My friend and I stopped by Tea Again and both ordered strawberry matchas since that's usually our go-to drink and something we're always excited to try at new places. Unfortunately, this one just didn't quite hit the mark for either of us. The matcha flavor was very mild and almost tasted watered down. We both found ourselves wishing for more of that earthy matcha flavor to come through. The strawberry portion also wasn't what we were expecting. I tend to prefer drinks made with fresh or macerated strawberries, and this tasted more like a strawberry jam or puree. If that's your thing, you may enjoy it, but for me it just wasn't my jam. Literally. My friend and I also shared a chicken sandwich. It was okay, but nothing really stood out about it. I found myself wondering what type of chicken was used because the texture wasn't what I expected. It almost reminded me of either canned chicken or shredded rotisserie chicken, but I wasn't entirely sure. The café itself was pleasant enough, and there wasn't anything specifically wrong with the experience. We just both walked away feeling a little underwhelmed overall. Helpful tip: If you're a big matcha fan and prefer a stronger matcha flavor, you may want to ask if they can make it with an extra scoop. I've been to Tea Again twice and each time has been pleasant. Pros" lots of parking!!! From my experience, although I ordered from a kiosk... the workers still took the time to chat with me and my husband as we walked in, while we waited, and after they were finished with our drinks. Staff is friendly here even while they are busy perfecting our drinks drinks aren't too sweet which i love! I've tried their strawberry matcha and its one of the best I've had. Not too sweet and not too bitter! I also tried their jazzy limeade! Its a unique and refreshing tea perfect for the summer. If you get this drink.. be aware it may seem bitter to people because of its unique flavoring profiles. Get it 75% sweetness and once your ice melts a bit .. the drink is super tasty, unique and refreshing!! they also serve sweet taiyako with unique filling flavors! Idk how they do it but it always comes out super crispy. I've tried these at other dessert spots and always get really soggy or soft taiyakis so I was so shocked how crispy and fresh these were. I saw this place out of the corner of my eyes as I was looking for parking for Trader Joes in the same shopping center so I stopped by afterwards. Had the Lychee Bloom. It was just ok, not very unique or strong tasting. Probably about what you would get if you bought a can/small glass beverage from an Asian supermarket. And for $6.50 for just plain mid level fruit tea? Meh. Would I drop by again to try something different if I happen to be in the same shopping plaza? Yes. I popped in after shopping in the area, once again desperate for a cold drink (and my milk tea craving). First, Tea Again wins for best ambiance! It's seating area is adorable with little nooks and cute chairs, and exceptionally Instagram worthy. I ordered an earl grey milk tea with extra boba. The tea was very balanced and I could taste the floral notes, and the boba was perfect. However, I did pay for extra boba and the amount given was minimal. Was excited to see a drink with kinako, the Kinako Matcha Latte, since I haven't had a kinako latte since I was in Japan. (Kinako is a roasted soybean powder.) We've gotten their drinks at least three times to give it a fair shot, and sad to say I probably would not go back. Overall, service is very friendly, the shop is lovely, logo is irresistibly cute, there is a variety of drinks, and the drinks have a nice presentation. Unfortunately, the drinks are not would I would prefer to drink. They are either too watered down in flavor or way too sweet despite adjustments. This most recent time, we got the jasmine milk tea with kinako cream and boba, as well as morning dew (cucumber, lychee, honeydew). Both drinks, we got one level less sweet and less ice. The jasmine milk tea was watered down with the tea taste, and the kinako cream essentially mixed in with the milk tea because it was so thin. The kinako taste was barely there. As for the morning dew, the cucumber taste was overpowering. It was almost as if they used cucumber concentrate or a syrup that it was so strong. I could not really taste the other two fruits in there. I couldn't bring myself to finish it, so I gave it to my husband. Upon arriving, to my shock, it was replaced by a new boba spot, Tea Again. Inside was bright, spacious, and cute cats and small plant decorations. There are plenty of seats and two big mirrors for those selfies ;) I was greeted and placed my order to the cashier. You can always order from the kiosk. Once you place your order, you can enter in your phone number and your name will appear on the display screen (see photo). My recommendation for that would be a bigger screen and maybe not too high lol font could be bigger! But you do get a text alert as well. My drinks came out fairly quick, and two people were working that day. First time ordering and got a complimentary matcha sample from the owner cause matcha can be a hit or miss for me. Tea Again is the first place near Sac to offer Kinako (that I'm aware of) so I've been dying to try them out. Let me preface by saying: I like my matcha sweeter than my milk tea!! The real, high-quality, ceremonial matcha is too strong for me so I tend to get them sweeter. The 25% sweetness had me going, "Oh, this is for the REAAAL matcha enjoyers" because I felt like it tasted of dirt and grass LOL Wanted to come back and try their 50% sweetness to see if I'd enjoy it more, but this time I tasted mostly cream :( Not enough grass this time! Love this convenient location near lots of stores!! They took over the old Happy Lemon location but revamped inside and made it much cozier. They really maximized the space with a lot more seating too! They have all your usual classic boba drinks here but also some unique combos like lychee peach, and my new favorite the Jazzy Limeade! I had a fair experience considering that it's the public soft opening period. Sweetness adjusting could use some tweaking. Ordered the classic milk tea and lychee bloom both at 50% sweetness. The classic milk tea tasted like it was at 25% sweetness and the lychee bloom tasted like it was at full sweetness. Otherwise, nice soothing tea taste and refreshing fruit taste, respectively. As for drink additions, the tapioca pearls had a great brown sugar taste to them with a satisfying chewy bite but were quite large, so much that some of them couldn't fit through the boba straw easily. Creme brulee topping had a subtle milky taste with bits of crystallized sugar crunch. I also ordered the paw taiyaki and it's best to eat them on-the-spot; after driving 15 min home the taiyaki ended up being soggy inside the takeout paper bag. The tapioca pearl one is one to eat just for funsies; not much of a coherent taste between the pearls and the waffle batter but ultimate chewiness. The Dubai chocolate one is a big letdown as there were only slivers of kataifi and a paper thin layer of pistachio cream. Bright interior with lounge-like seating. I'm hoping there is more presence of the cute cat logo in this space in the future! Ample nearby plaza parking (on the opposite corner of Trader Joe's and near America's Tires). read more

If you're looking for strong, flavorful tea, this might not be the spot. I've tried most of their drinks, but honestly, none of them really impressed me. The teas feel pretty weak--like they're super diluted--and they try to make up for it by loading on creamer and syrup. I wouldn't go out of my way to order their drinks, and I probably wouldn't recommend them to others. That said, the decor is beautiful here and definitely makes me want to chill inside. Their staff are super nice, too. There's usually one Asian guy (might be the boss?) who always greets you and thanks you for being patient. Honestly, the drinks don't take long to make, but the cat paw taiyakis do take a few minutes longer, so maybe that's what he means. Speaking of taiyaki--their cat paw ones are amazing! My favorite so far is the Dubai chocolate flavor. I still need to try the tapioca boba and taro fillings, but the Dubai chocolate stands out--so good and unique. Honestly, I think it's even better than SomiSomi's. The red bean filling is my second favorite; it's not the typical super sweet red bean paste, which I really appreciate. I was right next door at GameStop on July 24 making a purchase and ask the individual helping me if they had been to the tea shop right next door. He told me that he had been there quite a few times since it open as he really enjoyed their tease and snacks. He highly recommended that I check out the place. So I went in and as I got to the counter I was greeted by a lovely person behind the counter. She gave me a big hello with a big smile and asked if I had any questions regarding the menu. I told her that yes this was my first time here and asked if she could tell me a little bit about the menu and some of the favorites that she liked. She pointed out the cold foam drinks were a big hit. I looked over the menu and saw one that had coconut and I will all for that one. I then told her that I wanted to get something with matcha and she recommended the kinako drink. As I waited for my two drinks I checked out the space and it was quite adorable. The cat curtain behind the counter was really cute, the cat mascot on the cups was adorable, and there are all these little fixtures and figurines throughout the shop that made it quite inviting. The space itself was very clean, right, and a good mix of people were coming in that were excited and having fun conversations and a few that work a little further in the back having softer conversations. Got the classic milk tea w/ kinako cream top and a strawberry slushie. The milk tea was okay and the kinako cream top didn't have as strong of a kinako flavor as I would've expected or preferred. Overall the drink was on the creamier side. The strawberry slushie was much too sweet for me. It came with half of an actual strawberry which was a nice aesthetic touch. If they provided a sweetness adjustment option that'd be awesome. Overall Tea Again has a really nice space for hanging out and even studying. You can order on snack pass which is pretty convenient. A new boba and tea placed just opened up where Happy Lemon was in the Trader Joe's shopping plaza next to game stop. I'm excited for a new place and so close to me. I've only been in a couple of times and ordered the same drink because it was that good. First off, let me just say the interior decor is so cute and welcoming. There's nice open seating and seating along the wall with partition for some privacy. I read the owners used to own a cat cafe and a bit of kitty decor is sprinkled in their logo and also their snacks. The drink I've been ordering lately is their Elk Grove Sunset. It is a passion fruit, orange and guava tea. I get it without added sugar and lychee jelly. There's still some sweetness even with the 0% and it's not bland or without flavor. I can definitely taste a little bit of everything in the EG Sunset. It is so refreshing to drink on hot summer days and has been my go to as of late. Will have to come back to try their snacks and also other drinks. They have 2 kiosks for ordering and if you have only cash, they have that option too but you'll need to tell them. The Jasmine milk tea itself was really good--it had a smooth, rich flavor even without sugar and ice, which is exactly how I like it. I had aloe vera as a topping. I also tried their bear paw cake with boba and taro, which did not disappoint. Both flavors are good. They used the real taro for the paste. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review, I really appreciate the follow-up and the offer to make things right. I understand that chamoy and tajín are bold ingredients and part of the traditional mangonada flavor profile. However, I've had my fair share of mangonadas from carts to storefronts over the years, and I've never encountered one that tasted quite like this. The sour, vinegar-like flavor was unusually strong and didn't match what I've come to expect, it really tasted like buffalo sauce. I'm glad to hear you tested the drinks again and found them tasting fine on your end. It's possible it was just a one-off experience but it definitely had nothing to do with my tasting profile as I knew what it should taste and straight spicy vinegar is definitely not a highlighted flavor of chamoy or tajin, and especially because the mango flavor was missing it really just tasted like buffalo sauce with sweet ice. Very cute set up. Couches booths chairs and coffee tables are aesthetically pleasing and inviting. The service is a kiosk. You order there and workers behind the counter make your order. I went in the evening and wanted some simple hot tea. After browsing the kiosk and finding nothing I asked the person behind the desk what was the hot tea options. They said they don't have hot tea at Tea Again. I am not the target audience. They have elaborate cold teas, foams, sauces, add ins and cold coffee. I found this place through yelp by searching "tea" and chose the nearest place. I was not ready for the options. I ordered a iced green tea. It was very sweet. The teen with me got a cold drink too. He said it was too sweet. So once again ill stay away because we are not the target audience. read more

I like their lobby , plenty of seating. They have a great selection of drinks too. Easy parking which is always a plus. We got a milk tea classic and the morning dew drink. I really enjoyed the morning dew! Came with I think honeydew, lychee, cucumber. Super refreshing! read more

Went on here desperately needed a boba drink. The workers were attentive and worked pretty fast. I got one of their lychee drinks. A tea with lychee jelly. Sorry forgot what it's called. I also purchased two Taiyaki Nutella and Dubai Chocolate. So good. It's a very cute place. I'm so happy. read more
