All I can say is WOW! I don't like dentist or anything that has to do with work in my mouth. I watched them build out the clinic and would walk by it going to the gym and was apprehensive about going in. Well, I finally made up my mind. I checked the website, I called and got some info and I went in the same afternoon to speak to them. After having done all that, I scheduled for my braces. I went in yesterday Jul 18, still nervous not knowing what to expect. From the time I walked in until the time I left, this was the best experience I have ever had and I have worked around medical facilities and my business is customer service/experience. I can say hands down this is a customer experience that I should have taken a year ago. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, caring, I can go on and on! My daughter was referred here by her pediatric dentist. When we arrived we were immediately greeted! Our consultation was very detailed. We first were assisted by Brittney, after giving us a tour we went into a clean room for private discussion, options and exam. Custom Mouth Guard - We saw an advertisement for custom mouth guards on a you tube basketball channel. I became really interested in getting my son a custom mouth guard because he hates wearing the "boil and bite" mouth guards, because he said can't talk nor breath smoothly while on the court. Also, even at 11 years old... it's not a game we don't see or he doesnt play in... that a kid is not hit in the mouth by a elbow etc. So there we were...Bowie Braces...and from the start I was sold. Clean...Neat..and Very Very Professional. The staff was great from the moment you enter til the time you leave. The molding was a piece of cake and ready in 1 day. His mouth piece looks like the ones you see the pros wear...very flexible and he loves it...he even wears it during scrimmages. When it's time for braces (once all his baby teeth are in) we will be coming here! read more

I called Tuesday morning and I had a consultation today (a day later) at 10:30am. So I just want to say from the time I CALLED the office, I knew this was where I would be going to invest in fixing my smile! From the initial call to schedule my consult it was nothing but good vibes. I didn't feel rushed or like I was bothering them. Some places don't have phone etiquette. NOT AN ISSUE HERE! Now with everything going on surrounding covid I assumed my experience would be kinda fast paced once I got there but let me tell you how it went. From the beginning they set you up with links to create an account and fill out forms before you come. BIG PLUS, TIME SAVING IS A BIG WIN FOR ME. Then they follow up with phone calls and texts messages, that you can text back to, to reply. Unlike some that are automated and generic, you actually text a live person! YES REALLY!!! When I arrived at the office I was a few minutes early so I texted to let them know and they told me to come on in. I walked in and immediately noticed how clean it looked and smelled. ANOTHER CHECK on my list. GO HEAD YALL!!! The receptionist was on a call when I walked in so I waited for her to greet me, NO BIG DEAL, she had to take my temperature anyway. As soon as she hung up she got up to come over to me and introduced herself, her name is Brittney. Even with face masks on I could hear her smiling! *Yes you can hear smiles, it's a thing!* Brittney takes me through the office and shows me where x-rays are taken, where I'll brush my teeth during my visits, the treatment area where I'll get my braces and then shows me to the consultation room and tells me I will be speaking with Ashley and Dr. Kirkland shortly. **Wait....DID I MENTION THIS IS AN OFFICE OF ALL WOMEN!!!!!** I felt proud to see those women all working together, it was beautiful! So back to the story.... I sit down and there are several model mouths on display with all types of treatment options for me to look at. I looked at them ALL, even though I already knew what I wanted. A very short time later Ashley walks in and introduces herself.... and tells me she will be taking pictures and x-rays. I was like OMG X-rays for a consult?!I know other places that just look in ya mouth from a distance and give you a price and thats it. This was very personal. ANOTHER CHECK for them! After all pictures and x-rays are done Ashley and I chat and laugh, it was like I knew her from somewhere, she made me THAT comfortable. Then Dr. Kirkland came in. She was thee most pleasant Dr I have ever met! She is a very soft spoken woman but she was very precise on what my treatment plan would be and even told me it probably wouldn't take as long as I thought to fix my teeth. I was screaming inside! YAY!!!! I didn't have any questions so she left and I went to talk to Ashley about pricing options. Let's just say, I will be calling to schedule my appointment ASAP!!!!! I can go on and on about how AMAZING THIS OFFICE IS but I'll end this here as I have typed enough already. I experienced the worst time at Bowie Braces as an employe. I was bullied by the assistants and treated like trash. During this time Dr. Kirkland was completely aware of what was going on. She called me to apologize for her staff being unwelcoming and rude. She also said that things would get better but it never did. The staff was extremely rude to me and just down right disrespectful. The entire time Dr. Kirkland was completely aware of what was happening. The following week I had a conversation with Dr. Kirkland about the fact that I wasn't being trained because I could not learn from people that wouldn't talk to me the following day when I arrived to work I was fired with no just cause. I was on time and worked hard during my shifts. Dr. Kirkland is loyal to her staff no matter how bad they treat new comers She fired me 2 weeks before Christmas and never reprimanded her staff for the consistent disrespect. She simply said the company was Restructuring but 24 hours later my position was posted on indeed. I was promised growth and a learning experience and instead I was disrespected bullied and fired. I don't not recommend anyone applying for the office and coming as a patient. No dental practice should ever treat anyone this way and the staff that Continuously bullied me are still there because Dr. Kirkland is more worried about being a friend than running a professional environment. Dr. Kirkland and her team are too bomb! I came all the way from Brooklyn, NY to get my braces. I did my paperwork with Ashley and she was very informative. Quinn hooked me up with the x-rays and prepped me for my braces. She made sure my brackets were on properly and double checked her work. We just started braces for my son and so far have had an amazing experience! The Dr is so soft spoken and kind, which is incredible for a child who worries. The staff is great! And the overall experience of appointments is relaxing. My younger two are huddled up with hot chocolate and games and are as happy as can be the whole time they wait for their older brother to be done. Dr Kirkland is an Orthodontist and I scheduled an appointment as an In service provider. Her staff had a scheduled appointment thru a scheduling service. They had a scheduled appointment set, called back to reschedule and I told them I had braces and wanted them removed. They said they could not provide service but only to new patients. No where online does it say they are a new consultive appointments only. She is an in service provider and she should have provided the service. I guess she does not want my money or cash to her. I'm giving her a one star service because that was the service provided. read more

I must say Bowie Brace is the epitome of customer service. From the moment my son and I had our first visit it was like being in a family...very welcoming. Each person was very knowledgable about her role and Dr. Kirkland was amazing. Not only is exceptionally professional, she is pleasant and takes the time to answer any question/concerns that arose. In the end, not only did they educate my son, a junior in high school, they educated me on the care of his braces. My son unknowingly received his braces sooner than he expected but in the end was truly overjoyed because he had been asking for them for some time.
