All the restaurants in Destin are struggling to find help. We had a 1.5 hour wait in a half full restaurant. When we did get seated the waitress told us they were short handed and had a couple people call out. You could see them struggling. This restaurant was fabulous 20 years ago and will be again. COVID has been rough. Good news is the food was great. There needs to be some cleanup done behind the restaurant to make it more visually appealing to guests as they wait. read more

We used to own a boat and keep it at the Destin yacht club. Every trip to the boat included at least one lunch for grouper sandwiches at Harbor Docks. Destin Harbor eventually got over crowed with jet skis and pontoon boats that made navigating the harbor aggravating. We went with a party of 9. Once we got seated it was 25 min before the waitress came. I believe they were understaffed. We ordered, some ordered sushi for a main course some ordered cooked items on the menu. The sushi came out 25 min after the cooked. I think they could have timed it much better. Overall the sushi was good, prices were fair but the service was weak and they added a 18% tip automatically on my check. I normally tip 20% even with fair service because I know the waitresses are over worked because of the shortage of workers. Lost one star because I feel like they are slightly overpriced. This is a fun fusion place that highlights local seafood as well as quality sushi and some Thai dishes. Their seafood (including sushi) is extremely fresh and flavorful. Our first visit here we got the tuna poke, which is a must! We've also tried the seafood salad, which is delicious but would recommend the poke if you're trying to choose. Yokozuna roll was very tasty. We also decided to try the Thai fried rice with shrimp, it was not very authentic, definitely Americanized but, still yummy. A fantastic spot to stop. My flight got in rather late into Destin-Ft. Walton, and my shuttle driver suggested Boshamps and Harbor Docks. Boshamps stopped seating for the night so I walked a couple blocks down the road to Harbor Docks. I had a 15 minute wait and got a nice table on the back deck. The side salad before my meal was light and refreshing with a unique vinaigrette! The catch of the day (grouper) came prepared blackened and the seasoning was well executed. It was served over grits with a tropical salsa on top. The firework show was a great finish and everything combined together made for an excellent first night in Destin. I have been eating at this restaurant for over 25 years. I am a local and harbor docks never disappoints.

Quoted a 30 min wait at 6pm , but didn't get seated until 7:40pm. Not great with a handful of kids! Food was ok, but not worth the $30-$48 we paid per plate. Sushi rolls were small. Make sure to order sushi while you're waiting for your table - it takes a long time to prepare. Dock below was a nice distraction during our extremely long wait. No pictures. read more

It was .... Inexcusable. We got there at four I ordered sushi. My husband ordered a simple meal. At 4:50. They brought my husband's food and said it would take 40 minutes longer for the sushi. My husband was finished with dinner before I got mine and they gave an eight dollar discount on $23 meal that I had to eat by myself because my husband had already eaten because I didn't want his food to get cold. Our server took 10 minutes to take our drink order. After our drink order and entrees were in, we got our food fast. Not to say it was amazing, but it was quick. Honestly, our server was nice, he was just having a rough night. The water tasted like it was straight from the harbor. My parents had to use flashlights to see the menu, it was way too dark. The hush puppies were very dry, I had to dip them in mashed potatoes to be able to eat them. The stuffed shrimp tasted like it was from the freezer.
