    Black Milk Tea

Busy place over 50 ppl inside so be prepared to wait. Tried the black milk tea, mild tea flavor only. Decent price and cool Legos around. Lots of seating and parking

Thank you Austin for your great delivery and service for such short notice! We needed a Boba order for our team meeting. We called in and did it a very fast delivery to our office.! Last week

My daughter and I are going on a boba adventure to try every tea store to see which ones are good. Hyper Tea definitely is good. It's hidden in a small area and it doesn't have the business name in big letters on its building either so literally hidden. The store is clean and super cute because they have toys as decorations. The person who took our order is this cute professional child. She's such a good sales person, she knows how to answer your questions too. We ordered a couple of snacks and drinks. The popcorn chicken is crunchy, tender and flavorful. The fries is good, I like the chili flavor. The takoyaki is really good, flavorful and has a nice proportion of octopus. The drinks were 100% sweetness. The thai tea is ok. The blended sunset is mango and strawberry, the drink was really delicious. They made the milk tea perfectly and the bobas tasted fresh. We really like the milk tea from here, the other spots we went to weren't as good and tasted strongly of tea or strange. Definitely will come back here again if it wasn't so far from us.

What you see is what you get with this reliable not-so-hyper Elk Grove spot for boba milk tea plus fixings. The beverages aren't the most inventive or inviting, but it'll satisfy either your sweet tooth or need to complete an online assignment via WiFi if necessary. I rounded up my 3.5/5 rating. I do appreciate the teen spirit infused into the Jenga blocks. Seeing all the names, social media shout outs and inappropriate comments written in marker bring simpler times to mind.

First time here and loved the decor. They got a giant boba drink statue, lego displays, and board games. They give drink stamp cards as well! I will be back to try more flavors.

Fast friendly service, boba was cooked fine but tasted bland. 30% sweet mango green tea was still pretty sweet, but was refreshing. The prices are very reasonable though and lots of tables which make this a good area for studying or meeting other people. I'd say this is similar to the level of PresoTea but with a better seating area.

We had 2 times from their milk tea. It's okay, and we can customize the drink we like with no ice and sugar. The drink didn't surprise us, but it was still ok.

I loved their thai tea! The thai tea flavor is really present and the milk they use doesn't make the drink thick. The fries were yummy. Didn't take long to come out and was really fresh. They give you a good amount too. I really liked the music they played. It was giving 2016 radio pop! I think they're a small family/friend business so you know you gotta support.

We saw this place near the restaurant we wanted to try and because boba we had to stop by. The place was very spacious with a few activities/games to entertain and keep busy while waiting or to hang out while enjoying the drinks. I don't recall if there was a food menu item so maybe or maybe not but they are next to other places that do have food just in case. Tried a different type of drink with jelly a strawberry mango freeze. My mini had it and told me it was delicious and actually finished it. We all had fun hanging out playing the games that where there and enjoyed or visit/stay. Parking is available and I believe they have bathrooms for their guests The drinks didn't take long even when they had orders already ahead of us and mobile orders.

I haven't come to this side of Elk Grove in awhile and it used to be cool tea bar. I originally came because I thought it was cool tea bar but it was Hyper Tea. I was sad to see cool tea bar was no longer here but still decided to check it out. Instantly had a feeling I was going to like it because there was a kid taking my order lol. For some reason, if kids take your order it's like the place is going to be good. We had ordered spicy popcorn chicken which was so moist. Usually most places is dry. We also got spicy fries which is just like any other fries. My boyfriend got takoyaki which he said was good. I also got a mango green tea and my boyfriend got a Thai milk tea. Mine tasted fine, a little too much boba for my preference. My boyfriend said his drink was a little bitter but not too much. Overall, I do look forward to coming back since they have popcorn chicken and most boba places don't have that anymore. They also offer stamp cards which is cool. The decor had a lot of Lego sets which was cool to look at. They had games you can plan. Also played kpop music! Definitely check it out! (Same review by me on Google)

Hyper Tea has been open for a little while so I'm surprised there aren't many reviews yet! I admit I was really bummed when I found out the previous boba shop here closed down but I'm always down to try a new place. The logo and cups are very cute here. The setup inside has pretty much stayed the same. Even the menu seems a little similar with the addition of some different drinks and a small snack menu. We chose the peach milk tea and the mango milk tea with boba. It took a little while to get the drinks but there were a couple bigger orders ahead of ours so that seemed reasonable. The actual milk teas were delicious but definitely on the sweeter side. But the boba did not taste to my liking, just was not soft/fresh enough. Service was not memorable but not rude either. They did have kids just sitting and playing behind the counter, which I totally understand working with kids, but just seemed kinda funny because they have so much seating and open space here that they could've had the kids sitting out there instead. Overall average experience, it's on the complete opposite side of town for me so I wouldn't drive all the way over, but if I was in the area I wouldn't mind stopping by again to give it another shot.

    Fizzy apple Taro milk tea

Hello Everyone The tea is perfectly balanced, the milk is creamy, and the boba pearls are delightfully chewy and sweet, making every sip a satisfying adventure. I highly recommend it!

Always a HUGE plus. cute, clean and asthetic decor inside - such warm and calm vibes there's a kiosk to order your drinks. From my experience, although I ordered from a kiosk... the workers still took the time to chat with me and my husband as we walked in, while we waited, and after they were finished with our drinks. Staff is friendly here even while they are busy perfecting our drinks drinks aren't too sweet which i love! I've tried their strawberry matcha and its one of the best I've had. Not too sweet and not too bitter! I also tried their jazzy limeade! Its a unique and refreshing tea perfect for the summer. If you get this drink.. be aware it may seem bitter to people because of its unique flavoring profiles. Get it 75% sweetness and once your ice melts a bit .. the drink is super tasty, unique and refreshing!! they also serve sweet taiyako with unique filling flavors! Idk how they do it but it always comes out super crispy. I've tried these at other dessert spots and always get really soggy or soft taiyakis so I was so shocked how crispy and fresh these were. They do make it on the spot in front of you so maybe that's why?! Or their batter is just high quality. Whatever it is.. im not complaining! This has been my new go to boba spots in Elk Grove! I highly recommend if you're looking for a place to hangout/catch up with friends, get some work done, or just need a yummy treat.

The Taiyaki was a standout: crispy on the outside while staying warm, soft, and chewy on the inside. It had that perfect balance of texture that makes it really satisfying. The Dubai Chocolate Chewy Cookie was super indulgent. It had this rich cocoa-marshmallow exterior with a generous filling that made every bite feel decadent without being overwhelming. As for drinks, their new JPC (Jasmine Tea Pistachio Foam Coconut Water, organic) was incredibly smooth and refreshing. The jasmine tea flavor paired beautifully with the creamy pistachio foam, and the pink coconut water kept it light and hydrating. Overall, everything felt thoughtfully made and well-balanced--great flavors, not overly sweet, and really enjoyable. I'd definitely come back to try more.

Tbh, I was a little nervous since there haven't been many recent menu photos or reviews. We took everything to-go, but it was piping hot out of the kitchen and only took about 10 minutes from ordering at the counter to leaving with the goods in-hand. There is plenty of space to dine-in as well. Their menu is huge - almost overwhelming - but they have a little bit of everything. I stopped in specifically for BBQ Pork steamed rice rolls, which can be tough to find at most places outside of a dim sum menu. The price was reasonable (I think $6.75) and it was a great portion. Very flavorful, tender, and a delicious sauce! We also got an order of steamed BBQ pork buns (3 total). Surprisingly, I don't think it was the same meat from the rice rolls but that's OK because it was almost shredded consistency with a good flavor. The bun is a bao-style bun, so less fluffy than my preferred steam bun type but perfectly steamed nonetheless. We ended with an order of sesame balls (3 piece). I was surprised at how much oil was in the to-go container, and a little disappointed that there wasn't more of the sesame coating, but they were so FRESH! I assumed the inside would be red bean but instead it was jelly cubes that reminded me of square boba jellies. Possibly pineapple flavored? It was not my thing but also my fault for not confirming it what was inside. Will definitely be coming back for rice rolls!

My other drink was a white peach tea, also. For both milk teas that I received, I could barely taste any tea. Those teas we are also very lightly sweetened when I requested for less sugar. I think that full sweetness actually would be enough sweetness for me since I usually get one level last week anyway. For the third drink, I ordered a enemies coffee, At my second visit, I tried signature fruit tea and the hojicha winter melon tea with pudding. The signature fruit tea was 100% sweetness and was not really sweet. I had also asked for the size. For the winter melon milk tea, I opted for the regular dairy option, which made the drink creamier than the first drinks. I had full sweetness for the string, which was pretty sweet considering that there are winter melon pieces in there, which would be a burst of sweetness. Overall the shop is very clean, plenty of seating. Service was pretty friendly! Overall, this is a solid boba shop for this side of Elk Grove!

Good selection of milk teas, fruit teas and some desserts made with fresh quality ingredients! I've tried their creme brulee brown sugar drink, snow grapefruit with tea and their peach oolong tea and I love how you can really taste the tea. I usually adjust the sugar level for the fruit tea drinks at 50%. For the brown sugar drinks, the sweetness can't be adjusted. I've tried their matcha brown sugar with boba in Hawai'i and loved it! So I will definitely get that the next time I'm in the area. You can order at the kiosk, or a human can take your order. Unfortunately, we realized on the day of our wedding that they do not do gallon orders for the fruit teas. They only do gallon orders for their milk teas. This was disappointing, because we had purchased fruit teas from them at least two other times in the past year without any issue. I can only imagine why they discontinued catering for their fruit teas. We ended up having to go to a competitor. If you want to order their gallons, you would need to call them at least a half hour in advance to make your order. There was no way of filling out a form or notifying them days/weeks in advance for the gallons. The gallons are boxed up in a bag, inside of a cardboard box. There is a sturdy handle and a spout you just have to break the seal to use. They also offer their large cups and straws for catering, if desired. We ended up ordering their jasmine milk tea at 50% sweet for gallon catering, which is the perfect amount of sweetness for catering, and this is also our go-to milk tea order. They make their fruit teas pretty well here. We love ordering their lemon grapefruit tea. It's so refreshing and full of fresh citrus flavor. They used to do a salted grapefruit tea and we wish they would bring it back. The first time I ever came here, I got a peach oolong tea...I had started writing a draft for this, and I wrote to avoid it because it had a very light peach flavor...for what it's worth. Their service has been consistently friendly. At the times I came to pick up the gallons, they had staff members offer to help me bring them to my car. You can order at their kiosk or in-person. Their shop is always very clean and there is plenty of seating and outlets. Parking is small here and often crowded, but you will be able to find a spot in the middle of the parking lot. I would recommend The Alley!

The menu had a bit too much going on and in my opinion -- restaurants should have a speciality rather than offer so many items because taste and quality loses itself somewhere in the middle of 100 different menu options. I know my partner and I are pho snobs but what we had wasn't even pho. The broth was basically hot water with a tad of salt or chicken bouillon. There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. And, I can rarely say that about restaurants I patronize because I love supporting local small businesses. Best of luck to these guys.

The fruit drinks are really good. Cons are the app is not useful in Elk Grove location and I haven't gotten any rewards even though I put in my phone number like other boba places. I like their happy hour if I stumbled upon it. Edit: Their customer support is great. Pending on point system... Will update once I go again

This was my first time trying YiFang Taiwan and I was craving a refreshing mango pomelo sago drink after eating a savory meal but the mango pomelo sago was unfortunately sold out so I went with the mango sago and added jelly instead. They made my order wrong, but remade it for me and let me keep the first drink so I appreciated that very much. Their customer service is good and they were quick to resolve the issue. However, I did not really enjoy my drink. When they gave me the first drink with only jelly and no sago, my first impression was surprise at the large quantity of jelly topping in the drink. The toppings made up like 35-40% of the drink. I had the thought to ask them to use less toppings when remaking the drink but I assumed that if they were going to remake it and add two toppings, that it would be the same amount but divided into two. I regretted not asking though because in the corrected drink, they gave me so much topping that it made up half of the drink. They also did not drain the sago and it was not mixed in with the mango drink so it was very off putting and tasted strange compared to the first drink. Even when I tried mixing it all together, there was hardly any drink and all that was coming through the straw were the toppings. I gave up on the drink and ended up just drinking the first drink they made me. I think the topping portions is kind of crazy and I have never really experienced that before. I would much rather have more drink than toppings. I wish I knew about this beforehand or I wouldn't have added an extra topping. I would be open to trying this place again but only ordering their original drinks as is and/or requesting less toppings. I don't want to make quick judgements from this one drink because I have heard good things about YiFang drinks and they had great customer service. I am hopping that my next experience will be better!

I bought the popcorn chicken because if you spend less than ten dollars, you will have to pay a fee. So I ended up buying popcorn chicken to not pay that fee. Don't get me wrong the popcorn chicken tasted great. It was just too much for my plan of eating my meals for the day. I couldnt fit it really into my plan for the day. I ate a few bites and saved it for left overs for maybe closer to dinner. I kept telling myself that I shouldve just paid the fee instead of holding onto this for later. The Milk Tea with Large Boba - was extremely sweet. I regret to have informed the woman at the register to make it zero sweetner. The additional toppings like the lychee jelly and Boba already added to the sweetness. Next time Ill go back and now know ahead of time how to order my drinks. Im pretty sensitive to sugar. So ill keep that in mind the next time I go in here to order.

As of January of 2026, their price for a small milk tea is $4.75, and their boba add-on is 50 cents more. I upgraded my beverage to a Large, which was $1.50 more. It's a decent size, as their Large size is bigger than your typical boba tea places. I also got a Chocolate Milk Tea, which is an option that isn't available at too many chain locations. I also got their popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, it's not as good as other chain locations, when you compare to UME Tea or Purple Kow. Their popcorn chicken comes with no spice, mild, medium or hot. Even though I got mild, it was hotter than your typical mild flavored popcorn chicken at other boba tea restaurants. As for their interior, it's very spacious there with plenty of seating available, including a large sofa. They also have board & table games that you can play too. I really liked their Chocolate Milk Tea, and I can see myself ordering this again or trying out their other beverages. As for the popcorn chicken, I will pass on this next time, but would be interested in trying out their other food items on their menu.
