Thank you for our yummy meal! Today we got a 3 item meal, dumplings, and salt pepper tofu. The food here is always fresh and the quality is good. My family loves the food here. We usually get the combos, but just today i found out they have my favorite salt pepper tofu cooked to order sooooo I ate an entire box of tofu for my meal. Soo good! We also saw fried dumplings today and gave it a try. My kiddo loves SGV dumplings (but doesn't eat much in general) loved it and finished most of the box. I've never had this place before, but I needed catering and found it online. Boy am I glad I did! I ordered catering trays for a work function. Since we have a day shift and night shift at work I placed two orders. They had them ready on time for both pickup times and were helpful in carrying them to the car for me. The food was delicious!!! I ordered party trays from here, and the staff were the sweetest! Terrific customer service. They even called back to confirm my orders and to let me know when they were ready for pick up. I got two medium party trays of honey walnut shrimp (around $51/tray) and they were a hit at the parties I went to. I feel like it's always a little bit of a risk to try a new restaurant for delivery first; depending how long the food waits to be delivered, sometimes the quality is less than if you'd been there when it was first ready. Decided to give Happy Plus a try because of fellow Yelpers' good reviews. As others have said, wow they give very generous portions! We got a Combo C, which comes with three entrees and one (full) or two (half portion) sides, and similarly to Panda Express, one of the entrees gets put in a separate container and you get essentially a B platter plus one entree. But... the platter was filled absolutely to the brim. After doling out a full plate of food once we got home, my partner remarked that what was still left in the platter looked like more than you'd get at Panda in the first place. I mean it's a lot. One C combo easily feeds two adults and maybe three. We also decided to give the egg rolls a try, and they were excellent. Nice and crispy outside. Plenty of filling. The entrees weren't the most flavorful, but I'd still say they're pretty good. The orange chicken isn't heavily breaded so you really get a pleasant orange citrus taste with every bite. Broccoli beef is definitely a winner here. Kung pao chicken is on the spicy side, but quite good. Overall, a tad on the greasy side, but everything went down well. I'd return for the value alone. Cute little establishment which had plenty to offer. I had the Combo B with half Fried Rice and half Chow Mein, one side of Orange Chicken & one side of Beef Broccoli. The sides were so flavorful and the portions made the box overflow. It was all so delicious and an amazing price. I also liked the egg rolls which were super crunchy. I was craving Chinese food but wasn't in the mood to drive out to the 626 area after a long day of work. Luckily, I remembered I had bookmarked this local restaurant and I was very glad I stopped by. I ordered the 3 entree combo plate C with half noodles/half veggie along with orange chicken, barbecue pork, and eggplant tofu. When I asked for the steamed veggies, there was none available so the owner of the store had the cook freshly prepare some for my order. He gave such generous portions of all the entrees that the lid barely closed. All of the entree items were absolutely delicious but my favorite was the eggplant tofu. Parking is available in the plaza but the lot can get pretty busy as they share parking with a liquor store and few other businesses. I've driven by this place numerous times when it was called Super Panda All-You-Can Eat buffet. When COVID hit I thought to myself, "There is no way a buffet place is going to survive the pandemic." About a month ago I noticed the name had changed to "Happy Plus." There are not a lot of Chinese Fast-Food places in the neighborhood. The one a few blocks away has a small selection of offerings and the one time I went I wasn't disappointed with the quality of the food and the lady who ran the place wasn't very friendly, so I was eager to try Happy Plus. I stopped by on my way home from a Dr's appointment. Since I had been fasting all day I was starving (it was 3:30 p.m.) I got out of my car, and I could smell the food from the parking lot. It smelled good. Before you walk in there is a large menu hanging on the wall by the door, so I looked it over before entering. Once inside I noticed how clean everything was. They have tables for seating, but they are closed off for now due to the pandemic. I was greeted immediately by a very friendly man behind the counter. Most of the food items were in warming trays on the counter behind a big plexiglass window. Everything was labeled, looked fresh, and visibly appealing. I decided on a two-item combo. All combos come with a free egg roll. While he was putting together my order to go the phone rang. I told him it was ok if he wanted to answer it. He thanked me, took the call, then came back to finish my order. (He also thanked me for my patience. No worries, you have a business to run and times are tough right now.) He packed up my food (Fried Rice, Beef & Broccoli, and Orange Chicken with jalapeños) and rang it up. I couldn't believe how cheap it was! $6.99 for a lot of food! (The register is behind plexiglass and hand sanitizer is provided. Employees wore masks and gloves.) When I got home the food was still warm. It all tasted really good. The egg roll was crispy outside and the vegetables inside were soft and tender. It was not greasy at all. The jalapeno's in the orange chicken provided just the right amount of spice. The sauce for the Beef & Broccoli was light and not thick and heavy. The broccoli had some firmness to it and was not mushy. Overall, I was happy with the quality and flavor of the food. I'll definitely order from them again. The serving sizes are generous, and the prices are great. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Their 3-item combo is only $8, and they PILE on the food. It might seem like a glorified Panda Express, but it is NOT. They also have salt 'n pepper fish, which is fantastic, and the sweet 'n sour fish. Their mushroom chicken is bomb, and their curry is great. The only thing I wasn't super enthused about (so far) has been their orange chicken, but if there's one thing that is a miss here, that can be it. Ordered food for pick up last night and unfortunately it's taken me this long to recover and finally write this. If you like greasy, heavy on the oil Chinese food with almost indistinguishable flavors from one dish to the next, this is the spot for you. Granted, ordering the orange chicken and honey shrimp didn't help matters. Honestly, got so sick all night dealing with the intense amount of oil on this food. Thank goodness we ordered white rice (no brown) and vegetable chop suey to lessen the blow. I recall many nights in college when I would have devoured this food without any digestive repercussions. Those days are gone but I digress... Will I be back? Of course. Will I order anything fried? No. It's a tough sell however when there are so many amazing Chinese places in LA but I'm not one to judge off of one visit so look for an update at some point. The food here is cheap and delicious. A 2 item combo is $8.99 with tax about $9.80 or $9.85, you know the gist. Panda Express is $8.99 for a 1 item bowl, and Happy Plus offers twice as much food. Is it the best Chinese food? No, but that's not the point. This place offers value in a critical time of inflation. When I first came here, there some people in this restaurant. I came back today, I was all alone. I fear this business isn't going to make it. I will try to come more often, but they don't offer brown rice, which is a bit of a problem for me. I need to eat healthy because I'm getting older. It took almost 3 years for my cholesterol to get back to normal from diet and exercise. That's why I've been eating more red meat lately.
