on Google)

Hyper Tea has been open for a little while so I'm surprised there aren't many reviews yet! I admit I was really bummed when I found out the previous boba shop here closed down but I'm always down to try a new place. The logo and cups are very cute here. The setup inside has pretty much stayed the same. Even the menu seems a little similar with the addition of some different drinks and a small snack menu. We chose the peach milk tea and the mango milk tea with boba. It took a little while to get the drinks but there were a couple bigger orders ahead of ours so that seemed reasonable. The actual milk teas were delicious but definitely on the sweeter side. But the boba did not taste to my liking, just was not soft/fresh enough. Service was not memorable but not rude either. They did have kids just sitting and playing behind the counter, which I totally understand working with kids, but just seemed kinda funny because they have so much seating and open space here that they could've had the kids sitting out there instead. Overall average experience, it's on the complete opposite side of town for me so I wouldn't drive all the way over, but if I was in the area I wouldn't mind stopping by again to give it another shot.

Good bye Cool Tea Bar, you will be missed dearly! TT^TT We came in on a lazy weekend, craving something sweet and spicy. I spoke to the cashier and asked if it's under new management, and he replied yes. I then asked if they can make their popular Roasted Milk Tea with Grass Jelly and again, he replied yes; so I decided to give that a try (Milk Tea). My bf got the Taro Milk Tea. We also ordered Takoyaki and Popcorn Chicken Spicy. The Milk Tea with grass jelly was ok. It did not taste like the Roasted Milk Tea...grass jelly was not the soft and melty one I remembered :( My bf enjoyed his Taro Milk Tea. I also had a sip and it tasted ok. I think it's the milk they used... Takoyaki came in five pieces ranging above $5. They were hot! So be careful eating one whole piece. The popcorn chicken was good and had a good spice. Overall, I had a pleasant time checking out Hyper Tea. Friendly customer service, food and drinks came out in a timely manner, and plenty of parking. Note: their cups are so cute!! Love the teddy bears

Tbh, I was a little nervous since there haven't been many recent menu photos or reviews. We took everything to-go, but it was piping hot out of the kitchen and only took about 10 minutes from ordering at the counter to leaving with the goods in-hand. There is plenty of space to dine-in as well. Their menu is huge - almost overwhelming - but they have a little bit of everything. I stopped in specifically for BBQ Pork steamed rice rolls, which can be tough to find at most places outside of a dim sum menu. The price was reasonable (I think $6.75) and it was a great portion. Very flavorful, tender, and a delicious sauce! We also got an order of steamed BBQ pork buns (3 total). Surprisingly, I don't think it was the same meat from the rice rolls but that's OK because it was almost shredded consistency with a good flavor. The bun is a bao-style bun, so less fluffy than my preferred steam bun type but perfectly steamed nonetheless. We ended with an order of sesame balls (3 piece). I was surprised at how much oil was in the to-go container, and a little disappointed that there wasn't more of the sesame coating, but they were so FRESH! I assumed the inside would be red bean but instead it was jelly cubes that reminded me of square boba jellies. Possibly pineapple flavored? It was not my thing but also my fault for not confirming it what was inside. Will definitely be coming back for rice rolls!

The ambience is so comfortable & relaxing. The lights are soft & pacifying, the acoustics are not super loud for my aging ears, even when it's packed with people. I love how conducive it is to conversation when im on dates or when I'm on 1-1 meetings or even with a group of 6 people. The chairs are padded, comfortable for my aging bones. Seating is from 2-6 seats. In the colder months there's heaters & chairs outside which is nice aesthetically, ambiencey & for that patio like feel. I love that they open relatively later than usual and most boba spots (10am-10pm, Mon-Sun). I can usually modify my drinks to low or no sugar, light ice, and modify my milks because I'm a modifying my drink type of gal. One super cute thing I love about T% is that will decorate for most holidays. I love the decor for Christmas which includes a huge tree, for Valentines a giant bear & heart & an interesting looking telephone, for Chinese New Year some dragon decor. The service is awesome. They answer all my questions, and even help me when I can't find stuff on their self order kiosk, which is also convenient to get my order in. I've tried their creme brulee brown sugar drink, snow grapefruit with tea and their peach oolong tea and I love how you can really taste the tea. I usually adjust the sugar level for the fruit tea drinks at 50%. For the brown sugar drinks, the sweetness can't be adjusted. I've tried their matcha brown sugar with boba in Hawai'i and loved it! So I will definitely get that the next time I'm in the area. You can order at the kiosk, or a human can take your order. Unfortunately, we realized on the day of our wedding that they do not do gallon orders for the fruit teas. They only do gallon orders for their milk teas. This was disappointing, because we had purchased fruit teas from them at least two other times in the past year without any issue. I can only imagine why they discontinued catering for their fruit teas. We ended up having to go to a competitor. If you want to order their gallons, you would need to call them at least a half hour in advance to make your order. There was no way of filling out a form or notifying them days/weeks in advance for the gallons. The gallons are boxed up in a bag, inside of a cardboard box. There is a sturdy handle and a spout you just have to break the seal to use. They also offer their large cups and straws for catering, if desired. We ended up ordering their jasmine milk tea at 50% sweet for gallon catering, which is the perfect amount of sweetness for catering, and this is also our go-to milk tea order. They make their fruit teas pretty well here. We love ordering their lemon grapefruit tea. It's so refreshing and full of fresh citrus flavor. They used to do a salted grapefruit tea and we wish they would bring it back. The first time I ever came here, I got a peach oolong tea...I had started writing a draft for this, and I wrote to avoid it because it had a very light peach flavor...for what it's worth. Their service has been consistently friendly. At the times I came to pick up the gallons, they had staff members offer to help me bring them to my car. You can order at their kiosk or in-person. Their shop is always very clean and there is plenty of seating and outlets. Parking is small here and often crowded, but you will be able to find a spot in the middle of the parking lot. I would recommend The Alley!

There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. And, I can rarely say that about restaurants I patronize because I love supporting local small businesses. Best of luck to these guys.

I just wanted a quick snack so got these "medium" spice potstickers to go with sweet and sour…read moredipping sauce. It worried me a little when I asked if they were pork and the response was - yeah, I think so. It's ok, I'm gonna eat them anyways. They smelled so good in my car but I knew my delicate mouth can't handle it super hot and fresh. I know some people have a teflon tongue but not me. So I waited a little for them to cool down. It was 5 big pieces. By the end of the snack - I was full and my mouth was a bit on fire. If you are sensitive to spicy food, I would definitely go mild instead of medium. My nose was running a little bit. But the fried crispiness of these potstickers was really good and the inside was filled completely a great filling snack under $10. Much more food than the snack I intended. This is my first time here but I think this place has been around a LONG time. Someone once told me it was a good place to meet up with folks to study. Or do computer work. I can see why. There is a huge couch right when you walk in. A small little library. And a couple of bookshelves with books and games. Plenty of tables as well. One small TV on the wall was playing a Jackie Chan movie. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their Teyes and more snacks.

Their chocolate chai doesn't taste much like chai but I like it, reminds me of cinnamon toast Crunch milk. Their fried tofu is also SO good.
