Rather than acknowledging the discrepancy or calmly explaining that the order needed more time, she became argumentative, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. A professional response would have been to apologize for the delay, provide an accurate update, and invite me to wait at the bar while the order was completed. Instead, she argued that the promised time was 2:30 p.m., even though that was the latest time in the stated pickup window. When I asked whether the order would be ready by 2:30, she responded, "Probably." I have eaten at this location many times and had never experienced service like this before. My father worked for Landry's for many years, and based on the standards I have always associated with the company, I believe Landry's executives would be appalled by the way this situation was handled.
