Not only was pricing much more reasonable compared to other companies we checked out, but we were charged exactly what we were quoted over the phone and received additional services (scotchguard) at a discounted rate. I hired Harley purely based on Yelp reviews, but I did NOT have the experience other Yelpers have had. He did a very poor job. First off, he was missing a part from the carpet steamer which allows it to suction correctly. He asked for, and replaced, this part with a (cooking) pot in order to perform the job (I couldn't make this up). I also paid a lot extra for odor control, and I could tell NO difference afterwards; it was as though there was no treatment of odor at all. I asked him to return to fix this. He came back, said it did not need to be re-steamed, and stated he put some chemical on the carpet which would resolve the problem. However, again, it made no difference in the odor. I decided not to call him back a second time (I figured if he struck out twice, it wasn't likely he was going to fix it if he came a third time). I had to re-hire someone else to do the job. I would not hire him again, and would caution others against doing so. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Terrible waste of time and money! I called Harper to clean my carpets based on their 'good' reviews. They agreed to do an enzyme treatment in 2 areas of my home that my new dog has turned into a bathroom. I was quoted 98$, and for that price they would replace the carpet padding if needed. Sounds like a good deal right? Well lo and behold A completely DIFFERENT company came out, and of course, did a poor job. We paid them 100$ and the carpet still stinks. I basically wasted my money. I called Harper and was given the run around. First they couldn't find my order. Then they conveniently 'lost' all of their files. Then once I gave her the date of service, she denied I was ever a customer of hers, but finally admitted she 'referred' me to Spot Carpet Cleaners. Must be nice to hand off your work, take a cut, and bear no responsibility in the outcome. I called Spot Carpet cleaning to see if they will warranty the work, and replace the padding, but now they want 350$ to replace the padding in my home. Bottom line - BUYER BEWARE. Know that if you do business with this company they may 'refer' you to another company, without your knowledge. And apparently, neither company is responsible for the work. Shame on them both. Very scary to know now that I had a completely different company in my home than who I thought I was dealing with. read more

With such high marks on yelp I was REALLY hoping to be able to write a good review but unfortunately - no. They came in December 2016. I spent almost $600 with them to clean and seal light gray grout in our kitchen, entry and eat-in areas. The grout was only 6 months old, brand new - but being so light showed dirt very easily, especially in high traffic areas. The tech assured me repeatedly that he'd be able to get it back to "nearly-new." And then I wouldn't have to worry once it was sealed. I asked specifically about penetrating grout sealers. I researched and wanted to make sure what I was paying for would work. It's essentially white grout! (Not our choice, the builder put it in.) He cleaned. It didn't look much different at all but he kept assuring me it was still wet and will look better. So I trusted him. He dried it, sealed it, took payment and left. It is now April and the grout looks worse than it did before I called. I seriously can't believe I paid that much to only have to think about having it all cleaned or re-done or something 3 months later!! It's seriously awful. Would not recommend this company after this experience at all. Judge for yourself from the pictures. Seriously disappointed. read more

I initially called another place that has a full page ad in the paper, they offer 3 rooms for 99 bucks or something similar. When I called the other place, the woman was unfriendly. That made me not feel like I wanted to give them my business after her rude tone and I ended up not going with them. So I took to Yelp, times have changed and Yelp is the way to find businesses and read reviews from your peers and I often forget this! Harper (at the time) was the only service with 5 stars and the reviews were awesome so I gave him a call. He was quick to call me back and quick to come out to my house, either the next day or the day after, it has been a while so I forget. I have a lot of pets and my carpets have seen better days so I was prepared for less the perfect results simply because of the state they were in. Much to my surprise I ended up with AWESOME results! The deodorizing spray that was a bit extra really made a huge difference. The owner (his name escapes me) who came to clean my carpets was really personable and friendly and I felt at ease having him in my home. Armando did the carpet, tile and grout cleaning for us. He was very tenacious and left our carpet and tiles very clean. Especially the tiles. He worked very hard on our job and the difference was visible. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because I think the prices were on a higher side. If you don't mind paying extra, harper does a great job. For carpet cleaning, make sure you set your expectations correct. I initially thought that they will scrub the carpet with some kind of shampoo and then vacuum it. However, i was told by Armando that the standard carpet cleaning process, the one that i paid for, included spraying the carpet with a solution and steam cleaning it. This type of cleaning sanitizes the carpet but won't take away the stains leaving your carpet like brand new. If you want your carpet to look new, you will need to request a different cleaning process which is 2X in cost. read more

Our wall to wall carpet had not been professionally cleaned for several years. We evaluated several companies, and spoke with neighbors. Then, using YELP plus phone calls, we made our final selection. Harper Carpet Care gave us a quote over the phone on a Friday based upon the number of rooms and square footage of carpet that we provided. Harley, the Owner and his helper arrived promptly the following Monday and called ahead to let us know they were on their way. Their truck and equipment trailer were in great shape and they had their own generator to power their equipment. They walked the house with us and explained what they planned to accomplish. Then they went to work and had us review their first completed room before they moved on to the rest of the house. They were careful with our furniture and used foam blocks to elevate the sofas. The process went smoothly and the carpet looked much better and smelled fresh when they were done. They gave us instructions on how to preserve the appearance and they applied a protectant for an extra, nominal fee. Professional, Polite, Efficient and Effective is how I would describe the service. We are pleased with the carpet which hardly shows the wear pattern now. There were a few carpet defects that they could not correct, but even those areas look better. Harley was up front about what he could and could not accomplish with some of the defects inherent in our carpet. We will have Harper Carpet Care back again in a year for a follow up cleaning. read more

I contacted Harper Carpet Care to fix some carpet transitions that I had messed up when I installed my wood floors. I couldn't be happier with the level of service I received from Harley and his wife. Very professional and courteous from the moment they answered the phone. Harley arrived exactly when he said he would and quickly fixed my mistakes. I walked him to each transition (3 total) and he explained to me what he could do at each one. Very professional, fast and friendly and they were early to the appointment (called me an hour before to confirm they were on the way). In mid September we used Harper Carpet Care to clean all the carpets and most of the tile and grout in a new home that we would be moving into shortly. I wish there were half stars because I think they deserve 4 1/2 stars. They were a little late showing up, but called ahead to let me know that they were having some equipment issues. There were a few spots and stains that didn't come up, but for the most part the carpet looked great. I wish I had had them do all the tile and grout because it looked fantastic!!! Harley was not sure when the job would be done and told me he would call in 2 hours. He called in exactly 2 hours! How refreshing to have such great follow through! What a difference! Our ten year old carpet had many wrinkles in it and was generally filthy from four kids and a vomiting cat. It had been too long since it was professionally done, but I found Harper on Yelp and these reviews helped me decide. to give them a call. Took about six hours to get all of the repair and cleaning done, but it was well worth the wait. Each time I vac the hall now, I am loving not having to navigate those wrinkles! Miracle workers! Our carpet is OLD and was stained with everything from doggie accidents to heavy traffic areas, to wine, to coffee....you get the picture.
