I Walked in to return an unused sensor I purchased day before, with receipt and part in original box. Was immediately told by employee they don't accept returns on anything electrical. I told him I checked return policy before buying and 30 day return policy with original receipt except for fluids etc. I asked him to show me return policy and he could not. Then he complained about new corporate owners Napa changed policy then went say that Napa is losing on my return but is there loss, like I'm ripping them off by making a return. This is now a Napa store front and other employee was trying to get his back as well to convince me item was not returnable. Employees are disgruntle about new management and may or may not know Napa's return policy. Never coming back here again. read more

Update on Hap's: While the name remains the same, this is now a NAPA auto parts store. It brings some good features and some bad, I'll let you decide. I entered the store and none of the employees were wearing masks. I asked if they wore masks and one person said yes as she put hers on. They are irresponsible and reckless. No one greeted me, No one asked me if I needed anything, I tried talking to the dude at the counter who just stared ahead. I felt kind of like I was intruding. Now, objectively, I still don't understand why this place is so highly reviewed. There are no price tags on anything. I mean that. I have no idea how much anything in that store cost, much less the parts I needed. The selection of parts, on the other hand, is frankly lackluster compared to one of the big chain stores. Then again, it seemed like no one was paying attention, so I'm not really surprised. I added an extra star because at least they were having a good time. It was time to replace the wipers on my Wife's van, I called the store, Aaron helped me, checked stock , gave me a price and set aside my parts order. When I showed up, he had them at the counter, gave me some advice on how to change the wipers and took care of the sale , very quickly. Got home and installed them in less than 5 minutes. I don't know how there aren't waaayyyy more reviews of this place. BEST. AUTO PARTS. STORE. EVER. This is where I go for the parts I've needed to work on my 95 Jeep XJ and 62 Ford Falcon. The prices are good, and all of the guys that work there (that I've talked to) are always really nice and incredibly helpful. It's also incredibly convenient that if they don't currently have the part in their store, they can have it there in about 2 hours. If you ever need parts, I highly suggest going here. Great service and a great variety of parts! So Hap's is a peek into the old way of auto parts supply stores. You have a staff that actually knows about cars and how to fix them, and they have most of the parts you need to help you do your own repairs. If they don't have it, they can generally get what you need pretty quick - often in a matter of a couple hours. Unfortunately, stores like this are a dying breed. Super cheap mail order warehouses and complicated cars are slowly infringing on the ability of Mom and Pop shops to keep their doors open. Luckily, Hap's stays busy due to a nice, steady stream of customers, whom they treat very nicely. This keeps everyone coming back, and keeps the word of mouth referrals steady as well. I was thinking about deducting a star, but thought better of it. Ordered a filter a week ago. Nice guy behind the counter tells me they have to order it. No biggie, just an air filter...not like my Saturn is going to implode or anything. The man tells me they'd call when it comes in, should be a few days. Time goes by, my weekend rolls around, I'm running errands and think, "Does Hap's have my filter?" Uh, kinda. Come in armed with my paid receipt and they can't find it. The guy who helped me a week prior calls K&N, tells me they shipped it four days ago and starts looking on the shelves, hoping they didn't just stock it. Evidently, it was hidden in the back somewhere under/behind/in a pile of something. Don't ask me how a 14" x 22" box can "hide", but at least I have my brand spanking new filter. They also got a couple "impulse buys" from me...a pair of digital calipers and a Hayes Guide. read more

Came to this store after checking Walmart for a few replacement exterior bulbs (they were out of basically everything) The minute I walked in the door I was greeted and told to let any one behind the counter know if I needed assistance. I found EXACTLY what I was looking for, and without it being in the wrong place, the store is very organized. It gets better.... I got to the register and reviewed the manual with one of the workers to confirm I was purchasing the correct items. Everything was correct, and maybe because I was purchasing multiple bulbs they gave me a very small discount off my total! But either way the items and products they have are EXTREMELY affordable compared to other auto parts stores. They definitely will be my go-to. I've been going to Hap's for about 30 years, off and on. Why I go anywhere else I don't know. They have everything you need for older vehicles, plus good advice from people who actually know what they're talking about. Don't think the young lady behind the counter is a token, either. She'll put you to shame with her knowledge of engines and knows a lot of part numbers from memory. All the other reviews have said it, so I won't waste your time. Great guys (and gals), good advice, and if they don't have it, they'll usually get it later that day. If you take your car to a mechanic in the Lakewood/Bellflower area, chances are your mechanic gets the parts from Hap's...they have a huge delivery service. I have a 2011 Mustang with quite a few aftermarket parts, including special valve caps for which you need a tool in order to unlock them. I haven't had to put air in my tires since I put the valve covers on (over a year ago), and when my tires were low on air a few weeks ago, of course I couldn't find the tool. Enter Hap's Auto Parts! They're right up the street from my apartment. They sold me the perfect tool for about ten bucks. I've been going to Hap's for years and years. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. They have the whole back corner of the building. Parking is fair to good. I just wish I got jobber prices, At stone retail they seem a bit more expensive than chain parts stores. BUT..., they have knowledgeable counter guys! These guys had me laughing the entire time I was in the store. I came in and explained to them that I was going to be learning how to change my own oil for the first time. They didn't treat me like some dumb lady who doesn't know anything about cars.
