basil popcorn chicken packed to go

So I don't usually come here but have had two meetings here in the past week so I figured, why not give them another try. I feel like the layout has changed since I last reviewed this place. They took out a lot of the seating, which gives the place a more roomier look. They do have the flexible seating with booth, hightop tables, and child seating still. There's lots of different lighting and kpop music playing with music video on a tv. They have a claw machine and some Gotcha machines available. Drinks are decent and the variety of food is your typical T4 spot. I'm always a fan of their Basil Popcorn Chicken, so it's a must every time I'm at a T4. My preferred drink here is usually Mango Green tea with boba or Mango slush with boba depending on my mood. This location can get pretty "unsafe" at night, so I'd say yay for daytime visits but nay for nighttime visits. This was not my first time here and won't be my last.

This location has a lot of drinks and food items on their menu. There was only one employee handling everything on a busy Saturday afternoon. She was friendly and greeted us to inform us she will help us shortly because she was busy preparing drinks that were ordered before us. We patiently waited and I ordered a simple roasted oolong milk tea. The drink had the perfect amount of ice and sweetness (30% ice and 50% sweet). I did not taste much of the roasted oolong though because the milk overpowered it. The inside of the cafe had a good amount of seats and tables available. The chairs in the middle were small and cute, reminding me of kindergarten.

    Wrong drink

First time visiting this T4 location. We ordered kumquat tea and watermelon milk tea. Unfortunately, the milk tea we received appeared to be regular milk tea rather than wintermelon milk tea. When we asked the girl member about it, she insisted it was correct, but the color and taste suggested otherwise. We also found a tag inside our sealed kumquat drink, which was concerning. On top of that, the overall service experience wasn't very welcoming. That said, the kumquat tea itself tasted good. I hope the store can improve staff training and attention to detail, as customer experience is heavily influenced by service quality.

Was lured back with a special offer because they missed taking my money... so decided to stop by and get ANY 2 Milk Teas for $3 each. No fine print about sizes or additional charge for extras. Ordered large Oolong with French pudding and Large Vietnamese coffee with French pudding. They tell me the total and I ask about my offer and they told me Vietnamese coffee doesn't qualify but I pointed to the menu that had it listed under milk tea... oh they rolled their eyes and said it's listed wrong. Ok whatever... so I get an Okinawa large with pudding. I get charged for the upsize and pudding so even though the offer says ANY 2 milk teas and no fine print about sizes and toppings, it's only for the regular size with no extras. Annoyed but sure whatever. What really got me was when I got home and tried the flavor...tasted off, kind of light than I remembered. Got to the bottom and noticed that both the drink had nasty looking crusty white pudding. Pudding is supposed to be yellow so either they forgot to remove the top or it was old pudding. It looked gross. Good reason why they are trying to lure people back to this location. Area is already ghetto but the quality has really gone down hill and customer service sucks. Probably better to go to the Florin Road location in Greenhaven.

Stopped by here one night because we really wanted our favorite T4 drink - mango ice cream in green tea. When it came out it didn't look like the right drink, and it looked like vanilla ice cream so I asked her if it was mango and she said yes and seemed so sure. We figured okay maybe it just looks different here. Then we tried it and it was not green tea or mango ice cream at all! It was super disappointing since we came here strictly for that drink, and they didn't care to reconcile the issue either. Edit- received a message stating that it's probably because I'm probably only familiar with Asian mango ice cream flavor and they use Gunther's. Pretty offensive, also followed by a free drink offer. You can't possibly think that's mango ice cream looking at my photo. Won't be coming to support even if it's a free drink. So disappointing!

Ordered the basil chicken popcorn and the sweet potatoes fries. Entering the store the environment was Zen . The cleanliness was not up to par. The employees seemed to business needing to eat while on shift. I felt like the food was great for the experience it will get me to return , what won't will be the stores cleanliness. Overall three out of five.

Bad customer service and quality sucks. The staff clearly didn't want to be there -- every question we asked was met with eye-rolling and attitude, like we were bothering them. We ordered two drinks, and one of the smoothies was literally 90% ice. When we politely asked about it, the worker's "solution" was to just add more flavor syrup to "cover the ice taste." Seriously? It looked really yucky, you can see on photo after they "added the flavor". The attitude was the worst part, zero care, zero professionalism. There's no excuse for treating paying customers like that. Never coming back.

Ordering was quick and easy but the drinks were so so. The boba was a bit too soft and chewy and didn't have much flavor for my taste. I will however say that they sell macaron ice cream sandwiches and they're so tasty!!

We came here bc we were in south sac picking up dinner from Lollibowl and decided to stop by here for boba and some snacks. It's nice that that they have temperature scanner to check you temp. We ordered a Okinawa MT with mini boba and a rose MT with large boba. Luckily the person repeated our order if not my drink would have came out too sweet bc I normally modify the sweetness level. Maybe tone down the music a little since it's hard to understand when the music is so loud and trying to listen to the staff person repeat my order. My drink was good bc I was able to catch the sweetness level. My husband said it's just good but not as good as compared to the T4 in Elk Grove. He adjusted his sweetness level but it was still too sweet he said. For snacks we got fries, basil popcorn chicken and egg rolls. Overall the snacks were okay and compare to the T4 in Elk Grove it was lacking in flavor, especially the basil popcorn chicken. It looks like the basil was fried after and just tossed in with the popcorn chicken.

T4 is always gonna be a dependable option for boba. It has a lot of choices when it comes to drinks & food. Nothing is really eye catching, but I feel like everyone could find something they like here. I do feel like the workers could have been a tad friendlier and helpful to our group. Drinks were made timely & tasted fine. It's also nicely decorated here.

    Ice in a cup

I always forget to tell them light ice because if you don't let them know they will sell you ice in a cup. Just let them know light ice next time you go there. $7.25 for this ice .

Be warned, their Vietnamese coffee is very strong. I don't mind it though, and it's quite smooth. Most recently I had their ube cream coffee and that was delightful. There was plenty of ube cream, and once that was mixed in with the rest of the coffee, man was that delicious. I've taken my husband and a good friend of mine to Tram in the past and both of them enjoyed the drinks they chose as well. I have yet to try their matcha but my friend said it was great. If you're not keen on getting a Vietnamese coffee, their fruit teas are also nice and refreshing. I've had the Running Dragon in the past and that was really good. Even when they're busy, the staff have been able to get drinks out in a timely manner (at least that's my experience when I've gone). There also ample space to sit and enjoy your drinks, or hang out with friends. They even serve food here, but I have yet to try that too. Tram Cream Coffee is definitely in my rotation of favorite spots for an afternoon pick-me-up in the South Sac area, and I shall return.

I've tried their other drinks but I don't have pictures for them so I'll just review what I got recently. Purple Crush - 8.4/10 I honestly really like this drink since it tastes like taro/ube and it has Oreos in it which gives a nice chocolate-ly flavor to it. I also added boba in it which definitely gave a nice texture to the drink as well. It's pretty thick like a slushie/milkshake but regardless I highly recommend this drink if you're into taro and cookies and cream!! Although this drink is quite sweet even when you get it less than 100% sweet. Black Sesame Coffee - 7.5/10 I just tried this drink today and it's pretty yummy but all of the black sesame seeds sink in the bottom so I had to stir it every time before drinking it. I got 50% sweet with less ice and it just tastes like regular Vietnamese coffee with a hint of black sesame and it's honestly not that bad. Although I'm not sure if I will get this drink again though. It wasn't too sweet and I like that you can really taste the coffee. Popcorn Chicken - 7.8/10 I always get their popcorn chicken since that's what I mainly like to get from boba shops and I like that they have different spice levels like from no spicy to extra hot. I would either get mild or medium but I've recently got medium and I like that it has a kick in it. The ranch pairs well with the chicken and although it's not super crispy, it has a good amount of batter to chicken ratio. Overall, I recommend that you order ahead of time and I used DoorDash to order my stuff from the second pic since I usually wait like 30 minutes to get my drinks and food which was kind of annoying. Even when there's little to no customers, their service is usually pretty slow which I hope that they can improve on that. Also, there's a kiosk where you can order on the screen. I feel like their customer service does need some improvement though since they don't really interact with the customers unless you talk to them. However, the place looks really clean and aesthetic so it's a great spot to just chill while sipping on some boba.

While I was in Sacramento, I happened to spot a BAMBU in the plaza and was genuinely excited to grab some drinks. The shop itself is fairly small, with limited indoor seating--about five tables in total. Unfortunately, the dining area wasn't very clean. Tables weren't being wiped down after customers left, so new groups would simply sit at dirty tables without anyone cleaning them in between. The menu is displayed overhead. You order and pay at the counter before waiting for your drinks. Our group of five ordered five drinks, and while the selection was great, the prices were on the higher side. When our order was ready, it was disappointing that we had to ask for basic items like a bag for the drinks and spoons. These weren't available for self-service, so we had to request them. The elderly gentleman helping us seemed visibly annoyed by the request, which left a poor impression. It's the small details and customer interactions that can really shape the overall experience. As much as I love BAMBU as a brand, this particular location fell short. Between the unfriendly service, lack of attention to cleanliness, and higher prices, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit the Sacramento location again.
