I've been here a few times and the food is hit or miss. Last time I ordered an eggplant dish, wide noodles with chicken and fried shrimp. The shrimp was good but really greasy, the eggplant had some flavor to it and came with broccoli, but the wide noodles were a strange brown color on top and flavorless. I've gotten fried rice from here a few times which is sometimes good, sometimes too dry and the sweet and sour chicken (sometimes saucy, sometimes overcooked). But there are also cream cheese puffs that have been consistently delicious (although greasy but cream cheesy). The service is good all the time, fast and friendly. read more

Many people came in behind my husband and I and because this lady was taking so much time another girl came over and said who's next I said, my husband is next, and the first lady that was taking very bad care of us said no I'm. The past 3 times we've gotten take out food from here (I go pick it up) there are pieces missing from my order. Even worse is that the prices have really gone up.....STEEPLY! Placed an online order at 8:00pm. Called at 8:50pm to find out the status of my order, as they close at 9pm. Was told that they no longer take delivery orders after 8pm. No call, no email, nothing to indicate that my order couldn't be completed until I called them to find out where my food was. Would have been willing to pickup order if they had called. Second issue I've had with them. First time they only delivered half the food and had to bring me a refund to my work the next day because the drivers had left. One star ONLY because there is not a 1/4 star available. I had a long day at work and just wanted to order a nice delivered meal. We received our order of Wontons, Barbecue Pork, Orange Chicken and General Tso's Chicken. The Wontons, while acceptably cold for delivery tasted like NOTHING. The Barbecue Pork was not only lacking barbecue, they were as cold as if you took them out of the fridge. NO attempt to warm up the item. If they had attempted to warm them up they would have been at least as warm as the Wontons. Seriously....COLD AS ICE. Lastly, the "Orange Chicken" and the "General Tso's Chicken" tasted EXACTLY the same and they used REHEATED fried chicken I think they purchased bulk pre-breaded and fried. Delicious and delivery was extremely fast! I got the house chowmein, which includes chicken, beef and shrimp. It was loaded with meat, all perfectly cooked and tender! An institution is dead. After this being my favorite restaurant for 24 years and, my kids' and my gkids' favorite restaurant, they have now sunk so low that I won't go back. The quality of the food was great and reliable until the restaurant sold a couple of years ago. The changes were slight at first, but are now past recommendation. They even served us frozen eggrolls today. Shameful! The waiter said the management said making them by hand was a waste of time. Okay. That is your call. Just completely terrible all around. I dry heave every time I think of this poor choice after a few drinks for this delivery. The Vietnamese roll came with its very own ten-inch hair fried right inside. You would think they would warn you about this bonus on the menu! The orange chicken was a doughy, soggy mess of balls saturated in some kind of sugary syrup. We had takeout from Happy Panda last night and it was good. No, it's not complex super authentic Asian food awash in the mysterious flavors of the far east....let us be realistic for a minute. That is hard to come by on the way home from a long work day on the west side. It is hot, fresh, not so greasy, kinda healthy Americanized Chinese food. They deliver, put out coupons, and from what I could see last night have a largely non Asian clientele and staff. There is a place for that. It is a step up from Panda Express, maybe even two steps up. We got bbq pork, Shanghai street noodles with tofu, Sesame chicken, Szechuan eggplant, broccoli chicken, and steamed rice.Everything was tasty and fresh. The fortune cookies tasted like coconut. Princess ate most of those. My only complaint is, when I called it in from work they said it'd be ready in 15 minutes. I asked for 20. I was there in 30, and it was still not ready for another 15. I think the young men on the phone should give more accurate estimates...mine of my drive time was off too, obviously, but that was quite a wait. They do have chairs to wait in. We like the food but they seem to frequently have trouble getting our whole order together. One time we didn't get our spring rolls, so they gave us a $2 coupon for a $4 item. We couldn't ever use the coupon because they won't take 2 coupons and we always have the 10% coupon that they regularly run. Last night they left out the vegetarian entree so at dinner time our vegetarian daughter had nothing to eat. We called and they refused to deliver the missing item, so my wife had to go get it and she had cold food when she got back. The family dinner was a complete disaster.
