Just had my first dental appointment with Dr. No. Like everyone else, going to the dentist is not on my list of fun activities. However, this was the first dental appointment that I've actually found not painful and very educational. His front office staff are also super nice, courteous, and helpful. After the routine X-rays in the beginning, Dr. No took pictures of my teeth from different angles. Other than just telling me what I needed to get done, he was super thorough in actually showing me on a big screen my teeth, gums, and went through each area of my mouth explaining what was good, what needed work, etc... He did not rush through the appointment but answered all my questions so that I could understand clearly and was patient in explaining it all. I found this part of the appointment so unlike any other dentists and dental visits I've had in the past. After my teeth cleaning, Morgan (his assistant) went through recommended next treatments. She was also thorough in explaining what Dr. No recommended in order of urgency but not in a pushy salesman sort of way. Went through what my insurance covered and costs of further treatment. His office was super clean and inviting. All the equipment is state of the art...the only reason why I bring this up is because my last dentist's facility was so outdated compared to what they have here. I was in urgent need of getting my wisdom teeth extracted. I didn't just want to go anywhere to get this procedure done. I did some research and after reading the reviews, I was pretty confident in my decision that this was the place I wanted to go. I've gone to a couple of dentists in the past and every time the Dr.'s would just go in and do their work without thoroughly explaining the procedure. Or getting to know their patients. Dr. No is an exception to all of this. The way he approached the appointment made a positive impact on me. He went over his educational and work background an educated me on how he goes about his work. He made sure I understood everything, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable. Morgan was very sweet and helpful too. This place really cares about their patients. I know a lot of people fear of going to the dentist but I actually enjoy it. This time I was a bit nervous because my wisdom tooth was impacted and oral surgery had to be preformed. I had both bottom wisdom tooth's removed. My procedure was done in less than 1 hour. My extractions was smooth, quick, and above all pain less!! I was lucky enough that during my recovery my checks did not swell and I didn't experience any pain. Recommend taking your pain medicine asap after oral surgery, or when the anesthesia is coming down. Couple days later Morgan calls me, made sure I was doing well and had no complications during my recovery. Dr. No is highly educated and knows what he's doing. Morgan is super nice and friendly. The place is modern with cool interior design and everything seems to be up do date. This is one my best dentist experience. Definitely will be coming here for all my dental needs!! Oh and they have Netflix, so while you're getting your procedure done you get to choose any show to watch. Very cool! read more

The true test of a great dentist - not good.- but a great dentist is the quality of work and care after the work is done I was given a treatment plan that was different from others and would io remiving some of my veneers that I had put in several years ago that were chipping in breaking and to be quite honest he was the only dentist that recommended to do a bridge across my front teeth. And every single thing that he said was right. How it looked the quality of the workmanship is fantastic. My ability to eat normal foods again is better every single aspect of replacing teeth with a bridge which is never something anybody wants to do has been a 100% improvement from where I was. And now over a month later I must say to recommend this office with this wonderful staff and great dentist is an understatement. I cannot stress enough the amount of money I had spent at other places where work was not done up to par and I've had so many issues until I came here and I truly feel like I have been given the right plan of treatment not just for today but for the future. So as a patient and as a parent that is what you want for yourself and for your children. I don't write many reviews at all but I am very much compelled to do so so other people also know what a great dentist and staff and team there are here and that you don't have to be afraid of the dentist like I always am. Dr. No yanked out the most gigantic wisdom tooth with gentle hands in about 90 seconds. I didn't feel a thing. Pain after the fact was minimal such that I didn't even really need the pain medication. He explained all of the procedures to me very clearly. He and the other doctors at Atlantic Dental are really great, and come with my highest recommendation. read more

Dr. No is amazing!! I always used to think going to the dentist was supposed to be an unpleasant experience so always hated going. This has all changed since I have been seeing Dr. No. I was in search for a dentist to remove my Mercury amalgam fillings for a few months and through recommendations came to see Dr No. Which has been the best decision ever even with the 1 hour drive from DTLA. I was pleasantly impressed with every detail of the office and The staff. Over a few visits he has safely removed all 7 of my amalgam fillings which 2 of them were quite big and now I am amalgam free!! He is gentle yet meticulous and not once did I have discomfort during treatment.. I am also in the middle of doing teeth whitening with trays made by Dr No and seeing great results. I was due for a cleaning and general check up, but needed a new dentist. I found them through Yelp and was impressed with their reviews so I decided to give them a shot. I requested an appointment through their website and they were very quick to respond. Prior to going to the appointment, they were very professional and sent me reminder texts (which I found to be very helpful). Once at the appointment, everyone on the staff was very friendly. During the cleaning/check up, I appreciated the fact that they asked me questions about what I was looking for. They also provided me with information about what they were doing and what they were looking for (specifically when it came to the X-rays). He had a unique way of approaching the appointment by getting to know a little about me and taking a picture of my smile. He then asked if I wanted to enhance my smile. I was Blessed the day I found Dr. No and Harbor Modern Dentistry. I had gone to another dentist (Saddleback) who said I needed a Root Canal on one of my teeth so I did it. Within 2 weeks I am having trouble with the tooth next to the one they just did a Root Canal on and they tell me I need another Root Canal on the tooth next to the one they just did! I heard a few ladies in the waiting room saying the same thing as what just happened to me. I struggled with it because I never want to say something bad about any company or doctor and finally decided I needed a second opinion. That's when I just happened to call Harbor Modern Dentistry and met with Dr No. I am so thankful I did. Dr No is a great dentist . He did an adjustment to my tooth and it worked. No Root Canal. He just did an adjustment. He drilled out a sharp edge that the Root Canal tooth had on which was causing the tooth next to it to be unbalanced. He teaches at UCLA. What lucky students to learn from such a great teacher, dentist, man and person. Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. No. I am truly Blessed I did. Dr. No and Morgan rock! No pain, no blood, no worries. Another awesome visit. The office is so pristine and orderly, with updated equipment for maximum efficiency. Dr. No was super friendly, diligent, and knowledgeable. He loves when patients ask questions, giving details and providing answers like you're one of his students, without making you feel obtuse or foolish. When working on my root canal, he took his time and carefully went about his work, with no complaints. Dr. No is one of those few dentists that not only does general dentistry, but periodontal work as well. My previous dentist couldn't do my root canal and referred me to an endodontist. However, Dr. No was competent enough to handle my procedure without the need for a referral to an endodontist. Honestly, I was completely freaked out to get this done and Dr. No totally changed my perception on dental work! In addition, he broke down price for everything I needed done in the future, providing advice and experience. Don't forget a great cleaning/oral hygiene appointment led by Dr. No and his assistant. Yes, Dr. No is super detail oriented, providing photographic material for reference of ones dental hygiene. Morgan is great support and always makes you feel comfortable.. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. No and his staff. He is kind, sweet, gentle, knowledgeable, and thorough. I have never had a doctor make me feel so comfortable. After my first appointment I was actually looking forward to my following appointments. And now with everything done I am excited about my next 6 month check up.
