I have enjoyed many of the protein options and the miso soup is a nice offering for the diners. We have not had great luck with the tables. They feel sticky even when clean. It might be the finish. As my favorite teriyaki joint is CC Teriyaki down the road, I might be biased in this review. But the other day my friend insisted we go lunch here, as he was paying, I obliged. First thing I noticed as I walked in, was that the place is quite roomy, yet there weren't that many patrons even at lunch hour. Also, many of the tables are placed right next to each other, creating series of long tables, like military mess hall. Hmm, interesting setup. The menu above the counter was simple and had pictures, so they were helpful. We had chicken and beef combo, Kimchi fried rice, and plate of fried shrimp. While not terribly slow, it took a bit for the food to arrive at our table. Overall portions were ample, but the taste was so so. Kimchi fried rice had too much buttery taste, and the meat in the teriyaki combo wasnt tender. Fried shrimp had way too much batter compared to the size of the shrimp I could hardly taste anything else. After I had my meal, I could tell they add special cocktail of taste enhancers as I had terrible indigestion. I rank this place at the bottom among the nearby teriyaki joints I've tried. read more

First time going to this restaurant. I ordered the chicken and beef combo to-go today using GrubHub. I did a pick up instead of delivery so I got to see where it was. It was an easy drive to that location from my home in the Harbour Pointe area. It wasn't in a heavily traveled area as it was on the western-most edge of Casino Rd bordering Airport Rd. The portions were quite ample, and you can probably get 2 meals out of it unless you are a voracious eater. Prices are reasonable considering most restaurants now charge more, so every dollar less is appreciated on the pricing. read more

Ah...yet ANOTHER Teriyaki place in the Seattle-Area (Everett is close enough) that is in fact run NOT by Japanese, but by Koreans. How do I know? well for 1) they have Kim Chi and Kalbi on their menu and 2) everyone working there is Korean. Anyway, i've tried their gyoza, chicken teriyaki, salad, kalbi, kim chi, etc. Everything is right on par with most other teriyaki lunch places. It's good for lunch, the food is tasty and freshly cooked/fried to order, service is fast and friendly, the prices are fair (about $6-8 a plate depending how many options you want), but of course nothing to go out of your way for. I would normally give this place 3 stars, but they do offer a frequent buyer card which entitles you to a free lunch after 10 meals. Better than nothing, and nice to bank free stamps off of friends who don't care. Lastly, on my first visit to the Happy Tummy Teriyaki...I came with two friends (both who are white), interestingly they were both given forks and I was given a pair a chopsticks without even asking for them (I was going to). While some may find that racial profiling, I thought that was hilarious as hell. Damn that's some efficient service right there. ~G p.s. Ask for their Teriyaki with NO sauce, and just get it on the side. They tend to "slather" their meats with sauce otherwise. read more

The first time that I passed by the area, I saw a boy who looked, pretty stoned, but he wasn't! LOL, he was actually the son of the owner of the restaurant. I went here with my cousins after going to Boeing. The food was pretty good, the chicken was good for sure, but the beef, wasn't very good. There weren't many people in there, the chef who looked a bit scary kept looking at me. But the son was still cute. I would come back here again, but not order something that involved beef. read more

The proximity of this place to Boeing is great. On a recent job at Boeing, this turned into a standby place for lunch. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out quick. Not sure we'd ever return. Service is ok. There was a young man at the register who seemed less than interested in being there. I've never eaten in before at Hsppy Tummy which is the issue. The tables and floors are sticky. After we ordered and was heading to the table, my sandal got stuck to floor and my foot slippThey are still using a soda dispensing machine during COVID-19 and have extra bottles of condiments setting out for customers to use when these items should be put away and served in individual containers and handed out to customers. Most Teriyaki places around the Boeing Everett factory are pretty much the same. So might as well pick the place with the best value, closest, and tasty. I usually get the regular chicken teriyaki and supplement with the sriracha hot sauce on the tables for some additional spice. If I want to splurge, I'll add in some gyoza. So yummy. Sometimes since the owner recognizes me and I have been a loyal customer for some time (I have filled out quite a few of the punch cards) will bring out a small side of kimchi, which I love, and goes so well with Teriyaki. It really is a special treat since I know that it is on the menu that they charge for if you order it. I really like the basic teriyaki sauce they have there. So savory, and not too watery and not too thick. Just right. Just writing about it is making me hungry again. :) read more

This little gem is definitely hidden. I stopped in on my way home after work expecting to get your normal spiced chicken and gyoza. For starters the staff was extremely nice and friendly and all had smiles on which was instantly warming and welcoming. I ordered my food without having to feel rushed, got my food and headed home. The gyoza was hot and just the right seasoning and the wraps were perfectly crispy. Then I tried the chicken. I was surprised to see cabbage but the bite it's added was perfectly partnered with the spicy chicken. Wait, it gets better. The salad was actually crisp cold greens and not just ice burg lettuce. The salt and pepper are practically petrified and the sauce containers are disgustingly filthy, this is reflective of the general area as well.....Gross Out, I would give this establishment less than one star if I could. read more
