11/01/2024 - Upgrading from 3 to 4 stars! Thank you, Harbor Hyundai, for repairing my coolant leak on 10/28. Enrique was very helpful and kept me in loop every step of the process. I do have a complaint regarding the time it took to complete the repair. I brought my car in at my appointment time (8:15am) and it took 6 (yes, six) hours until it was completed (I waited at the dealership). It seems everyone is scheduled for early morning and the cars are taken on a first-come-first-served basis leaving the repair most likely to take the longest to be the last worked on, when it should be the exact opposite. I had a diagnostic service appointment, when I arrived at my appointment time they told me that the person who was supposed to do my service was busy with someone else and that they couldn't take a look for 2 more days, and asked if I could leave my car there for 2 days. I specifically checked the option in my appointment reservation that I would be waiting at the building for the service to be over, thus not able to leave my car for 2 days without notice. Then they told me they "don't really do" diagnostic service appointments on the weekend, even though I specifically made a diagnostic service appointment for the weekend on their website. I drove over an hour both ways, the least they could've done is call me to cancel when they realized they would need to push my appointment time 48 hours later... read more

Manager tried to get us back in to seal the deal a week later but at that point, I didn't go through with it because after everything that happened, I felt disrespected and like they wasted me and my partners time. I want to preface this by saying I've been a customer here for 7 years. Went in to check my engine and fix my mirror. I make it clear that's the service I needed. The dealership calls me recommending several things that I don't want. I tell them I only want the services I came in for. The next day, before I pick up the car, I call to confirm both my engine and mirror were fixed. When I called the service line, the woman on the phone confirms both were fixed. When I go to pick my car up, the engine was fixed but the mirror wasn't touched. So I call the manager and he pretends that he will look into it. Never even calls me back. It's clear this new management and staff do not care about their loyal customers. I'll be using a different dealership from now on. read more

Like every other negative review: Service manager is beyond unprofessional. Rude, agressive and dismissive, cuts you off before you get a word in edgewise with absolute not logical points, one of which was immediately disproven as they didn't even have records of my visit a few months prior which I then said how funny is that I have the papers to prove it. Real quite after that point...an angry small man with very little going on in the way of making cogent points, gives conflicting information and doesn't even have records of their own work done. Don't call me dude disrespectfully within 30 seconds of talking to me. I literally had to say I am speaking in a calm and measured tone, could you please stop cutting me off and do the same...he could not. Would hate to see how he talks to women, oh wait never mind he treated my wife like shit too for the same issue, he just couldn't look me in the eye when he did like a scared small person that he is.... yes I have 2 leases I regret from here. When I said this issue has been going on for a little under 2 weeks he goes off on a tanget about how if he was driving around with something loose and rattling (not the issue, the 3rd party anti theft system they added ruined my 12v battery) for 2 years the dealership wouldn't be responsible...2 years is not under 2 weeks I pointed out, he said oh well that's still ample time, when I try to explain that I have 2 young children and a job that is appointment based, he dismissed that and started again on his incoherent point, I had to firmly say that well I also happened to lose everything in the Palisades fire and have a lot going on, he got wide eyed and didn't even say sorry for your loss, just started working. Service Department Review: If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I would. Not only do they not do their job, they do not call their paying customers back! I have been trying to get a hold of the service manager for 2 MONTHS! I went in to get a brake inspection, and oil change. I got my multi point inspection paper back and I had specifically asked my advisor about my brakes because I had hit 50k miles. He said my brakes were perfectly fine when they were looked at, that was not the case. Not only did I have to change my brakes less than 6 weeks later but my rotors. Because they were screeching!! Don't even waste your time at this place, find someone local who actually cares. This was an absolute safety hazard. read more

I am not happy with my purchase. I do not want this vehicle that I was pressured into buying. Ely made promises he couldnt keep. He knew I wanted to leave and buy from a different lot. He said he could talk to the manager and get oil changes free thrown in for a year. Because I did not buy a Hyundai, that was not possible. The finance man I believe Giani kept saying the warrently for the tires and all that was included in the price but did not mention that it cost an extra $2600. Yes it was included in the total price but he made it seem like that was a complimentary thing from Harbor Hyundai. Why say it's included in the price but neglect to mention it was $2600. Considering it was an optional package, why did he market it as if it was something I asked for. I am extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. I am an upset customer and first time buyer. Sales people were very nice however they failed to give me all my options upfront when turning in a lease at the end of its term. Other dealers helped lower the cost of being upside down with mileage and damage to the vehicle when turning in the vehicle. However they told me I should be good with just making my last payment and turning in the vehicle and leasing another one then a few weeks letter my mother received a bill for her mileage over. I reached out to the dealer and finance company and they both told me there was nothing they could do. So just make sure you are your own advocate when purchasing or leasing here. They won't look into what you potentially owe when turning in the vehicle. Very disappointing since my mother on a fixed income now has huge bill to pay. read more

While the salesman Jose was pretty decent to work with, they sell some cars with a "market adjustment" markup over MSRP and I just think it's a bit predatory. I understand supply and demand, but there's plenty of dealers who don't have this kind of practice even with in-demand cars and I would just encourage customers to not put up with this greedy tactic and find a dealer who will honor the MSRP price and sell you a vehicle for that price. Harbor Hyundai is jumping on board with some other SoCal dealers to try and gouge customers on cars with this "market adjustment" above MSRP, but I encourage other consumers, who like myself, didn't agree to the deal--and find another dealership that will sell you the car you want without a market adjustment price. read more

Scott in the service department was great. He helped setup my car for repairs and made sure to get all of my requests in the service notes for the technician. He gave me a realistic timeline of the repair completion and let me know it could possibly take more than a day depending on the locksmith's availability. When I returned to pick up the car, he took me to my car and showed me all the repairs that were done and all the checks I requested including ensuring the security system is working properly. The first time I met Candace she made me feel welcomed and helped me get a new key. It was such a new car (and there was a car shortage in the US) that the key was hard to get but she made it happen. My 2022 Ioniq5 was under recall, 2nd recall, and it took exactly 2 hours to fix the onboard computer. I noticed the new look the showroom and waiting room and it was a slight improvement. I was told that the dealership was under new management and I noticed that Julio, the salesperson we bought our car, was no longer there. That's really too bad because he was a good guy.
