2 coworkers and I visited this Ace Hardware yesterday and none of us were in lousy appearance, none of us were loud, obnoxious, or disrespectful, but we were all followed around the store with attitudes that suggested that we were lowlives there to steal from them. It was hilarious when my buddy took $500 out of his wallet and began to count it, (A gesture in response to their gesture) and they continued with the harassment, so we just left. Go to Valley West Ace. Better Employees work there. If people are acting suspicious and have foul intentions, it's pretty obvious. We clearly didn't, and we were treated like scum. Do your, "What to do when scumbags come in the store- drills" on someone else. read more

What a racist ass place, I am older, black man and I was followed, and the entrance was blocked just in case I tried to run out. No one else in the store was treated like this. This is not the first time this is happened in this particular store needless to say, I would never return. read more

I had to go into the Ace Hardware in Anderson to get some paint matched to a prior paint job. Justin worked with me to get the right combination. I brought it home and it still didn't match so I took a small sample back to him. He worked until he got it right. He was professional, friendly, persistent on getting it right, and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend that anyone who wants anything that has to do with paint to go to that paint Mart and ask for Justin. He's an amazing young man. Had to go in multiple times this past Saturday to fix a plumbing issue. Staff was always friendly and helped me find the parts I needed. They even took a part out of the package to make sure it fit right. read more

Big shout out to Mike and Ken for helping me build a snake catcher. I now have a 7-9' reach to safely dispatch rattlesnakes from under my house -all for about $10.00! I've had my ACE reward card for as long as they have been around. Love the perk of getting a $10 off card on my birthday every year. Went to use my card (which wasn't expired) and they denied it. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. I'll go out of my way to shop elsewhere. And if I'm forced to go to an Ace ever again, certainly won't be providing my Ace number. read more

Ace not the helpful place, or friendly to say the least. My husband and I went in today, we couldn't find what we needed so like everyone else we look around for help. We see an employee, my husband approached him with a question. He completely ignored him, my husband turned around said "thanks anyway ". That's when he yelled "what! What do you want!" Ok now... Jo (that's the associate name) if we interrupted you or you were busy, the best way to approach a customer is let them know you will help them in just one moment instead of completely ignoring them. read more

My company requires a PO when purchasing under the account. She didn't put it in. I asked her to and she got all upset that she had to return the 2 items and re sell them to me. I go into this store weekly for small hardware needs, rather than make the run to Redding big box stores. I've always found their employees more than willing to help. They tend to have many people on staff who are usually available to walk you to what you need, from my experience. The restrooms are clean, the parking lot is easy to access (kind of hilly - so don't go in with a big trailer or long hitch). But I'll take a short park and walk and clean helpful store over Wally world ANY day. read more

I had to rent a tile saw from ace, and their rate is $75 per day. I ended up needing to use it for an additional day, which will bring my total to $150. After passing my return time for the first day, by two hours, I noticed that there was one for sale for $110. I asked the man who worked in the service department if he would allow me to purchase one for $110 instead of charging me rent for the second day, since it had only gone passed my return time by two hours. He said no he couldn't because it had already gone passed the return time, and he could have had it rented out to someone else. I asked him if someone else had come in to rent it, and he responded, "that's beside the point." Bringing me to the conclusion, that his customer service is despicable, and he would rather have my $75 than my $110, in addition to losing my business in the future. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! I explained my project to a worker who showed me what tool I would need. Purchased said tool and found out it was not what I needed. Went to return it and they said no because it had been used. I had original receipt, original box in perfect condition. I asked for to see the return policy and they refused to show me. Brooke the manager and Erika were awful. I always try to shop local but never again will I support this store. It's funny because they said they could not take the tool back because they would lose $150. Well now they lost my business, my friends business, my families business and my husband is in the trades and he will now tell every contractor he works with not to use Ace Hardware. Looks like they lost out on way more than $150. Home Depot is cheaper, returns are hassle free and the customer service is outstanding compared to ACE. I am all for supporting small local business but not this one. read more

This is the worst store I have ever been in, the manager is so mean to the employees in front of the customers. Also another customer was telling me that an associate had a baby and they would not let them have time off after the baby was born, they got fired, now that is terrible management!! read more

I was in a rush and stopped at Ace, hoping it would be quick, but I didn't know what i needed. A wonderful, helpful male employee took me right to the weed whacker line and showed me the best option. I wish I'd noticed his name. Then I went to the checkstand area, which was busy. But a new register opened up and I went right to it. A friendly, knowledgeable girl named Justine helped me. She was efficient and pleasant, and I was in and out in just a few minutes. I will go back. read more

My experience at this store has been generally good with the occasional problem, but I make the trek from Cottonwood to this store because the employees at the Cottonwood location are almost all RUDE! read more

The conveinence of having a hardware store that isn't Walmart is nice, but every time I go in there I'm met with grumpy middle-aged and senior workers. Just because I'm young and female doesn't mean I don't know a single thing about home projects. I don't care what their problem is, if you work in the service industry you are going to have to crack a smile once in a while. read more
