A Hard Rock Cafe - Key West style. Different than most HRC's, a large 2-story house converted, with a tiered patio outside for people watching. For the space, some good memorabilia on the walls with local touch. For me, got a new key chain (#38). The upstairs (converted bedrooms I guess) have a couple of tables each in them with more R&R artifacts on the walls. This is very cool and differerent from the other HRC's where you sit in a huge dining area with 150 other people. I like HRC's, the food is consistent from location to location, this one is no different. Don't come here if you're looking for the 'flavor of Key West'. But if you're 'localed out', here is good. Caught by a warm downpour (welcome to Key West), we ducked in and got the sampler appetizer (good) and Mojitos (good). Best part: watching the cruise line 'port of call escapees' wander up and down Duval St. was entertainment enough, most wearing yellow rain poncho's in a 80 degree shower. read more

We didn't eat here but stayed for two rounds of drinks. We sat in the bar area at a table and were able to people watch and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Duval St. Our waitress was very friendly. I can't speak for the food, since we didn't eat, but to sit and have a drink it was a great place. Also, I had a nonalcoholic drink called the "Strawberry Basil Lemonade." It was so delicious! A great nonalcoholic option for kids and adults. I'm making it when I get home! I have it three stars because, though the building, decor, and outside seating and bar were awesome!! I was disappointed that the ladies room didn't have toilet paper. I'm not generally to picky, but for some reason this is one of those things that just make or break a place for me. We have loved this place until recently. The manager was extremely rude to us on New Years Night .We came at 9:15pm to see Sherrie our favorite bartender with 8 other friends from out of town. The manager told us they were closing at 10:00pm and we couldn't come in and get drinks at the outside bar . Apparently the Hard Rock doesn't need the money because we bought a bottle of champagne and many drinks last New Years an were hoping to continue the tradition. We have been coming here almost every weekend for 10 years. We went back last weekend and tried to get a drink at the outside bar with a bartender named Gabby who was also very rude to my husband and told him he didn't say her name correctly and he said ok sorry I'm Rusty and Gabby said very rudely back( I know who you are!) In fact my husband had my 50th birthday party there and rented the top floor 10 years ago. We had plans to do the my 60 party there this year but after this I think not. A steady staple! Can always count on HR to deliver! Was hot and needed a good place to cool off with great food and drink. HR on KW is it. Great setting and atmosphere - clean and cool. Indoor and outdoor seating to include at two bars. Had their magical Mojito and it was refreshing as advertised along with a double helping deal and the glass to keep. They even substituted the tall Pilsner for the hurricane glass for me since I collect those. Totally professional and courteous staff - their presentation and service is top notch. The lady at the door pressured us to come in, since there wasn't anything else open. The waiter recommend the hog fish... OMG, what can I say? It was cold and blan. No taste other than that of a sponge. The fish they would serve us at my high school cafeteria in 1990 had more taste than this. The mashed Potatoes were cold and the wanna be broccoli taste like something out of a trash can. I only wish our beer was has cold as the dinner. And my dinner as hot as my water. Visited the hard rock cafe on Duval street this weekend. The hostess was very curt and treated us as if we were just occupying the table and needed to get out of there ASAP. The food took ~45 min to come out. Also, I understand that they need to make money; but $12 for a glass of Budweiser. Thats nuts. Was eating with friends from out of town. Everything was great till that woman started playing music. It then becomes annoying as hell and in a matter of minutes ive got a headache. We asked if she could turn it down but that only seemed to make things worse as she had an attitude when asked. When I lived in Key West I was never a big fan of going into the Hard Rock Cafe because I always found it too touristy for me. My cousin and Aunt who I had not seen in over 25 years had flown into Key West so I decided to drive down from Naples for a couple of days to meet up with them. On the second day they wanted to meet here for lunch and I obliged. The five of us had a tomato bruschetta, Caesar salad, Southern Fried chicken Sandwich, Honey chicken sandwich, and a cheeseburger with a bottle of Newcastle beer. Alvin was our server and was very pleasant. He was a little weeded when we arrived but made sure to come behind me and advise me that he would be right back to take our drink orders. He returned in a timely manner and took our entire drink and food order at the same time since we were ready. When the food arrived, everyone seemed to be pleased with their choices. Thank you Kelly for touching the table to see if all was fine. My ONLY suggestion would be to sit with your staff and discuss teamwork running food and refilling waters. If one is refilling next to table 200, and sees 200 needs more too, fill glasses at that table too. Wow! Where do I start! From the time we entered the Hard Rock till the time we left I can't say anything positive things. The staff is so amazing and attentive to their guests. Our server Jon was absolutely wonderful. He made sure everything was perfect for dining experience! I really like that the employees of Hard Rock work together as a team and help each other out as much as possible! I have to say I have been to a lot places and I absolutely love the fact that the General Manager Kelly comes and visits her guests to make sure everything is perfect for them. Upon coming to our table, she was very nice and sweet and approached us with a very beautiful smile and her positive attitude was perfect! The food was to die for. I was given a few recommendations and I'm really glad They did! I really like that I was given choice to add things to my order! Our food came out perfect, especially since I added and took things away! AMAZING! Their prices are so affordable and well worth it! If there were 10 stars they would get 11! Hard Rock Cafe isn't always a food place to write home about, the food is good but your typical American food. My husband and I selected it on our Key West trip to have a little 'less fancy' dinner and a relaxing environment. We sat on the top balcony. Our waitress was busy but attentive. Upon clearing a table she dropped a blue cheese sauce on the ground which splattered on me and my dress. She immeadiately ran off to get a towel. And I just figured, okay, whatever, my luck. She came with her manager to clean it up, he made small talk with me and my husband and then gave me my meal on them. I was impressed with how prompt they were to take care of the situation. The food was pretty good as usual and this particular hard rock had a unique and awesome outside eating area and the live music was fantastic. The service was definitely sub par compared to what we have been used to. Atmosphere was great loved wandering around and looking at the old memorabilia. Cute little restaurant fast and friendly service for our group of 33 I'm a vegetarian and got the hamburger but asked for the veggie burger and told them because I was a vegetarian was suprised when they came out with out meal which was surprisingly fast service to see that they had put bacon on my veggie burger now I know I can just take it off but it is just common sense when someone orders a veggie burger they don't want bacon on there burger but not considering that it was lovely read more

The service was okay constant refills on the drinks. My only complaint was the music videos on the tv were not great.
