As many years that my wife and I have been going to the beach here, I can't believe I never knew about this place. We usually grab a late lunch in the Harbor Village, but this place is WAY at the end of Spinnaker. What a find. The restaurant has plenty of parking and has a small outdoor patio area, but the best part is the large grassy area with shaded picnic tables AND is dog friendly! It's a great place to grab a bite on a nice day, and overlooks Ventura Harbor and the docked boats. Food orders are placed at the counter, then they bring your food to your table. Everyone is super nice, and I had a nice conversation with one of their employees about their venue. They have a Happy Hour and provide live music. Check their website calendar. I ordered a patty melt, and it was excellent. I hate it when restaurants try to put their own spin on a classic, but this patty melt was exactly as expected. Meat was cooked perfectly, rye bread, grilled onions and cheddar cheese. Perfect. The french fries were crispy and tasted great. My wife ordered their shrimp plate, six pieces of large shrimp in a light batter. They came with fries and cole slaw. She said they were excellent and not greasy. This is a cute little bar at the north end of Ventura Harbor Village. I wanted to try some tiki drinks, and they definitely had a great selection. I was disappointed there was no interior because some of the photos make it look like you can sit inside. Also you just order from a window, and it took like 15 minutes or so to even order because the cashier was very chatty and moved at her own pace. But, ya know, island time and all that. I did dock a star for all that though. Anyway, I ordered a Coconut Grove and my husband had a Halekulani. The presentation was so nice here. They used flower garnishes and little skull picks with fruit. Really fun drinks! My drink was also pretty strong as a tiki drink should be. The patio was really nice and very tiki with tabletop fire pits and bar seating facing the harbor. There was also a whole picnic table seating area out front where they had a band playing. Great location to view the harbor. Arrived on Saturday morning around 8:00 am and there was no line. By the time we left around 9ish it was packed. Breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage was great. Saving grace was the pineapple in the burrito. Loco moco looks great but flavor was below average. Paid extra $3 for "wagyu" beef: recommend not doing this as it's unseasoned and I don't even think it was wagyu quality. Service was great and would go back just for that. read more

Came here for Mother's Day back in May. It was a busy Sunday morning. We came to celebrate my mom and my sister. It's. A perfect place for a family. My niece was able to run an around in the outside area while waiting for the live performance. We ordered a few burritos, quesadillas, and breakfast sandwich. It was all good. I forget what drink I got, it was coffee cocktail. It wasn't my cup of tea. It was too strong would have like a sweeter. The veggie burrito I got was delicious. Holy smokes I have been in this area for over 10 years and just found out about this place. What a Gem. We can always find a parking spot in their private lot. Our last visit was on a sunny day with a one year old who enjoyed sitting on the grass near our picnic table and eating some of my fruit, while we enjoyed a tasty teriyaki bowl for my husband, a BLT loaded with crispy bacon for our daughter, and a perfect grilled cheese sandwich for me. After a day of hiking and being outdoors on Anacapa Island, I came here on a Friday afternoon to soak up more good weather and island vibes. I read some of the Yelp reviews and all are accurate in that this place has a Hawaiian theme and really makes you feel you're there! Sunny, friendly, laid back. You order at the window, take a number and then find a seat. I chose to sit out in the lawn as Friday nights are karaoke nights so was nice to enjoy my early dinner, a drink and listen to some music. I ordered the calamari and that was very good! Tender and flavorful, it was a lot of food, so had some leftover for a second meal. Coleslaw was good and I usually do not like coleslaw. I had a mai tai, but will say, I probably would pass on this the next time as it was just way too strong for me. Very pretty drink and if you like a very spirity drink, this one is for you. There was a guy singing who was phenomenal and honestly I could have listened to him all night. Great island vibes here, perfect for outdoor seating, but just not the menu is on the tad bit pricier side. I came in on Friday which had happy hour going to 8pm. This place has been on my bucket list for a while now, and my family and I finally made it! It gives Hawaiian vibes, and the best part is that it's right here in beautiful Ventura, so you don't have to travel all the way to Hawaii to feel like you're there! We were there for Happy Hour, and I ordered a Mai Tai. It was amazing and just the right amount of alcohol. For the food, we ordered sesame-crusted ahi tuna, coconut shrimp, and chicken skewers. Everything was so tasty! My favorite was the coconut shrimp. We also received a complimentary pineapple upside-down cake, which was so moist and sweet. I enjoyed it. We also ordered chocolate chip cooks which are made from scratch there. The service was truly exceptional. Tracy was fantastic! She was super sweet, friendly, and helpful. Every Saturday there is a ukulele live music brunch/lunch event! We came for brunch and to catch the live music and island vibes. Food was good vibes were super chill and relaxing just like you're on a Hawaiian island. The event was a bunch of elderly playing ukulele and guitar and percussion instruments! It was so wholesome and sweet. A lot of the elderly in the community come out with their instruments and sheet music and start playing along on the grass! I loved the live music and community feel. Wish more places did events like this. The Hawaiian music and ukulele definitely brought me back to hawaii. You order at the window and they bring it to you based on your number. You can either sit inside, on the patio, or on the grassy area. Water is self service ambit you can also ask them to grab you some water. If you want plates and utensils to share make sure to ask for them! They are more than happy to help. I asked them for extra pico and they brought it right away! Seafood quesadilla: super cheesy and meaty. Lots of shrimp but not as much crab. Love the pico and the salsa is spicy. They also give you sweet and sour huli huli sauce. Recommend getting it with the potato's as a side. Hawaiian burrito: I didn't really like this one... so much rice... like 90% rice 5% egg and 5% sausage. Not great. Gives pico salsa and huli huli but this couldn't really save it. Also pineapple is weird in a burrito imo. Loco loco: GOOD! But so small. Loco Moco is supposed to be a huge plate of rice, meat and egg on top with a delicious gravy but it was a small portion in a bowl with one egg. Also the gravy was not that flavorful. But the kulua pork was great and everything mixed over rice hit pretty hard. Huli huli rice was meh. Just rice and sweet and sour sauce. Not worth it. Get potato as a side. Price: pretty pricey. Especially that burrito... for a bunch of rice. Seafood quesadilla for $30? Not much crab. Pretty basic. Not worth it in my opinion. Didn't try their craft seltzers or drinks but I'm sure they're awesome! The bar is pretty large with a lot of variety. Come for the vibes! read more

It's a Walk-Up window, where you order & pay. While waiting in line you can look at the menu. After you order & pay, you get a number. Seat yourself, especially if you're dining there. Lots of picnic-like tables on the lawn. There seems to be an island vibe covered patio, but it appeared full when I took a look. Our order was placed for To-Go. I was able to walk around for a bit, while my companions waited for our order. Food was nicely packed in plastic free containers. I enjoyed my Fish & Chips. Got the Cod Basket. It comes with 3 pcs of Cod, fries & coleslaw. I appreciate coleslaw not being drenched in mayo or sauce. Theirs is light, which is good. I had enough food for 2 meals. I wasn't trying to eat the whole thing all at once & be in a food coma at work lol. My other companion had the Clam Chowder in the Bread Bowl. I did not try it. I do know there is bacon in it. He said it was good. Im picky with my clam chowder, will have to try it next time. Yes, that means I will come back & try more. Check the hours, as hours are different during the week. We stopped by on a drizzly Sunday late morning, ordered at the window, and brought our number to a cozy covered patio (complete with a fire pit). We sat on the high top with beautiful views of the marina. Bonus - the patio was dog friendly! We both enjoyed the 3 egg scramble with sourdough toast, homemade strawberry jam, and fresh avocado. I also ordered a white choc caramel latte (half sweet), which came with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel yummm. Our furry friend devoured an unseasoned burger patty in a matter of seconds. A fabulous place for a very simple view of the marina, so restful. Lots of tables on the lawn next to the restaurant. Plenty of room to meet friends for breakfast or lunch.
