I knew a couple of the people from another Meetup I was in and thought it'd be worth the drive all the way east to here that Tuesday night. Burger was excellent. I got an egg on the burger, yum! Service was good as I recall. Trivia was a lot of fun. We even got a free shot for the whole table for getting a specific question right or winning a round or something. Think it was like a lemon drop. The only issue was that the acoustics were bad for the trivia and was hard to hear the questions being read, so posed a bit more challenging as it was noisy. I'd go back here for trivia or otherwise. However, on a sad note, the very next morning I went to my office and to do some work travel that afternoon. My dad called at 9:15 AM breaking up about our family dog dying. I still did the work travel that afternoon but I was despondent and numb the rest of the day. The sides of pico and sour cream came in tiny plastic containers and seemed store bought; the sour cream was separated with overly thick cream surrounded by liquid. The cauliflower was supposed to be "flash fried" (whatever that means) but it was honestly terrible. Soggy and mushy and soaked in a super strong buffalo sauce. The other people in the group who ordered burgers commented that their food was dry. This place honestly should be treated as a bar where you'll come to drink their extensive offering of alcohol. Erin is one of the best bartenders in Annapolis and she can make you so many special cocktails that you would be pleasantly surprised. They have an arrangement of beers with local Maryland beers on Tap. As I've said in my previous short post, they do a sunset toast for everyone sitting at the bar. This has ranged from a toast of a special cocktail to a toast of a special shot of soup. It's pretty fun and it gets everyone at the bar talking. I won't lie, the food at the Kitchen when they first opened was okay. The Head Chef, Roshaad, has really made the meals fantastic. Just the other night, a woman to my right was saying how delicious the burger was. I frequently enjoy the wings while I'm watching the game.
