Yard House is a great option in Naperville for dinner with friends, family, or even a work get-together. I've always enjoyed the food here, especially the steaks. My favorite is the Korean Ribeye--it's well seasoned with a slightly sweet soy flavor and has a ton of flavor. It normally comes with Parmesan fries, but I like to substitute mixed vegetables and white rice. Also don't forget to add the grilled shrimp. The Filet Mignon is another great choice and has been consistently good. They also offer half-price appetizers during happy hour, which makes it a great place to stop in for drinks and share a few appetizers. Overall, a solid dining option with a good atmosphere, plenty of menu choices, and consistently good food. Definitely a place I enjoy coming back to. read more

Clean and inviting inside, truly appreciate the window shades thay they put down when the sun gets at a point where. Its going to be in your face. Came to Yard House for a business dinner. Since we had a pretty large group, they offered a set menu that we could order from. I started with the salted watermelon margarita, which was tasty and refreshing with a nice fruity flavor. It wasn't overly strong, making it easy to sip throughout the meal. For appetizers, we shared the spinach dip, calamari, and buffalo bites. The spinach dip was good, and the chips had a nice salty crunch. The calamari was pretty standard, but there was way too much breading, the squid-to-breading ratio was way off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The menu description mentioned quinoa and brown rice, but they were practically nonexistent. There were maybe a few grains of brown rice in the entire dish, and it mostly consisted of a handful of steak cubes and vegetables. The flavor and sauce were good, but it wasn't very filling. Thankfully, I had already filled up on the appetizers. For dessert, I tried the crème brûlée cheesecake. Honestly, it was nothing special and tasted like a thawed frozen cheesecake with some cheap berry compote on the side. Overall, Yard House is a fine option for hosting large groups thanks to its spacious setup, but I wouldn't come here expecting amazing food. My first great impression of this place was when I called ahead and was told that they will switch one their TVs to the Cubs game so that we could watch it at the same time as the first World Cup game! The atmosphere is awesome here! I loved the dark colors and spacious seating. It's a great place to catch a game, but more upscale than a typical sports bar. Our server was great and was very friendly and attentive. We ordered calamari and then pizza and everything was delicious. Next time I want to try the poke nachos! I really love Yard House and this location has such a great atmosphere with an open air dining room right by Block 59s "yard"! I've been to your house several times and I've never been disappointed in the food. It's always fresh tasty and arrives in a timely fashion. My favorite thing to do here is loaded up on appetizers! They have such a great variety of small plates, it's so much fun to get several and share! My personal favorites are the poke nachos, firecracker shrimp and sliders! This week I tried the chicken lettuce wraps and they were also delicious with a tasty peanut sauce and just a dash of heat to boost the flavor. I've also had a burger and that was tasty too. Oh Yard House!!! The selection of foods is massive, but the quality is sub par. I suspect that this place is most desirable for beer lovers. If so, I completely understand. We joined the waitlist online on a Saturday night around 7:45pm. The wait time was about 30 minutes. Once we arrived, we waited about 20 more minutes. Once my friends and I were seated, we waited another 10-12 minutes for our waiter to show up. Our waiter Lexy, was bomb! This review does not reflect her service. Lexy was phenomenal!!! Lexy was honest about items in the menu that were popular and those that were not so popular. I ordered the pineapple chicken and sweet potato fries. The first set of fries were served cold. Lexy quickly took care of that! My husband ordered the 20oz Ribeye with broccoli. His first set of bróccoli was burnt, so we had to made a request to replace these as well. The pineapple chicken was phenomenal! The Firecracker Shrimp, salivating!! The ribeye was mediocre ‍. I wouldn't order a steak here if you are expecting STK and above. Expect Chilis instead. Friday Happy Hour (3-6pm) got to try some appetizers and pizza for 1/2 off. Got the Spicy Za'atar hummus came with crispy crunchy pitas. Wasn't spicy to me, but very delicious and liked the seasonings they have on the pitas. Next we had the truffled pizza, was a very thin crust and it came with lots of mushrooms. Chicken nachos was really good and very large portion. Couldn't tell from the picture, but it is like 2 big plates. Chicken was cooked very well. Lots of cheese and toppings on top of the chips. Chips were light and crispy. Also had sour cream and guacamole. Even though the drinks are not part of the happy hour (Naperville rule) had to have some drinks. We actually were seated at the bar. The bar tender Michael was great at guessing the type of drink when I asked for a sweet drink, but not too sweet. Lavender drop sweet but not too sweet. Very light too. Next had the passion fruit mojito, wasn't that strong and was like juice to me. Last had ended with the Expresso martini. Was strong and definitely help keep me up all night. Perhaps they want us to use the on table kiosks instead of taking orders. But the fact is, the server rarely checked on us and when we needed the bill, it took us over 40 minutes to get it. We expected some minor issues which did happen but to be expected for a first night. All staff was very attentive to everything & the Managers were fantastic. The appetizer burgers are not worth 1/2 price, they are dried out with just a sliver of cheese, just terrible. The Chicken lettuce wraps, a lot of wraps and very little chicken, not enough to cover the lettuce wraps, it's like what are they saving the chicken for? The Korean cheesesteak sandwich, this was excellent, I highly recommend this sandwich .the boneless wings, we tried them and they were good, just over breaded. So food wise, it was ok, bar food. Not a place for a good dinner. Ambiance, the place is very loud, hard to hear each other talk. Service was good until the bill came, our server Brandon wouldn't let me have the machine in which to pay, he held on to it and gave himself a 20% tip. Yard House is a welcome addition for those who want options. A large drink and food menu provides you with plenty to choose from. A variety of beers, most however that are relatively local and ones that you've probably heard of before. However this Yard House is smaller in size compared to other locations with less square footage and less beers on tap. The location is convenient but the parking lot isn't exactly right outside the front door. The inside space definitely feels cramped compared to other locations. The service however is great with servers being attentive, talkative and knowledgeable about their beers. A taste of a beer is available and with bartenders who are willing to help you find something you'll like, Yard House is definitely making the customer experience a priority. However it's disappointing that this location is so small in square footage that it feels cramped. Also with less beers than other locations it makes me wonder who decided to change what was working at other locations. Less TVs at this location compared to other locations makes me think that this build was hurried with no research as to what other restaurants in the area offer. Yard House should have stuck to what they have done in other locations with a larger space, more TVs, and more beers. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is what makes this small, lacking enough TVs and too few beers location receive 5 stars. read more

I was just a bystander so I will tell my story and let you all judge for yourself if you want to eat here. We walk into Yard House for the 4th of July and two people were in a fetal position on the floor semi blocking the entrance. My buddy says "what the heck are you doing??" as we walk in. We are seated and order our drinks. We are approached by 8 people of that party asking us why he said what he said looking for an altercation. Come to find out they are Muslim and were praying. They call my buddy a racist, lay hands on him, and the Yard House employees break it up. Five minutes later Harris, an employee from the Yard House, calls the cops and has us police escorted out with zero explanation. My buddy had a Trump shirt on and I feel was discriminated on because of that. The party that approached us and laid hands on my friends were allowed to stay but we were forced to leave. Again, these are facts so whatever you choose to do with these facts are up to you, but we routinely visited the Yard House and will never go back based on this discrimination placed on us. I do not pick a political side as I am on God's side so I just witnessed all of this happening with grace but will never go back.I would encourage anyone never to go here based on what I saw as there are plenty of other places nearby including Cheesecake Factory and Lazy Dog. read more
