This shop will put after market parts, not dealership parts to repair your vehicle. They should discuss what kind of parts they put in your car. Not only is it after market, it's also malfunctioning parts. They did it twice to our car! My fuel pump burned up because they messed up my gas gage reader. I had to wait 6 months from the dealership because of their ignorance! When I went and showed them what the dealership said, I refunded us only the after market cost for the fuel pump, which was only $300 but, charged us $475 for the pump! I've used them in the past, they good. Not anymore! They said we've should've brought our car back to discuss it...now what fool would bring their vehicle back to mess up again!!! read more

Great service and very pleasant reception. I came in for oil change and checkup around 11:15am just before lunch time. I told them i needed to be back in school before 1pm and they accommodated that request. Jacob also changed the transmission and wiper fluids to prepare my SUV for winter. Decided to give them a try because of the good reviews, but it seems those might be a little too outdated. Although they were accommodating, the prices here are absurd. They tried to up-sell me the repair when I only wanted certain things to be done, so I'm taking my car somewhere else that's charging me nearly half the price they quoted me for! I would NOT recommend this company and am very disappointed in the way they conduct business. My husband and I live in Grand Junction and are in Denver temporarily while our son is battling brain cancer. While driving our son to chemo one day our car sadly decided to break down. We had it towed to our temporary place the hospital graciously provided while we get our roots set. We had heard amazing things about Good Hands Auto and how trustworthy of a company they are so we decided to give them a try. When my husband called and talked to Good Hands Auto he was told that we would not be charged for a diagnosis and that as long as we towed it to his shop, he would happily look it over for free, give us options and talk it through with us before doing anything, and we would work together given our situation. What a god send, right? Until he had looked over our car and gave us a call a day after we towed it to him. We were told our spark plugs were black, we had changed them once the car broke down, thinking it was the issue so we hadn't even drove it since we put them in. We were also told that it was going to be $250 since he looked over it a "little bit" and was wanting more time and money to diagnose it. Mind you, they didn't fix anything or do anything to it. We then decided it didn't feel right and wanted to go else where for a 2nd opinion. They said we had to pay our new bill or we couldn't have our car back. Thankfully our case worker helped us out and got our car back for us and towed to a new shop. But the hassle and stress this place is passing out to it's customers is a real bummer and to feel taken advantage of given all circumstances is a damn shame. read more

Right off the bat I would like to say I had a great experience with Good Hands Auto Care, Harvey was very accommodating and was charging a very fair price for their services. I brought in my Ford Escape earlier this year because the check engine light was bothering me. They discovered it is the A/C blower and EVAP that had issues, they worked on this right away and was able to take my car home by the end of the working day. A week later though the check engine light came back on, I of course brought it back to them and as before I was dealt with great customer service, Harvey was really a sweetheart. It has been a little over a week and it has been running smoothly and I am happy that the check engine light never came back on. I would highly recommend Good Hands Auto Care to anyone! read more

These guys are the best! They do great diagnostics testing and are very honest. I've had some work done on a Porsche Cayenne with them that hey knocked out of the park and for a very reasonable price relative to what i would have had to pay elsewhere. I was in the process of taking another car to them to get some issues looked at, and Audi A3. After sending them the error codes it was pulling they showed their integrity by letting me know i would be better off visiting another Audi specific shop which they had a recommendation for. Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good hair dresser. Just something you don't want to take a chance with the first time out. My employer offers a 10% discount at Good Hands and with further review they are also AAA certified as well as having good standing with the BBB. A few months back I was in a hurry to get an oil change so went to a chain Jiffy Lube. Not surprisingly, they came back telling me I had water in my front differential. So when my next oil change was due, I came to Good Hands and they changed my oil and looked over my entire vehicle (including front diff) in 45 minutes while I waited. They saw no water in my front diff and everything else checked out good. I appreciate their honesty and efficient friendly service. So far this "haircut" is a good fit and I'm hopeful they will be just as good with their color. read more

Needed a front end check for some nasty noises coming from up there. Got a quote for everything that needed to be fixed & had them fix the most important portion first. Had my upper & lower ball joints replaced, and even though I couldn't afford for more work, the prices I was quoted were pretty damn reasonable. The experience w the work was great, but so was the customer service. My checking account has a very low daily withdrawl max, so I was unable to pay for the whole service w one swipe. The woman in the front worked w me so that they could get their money without screwing me over. She also gave me a lot of good advice while my card was continuosly getting declined. Went in for a transmission leak on my 2010 F-150. After bringing it in I checked the Internet for any known problems. Sure enough, the forums showed a faulty gasket with my make/model. Dug further and found that it is a known problem by Ford. Called the dealer about it and confirmed the diagnosis. The dealer said it was a $500 repair for parts and labor. Good hands quoted $507. Right on the money. Misty at the front desk went the extra step to call Ford and try to get them to cover it. Great customer service! Highly recommend. read more

I referred my daughter to this place about a month ago. Her ignition wasn't working properly. They looked at it and came up with a strange story the key and lock was crazy expensive they quoted her a $1000 approximately. She took it somewhere else. They charged $120 and it was done in 45 minutes. Well I thought I would give them another chance. I brought my car in July 3rd 2020. My complaint was AC didn't work and a tune up and oil change. They called me back and said the suspension is all messed up it needed this and that $$2700. I told them just do the oil change they forgot about the tuneup and AC. They were after the big repair.I came to get my car at 4:13 pm they were closed and my car was trapped for the 4th of July weekend They didn't call to tell me they were leaving early. There hours say they are open until 5:00 pm. I came in Monday and VI acted like oh well tough. Consumers beware you are not in GOOD HANDS anymore. I am filing a BBB complaint also 1 star it too much I would have done minus zero. read more

This place has great service with a smile. Good prices with fast turn around times. I was on vacation in Denver and my thermostat broke while I was in the mountains the day before I left for home. My car kept over heating every 5 minutes. I called 4 different places that could not get me in till the next week. Johnny Good recommended me to Good Hands. I talked with Misty about the issues the car was having, she was very knowledgeable and offered solutions. She had the confidence and knowledge that made me feel comfortable leaving my HEMI Doge Magnum with them. They were able to squeeze me in that afternoon to fix the issues. I'm new to Colorado so I haven't had a chance to find a good mechanic. My radiator decided to break on Monday on my way to work. Checked the map and Good Hands Auto Care had good reviews and was not far from where I broke down so I decided to limp my car over there and they took care of my car! Replaced the radiator and topped off my Trans fluid and an oil change in 7 hours! That was absolutely phenomenal to me that I got my car back the same day it broke down! If you are not under warranty or your warranty is out and there is no direct benefit to using your dealer I highly recommend you give Good Hands a try. I've taken several vehicles here and Nils has always been terrific. His expertise allowed an old 1998 Honda passport to run well beyond what would be considered normal life expectancy. What I appreciated what his honesty. This vehicle at about 100K needed a new transmission. I wanted to just buy a new one but my wife loved the car and was sentimental towards it. Nils looked at it and said that if we wanted a brand new car then he'd patch it together enough to drive it to a dealership however, if we were only going to trade it on another used or pre-owned car then he recommended we replace the transmission and keep driving it. Turns out that Honda used a certain engine in this year only and he has seen that engine run into the 200 and 300K range. He said you would not get that kind of life from anything you'd buy used today. I didn't feel that many shops would give you that kind of honesty and would only want you to do the work there. The Passport has since been sold but it's still running and we sold it at 210K miles. read more

I was referred by my Co Worker and boy oh boy am I happy that he did. I was told I needed a new transfer case and some other work done with a quote of $2115 by Service Street in southlands after taking my car in for an oil change. I was told it was so bad I shouldn't drive my car at all. Well after a courtsey inspection of my vehicle I was told that I did not need a transfer case and the only thing wrong with my car where maintenance issues such as an air fliter and tail light out and suggested that I get a transmission flush since I had never had it done and my car has 86k miles. There were other things identified but nothing that required immediate attention. I went ahead and got the suggested work done, yes I could have did the tail light and air filter myself but, for all 3 it was less than $200 and my car was already there. I am so happy to have a place to take my car that I can trust. My husband will be taking his next week. I was definitely in Good Hands. No unnecessary work, honest, friendly, helpful and affordable. read more

I bought a used truck for my wife, about 6 months after I bought it she heard a loud bang and it started to run really poorly. I really didn't like the shop we had been using previously and found some reviews for Good Hands on an auto repair web site, so I called them. I described what was happening to Misty and she told me If I could get the truck there that afternoon they would have a look at it. Turns out the truck blew an intake gasket. They checked everything over and recommended some other repairs as well. They were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in language that was understandable. When I took my wife there to pick up her truck they took the time to explain again to her. My wife's 16 year old truck now runs like its brand new. The honesty and professionalism we experienced at this shop was refreshing. I hate taking my vehicles to the mechanic, but after the experience I had here I will not hesitate to use this shop again. read more

I have been taking my cars (88 Jeep Cherokee and VW Beetle) to Good Hands Auto Repair for over three years and have been treated fairly and have been consistently impressed with there thoroughness and integrity. This last experience is a great example. I had a performance problem that took them a day and a half to find with a boat load of testing and collaboration with foreign car experts but they found it and only charged me for their time. The Jeep had a lot of problems that would have cost me more than the car is worth. They didn't wait for me to decide whether or not to fix it. They advised me on the spot not to throw my money away on this car. They could have soaked me for over $1,200 knowing I would be back in. I had both cars being worked on simultaneously and they loaned me a vehicle. This business is top drawer...best of the best...they even gave me requested advice based on their repair experience of what vehicle to get that had the best "quality vehicle" record. They have earned my trust AND my gratitude. I would recommend them to everyone and anyone looking for a business of integrity and superb customer service. read more

Nils was willing to charge me a terrific amount for diagnostics I didn't really need and in addition to that he charged me an unruly amount to fix the problem the diagnostic came up with. I would not recommend this place because they overcharge on individual items to really rack up the bill whereas other garages will take the diagnostic money and put it into the repairs.
