Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

I had no clue until I started to eat it that it was homemade pasta. In my head I kept thinking there is no way this is not made in house. I asked the waiter and yes indeed he said they are making pasta all day long. With the amount of people in this restaurant. I can only imagine how busy that kitchen is creating this soft and fresh beautiful pasta. If you have ever made pasta. You know how much time and work it is. Service was top-notch - our host greeted us with a smile, and our waiter was on point. We got our beers within five minutes, no problem. The ambiance was cozy, well-lit, and bustling with sports tv and ambient noise. But here's the kicker - we waited 30 minutes for our wings. Yeah, it was 1:30 when we arrived and the place was pretty empty, but that's no excuse. Now why did give a rating of two? Well, for the service and ambiance only. We were served our wings at 2:00. How were the wings you maybe wondering? My Husband and I eagerly grab wing flats. 'Can these bones live?' Eating those wings immediately reminded me of Ezekiel 37 in the Old testament after he saw skeletons scattered about asked, "Can these bones live?" The wings were drier than the Sahara, and the honey barbecue sauce was just a weak attempt to revive the corpse. Can these dry out wings live up to being freshly made and juicy covered up by a tasty honey barque sauce? Hell to the naw, naw naw!!! We called our waiter over explained our dissatisfaction with a request to remove the wings off our bill. We still tipped him, because hey, he's not the wing assassin. since he only served the food and it was the kitchen that prepared that saucy dressed up trash plated up real pretty. What a let down Miller's. We noticed your price increase for six wings cut in half sold as 12 pieces. If you expect customers to pay more for less than you should be serving your best, that is cooked fresh not food that is precooked sitting for hours then reheated. I did check your reviews which were not the best and gave you the benefit of a doubt despite low ratings. Would I recommend Miller's? Sure, if you enjoy eating dry wings and wondering if they'll crawl off your plate. However, to each their own, your money, your call. This economy has got me rethinking the whole 'strike three and you're out' deal. Paying more for less, subpar service, unnecessary waiting time, honey it is now, strike one, you're on out as my time and coins are valuable and restaurants are hurting so I will search for one where I can get the love I deserve.

Feathers Ruffled at Harold's Chicken Shack With taste buds primed and a hankering for some crispy poultry, I made my way to the renowned Harold's Chicken Shack on a recent Friday afternoon. Visions of savory wings and delightfully chewy gizzards danced in my head as I approached the establishment, eagerly anticipating the culinary experience that had sent the town's tongues clucking. Alas, fate had other plans. Upon arrival, I was met with a sight more deflating than a punctured air fryer - the doors were firmly shut, denying me entry into what I can only assume was a finger-lickin' good time. It was as if the chicken gods had conspired against me, leaving me to mourn the missed opportunity to bask in the ambiance that had garnered such rave reviews. As I stood there, dejected and wing-less, I couldn't help but ponder the cruel irony of the situation. Here I was, a willing patron, ready to join the ranks of the satisfied and sated, only to be left out in the cold, metaphorically and quite possibly literally, depending on the establishment's air conditioning prowess. DONT GO HERE!! This place was absolutely HORRIBLE! If you're thinking about going here, turn around and save your money! The staff is very ignorant and the food is absolutely over priced. They got mad when I took a picture of their over priced menu. Also, I noticed they weren't using any gloves while touching the food. This location gives the legendary restaurant Harold's Chicken a horrible name. This place should be shut down and not reopened. Ordering through a jail house window and also have to show my ID to use my card. Crosstown Pub in Naperville, Popeyes in Aurora, The Town in Aurora and everywhere else has much better wings and for less!! I hope a heath inspector comes in and shuts them down. They don't even deserve a star. Over priced food with a highly ignorant staff. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I never felt discriminated in my life but when I walk in to order my wings and was looking at the menu...the black man was giving me a dirty look so I noticed it so we started having a staring contests while I was telling him what I wanted..their was a person waiting on his food and noticed the tension in the restaurant he said ge had the same reaction from the cashier RUDE ...and we were both talking in Spanish and the black man didn't like that we were both having a conversation but I didn't care what he didn't like... and yes we were talking about him and the staring was continuing while all this was happening...it was the 1st time and last time going to that location...WORST experience ever while ordering food....the harolds chicken in chicago have way better manners and respect for costumers....FUCK this location...hope this location SHUT DOWN....they don't treat people right read more

I placed an online order with BringMeThat for this Harolds #83 3577 New York, Aurora, IL. I have never been to. Went to the restaurant to pick up my order and was greeted by the worst human being I've met in my entire life the owner. I never thought I would have an racist interaction with the owner because he is black! But don't get it twisted there are black people who don't like their own race. Pretty sad! I end up having to call the police because of the condescending manner he spoke to me. Then a white male customer who was in the restaurant at the time became belligerent and called me Felicia! So original! I don't care how much I like Harolds this restaurant will never get one dime of my money! The police show up and tells me they get calls on the owner all the time! Wow Sad! Please, I repeat PLEASE do not patronize this business. Harold's Children in Aurora IL. Count your Fuqin days... After I go there, I IMMEDIATELY regret going so I take a year or two off, thinking they will get their act together, but NO!! And how dare you be rude to PAYING CUSTOMERS. people spend their hard earned money in your business and you treat them like crap. This says a lot about your misery! I hope "Surf's Up" takes all of your business. God see's your nasty attitude and lack luster food and he's already moving on our behalf. you've already had to downgrade your Lexus car to a Chevy, the next move is a for rent sign in your commercial space. your food and service is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE & DISGUSTING. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here has been consistently disappointing. The customer service is terrible--staff always seem to have an attitude and make you feel like you're bothering them just by ordering. The food is just as bad: poorly cooked, no flavor, and definitely not worth the price. To make things worse, you can never get anyone to answer the phone, so calling ahead or asking questions is pointless. Overall, this location is unprofessional, unwelcoming, and the quality of both service and food is far below what Harold's is known for. I would not recommend this spot to anyone. read more

THESE PEOPLE HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I walked up to the window, and the lady just stood there. She did not ask if she could help me, or anything......just stared. So I spoke and ask if she was going to take my order. She replied while rolling her eyes "What did I want?" So I asked if I could speak to the manager, she said she WAS the manager! I found that the fish lacked flavor and had an unpleasant taste, almost like it was cooked in burned grease. Additionally, the service could have been more friendly, as the lady who took my order seemed rather rude. Unfortunately, my experience here has not improved over my three visits. I believe there's room for enhancement in both the food quality and customer service. Harolds is the PLACE to be. They are always killing it with the chicken any time of day. I love the honey feel of the place. Big places just don't do it like they do. I opted for the hash browns, turkey bacon, scrambled eggs and toast. First off, the toast was Texas Toast which was odd... it was much too thick, but it didn't matter because it was burnt. They also didn't put butter on it right when it came out of the toaster so it was dry and cold upon arrival to the table. The hash browns had no flavor, but the ketchup and salt/pepper helped make them edible. The eggs were okay as well, but the turkey bacon was gross. It tasted like rubber. I have no idea what brand it was, but it was obviously some cheap off brand. The orange juice was so bitter that I had to exchange it was apple juice. My mom had hash browns, eggs, sausage and pancakes. She didn't care for her food much either. My sister had the corned beef hash, eggs, hash browns, and toast. She loved the corned beef hash and thought everything else was okay. Ultimately, she agreed that we should have gone elsewhere. The restaurant was clean and quiet except for the noise from the television. The bill was about $50 for the three of us. The quality of the food is obviously lower tier. IHOP would've been a better choice and that's not even a place I'd ever even consider visiting.

That being said, it was literally dripping in sauce, which was 95% grease, 5% flavor. I would definitely not order this sandwich again. On a side note, we received a text asking us to complete an online survey. I took the time to do so, and when I hit submit, it asked for THE code they sent us. They did not send us a code, so I could not submit the comment I took the time to write. This place needs to get their act together.
