Let me start out with what was great. The hotel itself was very clean. The staff were friendly. They have a store with snacks and incidentals which is convenient. The restaurant/bar on the ground floor, the Foxhole, 10 out of 10. Bartenders were great. The hotel room overall was nice. However, the shower, room type, and noise were less than ideal. Now what was not so great. They gave me a wheelchair accessible room which I didn't think was best. I was very concerned with if someone really needed this room, it wouldn't be available. The hotel was not full at all. Next, the shower curtains had mold on them. Disgusting. When I asked to switch rooms, they were unable to accommodate. This all happened the first night. Lastly, I heard the upstairs customer every morning at 5AM. The walking (every single footstep), rolling chairs, and slamming things. It was unbearable. I had to call the Front Desk to get it to stop. The walls are SUPER thin. Needless to say, I didn't have an enjoyable experience. Based on this, I will not stay here again.

That and I had stayed at another Cambria in downtown Dallas that I really liked. This location is next door to what seems to be a new sports and rec center and also Old Town restaurant where I had a great meal. There are three breweries within easy walking distance. For a nightcap, I enjoyed a couple local IPA's from the rooftop skybar. Very pleasant drinking outside on a mid February evening! The rooms are great. Sleek and stylish. Big lineup of channels on the TV. Fridge, but no microwave. Comfy bed. Slept great. Most importantly you are able to get the room pretty close to pitch dark. Makes a huge difference for me in how I sleep. Will look for Cambrias to stay at again in the future.

My husband is a bit of a germaphobe and usually has several things to say about any room we stay in. He had zero complaints this time, I was shocked! Literally every member of staff that we passed took time to look us in the eye, smile, and greet us. More than one stopped to ask how we were enjoying our stay. As someone who worked in customer service for 7 years, I REALLY appreciate when employees take the time to be personable. We went down to the restaurant for dinner but decided we wanted to eat in the room. The nice woman taking our order said she could have the food delivered to us. I expected styrofoam take-out boxes in a plastic bag, since I hadn't seen any mention of room service being offered, but when it arrived the food was beautifully plated on glass plates and a nice tray. The food was very good. My only complaint was that it was lacking salt on some of the dishes but the hotel provided salt and pepper packets with the cutlery so it was easily remedied. The bed was very comfortable and linens were all very soft and nice. Two observations just as a heads up to future guests. There was no microwave in the room. Looking back at the listing it was not mentioned in the list of amenities, I had just assumed there would be one. It didn't affect our stay much, we had just wanted to reheat some leftovers. I didn't have the chance to look around to see if they offered a microwave in a communal area. Second observation was that essential oils are not allowed in the rooms. I usually like to diffuse oils so I was a bit disappointed, but I do understand them not wanting lingering smells or oil spills in their otherwise immaculate rooms. Neither of these things were big enough to complain about or drop a star for. We will definitely be staying here again and enjoying the restaurant while we're there. Secondly where water is supposed to pour in the gym for your drink, it was so dirty. Also in the gym: There are no cleaning supplies to clean after yourself, meaning potentially it goes hours without cleaning and that can be a big sanitation issue. 2. The beds are hard, and I wasn't sure that the shower was properly cleaned. There are two shower heads, one you can remove and adjust wherever you want. I aimed it to a corner of the shower to check and out came dirt, dust, I'm not sure what else. Nothing crazy but still. Also, why and how is the toilet crooked? It's so weird to sit in. The shower settings are kinda complicated to figure out and the water pressure could be better. Now the bathroom door: NO. It isn't a real door, it's like a glass slide door thing that came off the wheels TWICE, and there's no ventilation in the bathroom: meaning foggy, stinky, whatever just lingers for awhile. 3. No pool, roof top lounge, but no pool. 4. Room is pretty meh ‍ Most likely would not book again, but to each their own. Then a second...I recorded it, got dressed and went to the desk. Played it for night desk person and showed him sink image. He added it to notebook. Went to room, more random clinking as other guests used their water. Quickly packed, headed for breakfast. Reported again, playing audio for morning manager. "So sorry". That's it. Great location, easy check in process, spacious accommodations and very clean property. I am super…read morenitpicky when it comes to hotels and this one is probably one of the best we've stayed in. They are pet friendly with a fee, which is understandable. We brought our dogs, and felt safe walking them around the property to go potty. There are trash cans by every entrance so disposing of potty bags is no issue. The complimentary breakfast was actually pretty good. I almost never eat the free breakfast, because, again, I am super nitpicky, but they had muffins, coffee and fruit that was good. My husband and son enjoyed omelets and sausage. We would absolutely stay here again!
