Needed a night off from meal prep. Something close to home and delicious at a fair price. Hopped on Yelp and saw a couple of friends reviews. It's been ages since I've dined here. Originally came here all the time when I was an undergrad at OXY. Ordered the Pad Se Ew with Veggies and Green Curry with chicken to be picked up. Price $35.01, left a $6 tip. Order was ready and packaged nicely for the ride home. Food was hot and freshly made. Veggies were al dente, just the way we like them. Eggplant in the curry was cooked perfectly. It was quiet in there like most times. I typically get takeout food which for one person runs about $20. I feel like the food is pricey. It tastes alright, depending on what you get. The Pad Sew Ew is pretty good with either beef or chicken. I'm not a fan of the orange chicken...I don't really like the sauce. Service was fine, no complaints. I don't really see this place as busy whenever I get take-out or pass by, even on the weekends. My issue and reason for the rating is due to the price of the food and what you get. 1. Rox Sampler Platter = $17.95 -3 cream cheese rangoons -3 egg roll wrapped shrimp -3 battered shrimp -2 glass noodle egg rolls It was pretty underwhelming for the price, just basic fried food. Decisions Decisions while driving down the main street we opted for Thai food for dinner. I have been eyeing this restaurant for a few years now. It wasn't busy and we sat next to the window. I ordered my favorite dish Pad Thai chicken, House combo fried rice, and Thai tea. The jolly Italian giant (aka my nephew) came over the other day and surprise, surprise...he was hungry! He knows his aunt doesn't cook, so it was Grubhub to the rescue. The kid wanted Thai, so we decided to give this place a try. I let him pick what he wanted, and he ordered: Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, & the Rox Sampler, which consisted of Fried Shrimp, Shrimp Rolls, Veggie Egg Rolls, and Crab & Cream Cheese Rangoons. He was considerate and requested both noodle dishes without meat. It was my first time having Pad Se Ew. The sauce gave it a nice flavor, and I liked the flat rice noodles. I liked it. Nice little neighborhood Thai spot. Inside is simple with tasteful Thai decorations. A few tables but also a small side patio with additional seating. My friends and I came in for dinner and got the spicy garlic wings. They have a nice crunch. The spicy comes from the chili sauce. Was craving fried rice and got the combination fried rice and that really hit the spot. Also got the yellow curry, a good reliable choice. Will definitely be coming back to try more. We ordered for take out on Valentine's Day. I called my order in. Street parking can be a little tough but if you have someone go and grab it, that will work. My partner's favorite place to get pad thai is from this establishment. I like it as well and the portions are great for the price. The tofu and bok choy is great too and accomplishes the pad thai dish well. The bbq steak thai style had great flavor and I would definitely recommend this dish. I'm a regular here. I buy food from here all the time. I also pick up orders from here. I will NOT be coming back ever again. The girl with the brown/redish hair that's in the front by the register bagging orders is extremely rude. I was there picking up an order. This girl accused me of wanting to steal an order from her. Not only that but she touched me. She snatched the bag out of my hands and threw my hand out my way very aggressively. She then started yelling at me in front of customers. Shouting i was stealing all because on her end the tablet wasn't loading properly that the order was confirmed and ready. She needs to learn how to control her emotions and treat customers. I brought my grandmother here for birthday lunch along with my 2 sister for a party of 4. The food was okay, nothing special lacking in flavor for sure. Service was just fine, one of the waitresses even took a photo for us. We received a bill for $96.14. A little steep considering the quality of the food but nothing was double charged or added. I did not leave a tip, beyond the photograph by a waitress who was not serving our table, there was nothing special about the service. So I paid the bill $96.14, there was suggested gratuity printed on the receipt but nowhere did it say mandatory gratuity or automatic gratuity, but my card was charged for $106.14, a $10 tip taken without my permission. I'll be contacting the restaurant directly to attempt to resolve this, if they don't I'll take it up with my bank. Update: After contacting the business they stated there was some kind of error but they're not sure what happened. They said they'd give me food or cash as they were unable to refund the difference directly to my card. I didn't want their food and since I no longer live in the area I had my sister pick up the cash instead. They were willing to make amends which I appreciate. read more

Everyone and everything about this place is great, the food Has every attention to detail that you would expect. Very nice menu.

After picking up my son and running some errands, he said he had a craving for meat on the stick. Always drove by this place and wondered how good it was, so hey, he can eat two orders worth of chicken satays by himself, so why not, right? The place has great ambiance, the usual Thai sculptures, gold plates stuff adorning the walls, and very clean look. There are even tables outside in, what looks like, a side garden. Whenever trying out a new Thai place, I always get what I usually get in most places, Prik Khing, spicy with crispy pork with a fried egg on the side, and Panang, spicy with beef. Of course, an order of chicken satay for my son and a side of rice. So when our waiter came by, we ordered right away. The stuff came out fairly quickly but I noticed that the panang had white meat in it. Thought at first it was chicken and mentioned it not being beef when the waiter came by before tasting it. We did a little back and forth, pointing out that beef shouldn't be that light colored but I didn't want to make a scene in front of my kid. Ate a bit of it and it was pork. Wouldn't be such a big deal but my wife doesn't eat pork and they charge extra for the beef option. As for the taste. My son liked his satay but personally, it was pretty bland. Marinade was kinda bland and it just tasted mediocre. Outside of getting pork, the panang was decent, not as good as other places but far from the worst I've had. The stuff inside was good, quick prep veggies, soupy coconut sauce, etc. The prik khing was pretty decent, too. The crispy pork was good but only got like five pieces. The green beans and red bell pepper were nicely stir fried and absolutely perfect heat. Enough to make you sweat a little but not crazy enough to burn your mouth (and the other end). Of course, like most Thai food, it's a pretty good price. Would have been better but I also got charged for beef (yes, I'm butthurt about it). Can get a meal or two for each dish after taking it home (where I'm typing up this review). Overall, if hungry for some good Thai food and around the neighborhood, I'd recommend it. But it's not replacing any Thai favorites and not worth driving more than thirty mins for. read more
