I had a good experience having my wife's car serviced at this dealership. Her Scion tc was eligible for warranty coverage to address the oil consumption issue she was having. Jim worked with me setting up the multi-part inspection to verify the cause of the issue, which required three visits to the dealership in all. The car rental service was a pain free process as well. My wife has had her car for several days now with no issues (they had to take the entire engine apart and replace some of the parts). She had work done there in the past which has never needed to be re-addressed. read more

I don't live near worcester but was there for the day and needed to have my car serviced. We called them the same morning and they were able to give us an appointment a few hours later. We got there early and the staff were nice enough to take our car right away. The service took a total of maybe 1 hour. They had a decent size waiting room with a free coffee machine. I made myself a mocha latte and it was pretty good. They were out of the free pastries from panera bread, sadly. All of the employees we dealt with was nice and friendly. It was probably the most pleasant experience I have had at Toyota. read more

Great experience from buying my RAV4 to having it serviced. Buying a vehicle at a dealer that does not work on commission totally changes the experience. None of the games played at commission dealers. The trade in process is open and spelled out in black and white so you see exactly how the trade in is calculated. I bought my car about 18 months ago. Every time I have been in for service it has never been an uncomfortable experience. I also don't feel I the prices are unreasonable. If I have a question the service people are never to hurried to explain things in terms I will understand. My last visit I needed new tires (I drive a lot). The prices they gave for 4 new tires was comparable with all other stores and they offer price matching. Even my husband was shocked when I told him that piece. Definitely will continue and recommend Harr Toyota. read more

They have lost my business after 16 years. This was such a shocking, dysfunctional, and confrontational experience that I have to report it. Was it because the diagnosis came from an independent AAA auto repair shop (where my vehicle had been towed after failing to shift into any gear at all)? Was it because they hoped I would abandon my Prius (worth $4,000 to $5,000 to them for an almost instant resale)? Or, was it because they hoped to talk me into a new or used vehicle going for very high prices due to parts shortages? What I do know is the diagnosis was clear (Transmission Control ECU Malfunction and Actuator System Fault), and they did not want to repair it for me. They insisted repeatedly that the problem could be other things and my success in eliminating any other possible causes threw them off course. When I pointed out they were telling me they wouldn't repair it so I was supposed to collect my car that was unsafe to drive, they repeatedly denied that was the case. This circular conversation with Harr went on for next to an hour. I ultimately had to demand, and I mean DEMAND, that they perform the known repair. Notably, they threw away the faulty part, evidence gone, and have documented that they will not guarantee the service! I have driven my Prius daily over the past two weeks with no repeat of the problem. My recommendation to anyone planning to purchase a Toyota is that you find another dealer. Remember that you are not just purchasing a vehicle, you are purchasing years of dependable maintenance and repair service as well as intelligent and trustworthy customer support. Harr truly failed to meet the challenge for this long-time customer. read more

I purchases a 2012 camry in May of 2014 happy with the vehicle so far my complaint stems from the fact that they offer 1 years maintenance (oil changes) nice selling point because i do a lot of driving come to find out after the 2nd oil change that is not the case only 3 oil changes are allowed, nowhere in there advertising is it stated that only 3 oil changes are given and the sales person never told us that i even joked with her that i would be in every other month and her response was yeah saves you a lot of money for 1 year. i was not going to complain about it but the more i thought about it the more i felt that potential customers should know about this deceptive practice and if Harr reads this to change there ads and train there sales people better btw service advisors are top notch very proffesional. i will be looking to purchase a new vehicle for my wife in the spring and i dont think i will use this dealership read more

Worse place to get car serviced! I bought my car here with only 2000 miles on it...being getting my synthetic oil changed here every 5000 mile drive! It turns out it should have been every 10000. Bottom line, I've been robbed $45 every other 5000 mile drive for the past 4 years!!! To make things interesting, they tried to charge me $300 for oil panel leak service...I called Westborough Toyota who told me it's free cos my car is still under warranty at 50500 miles. This is my very first review ever! I just think it's not fair to cheat customers just because you want to make profit. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure harr Toyota is a good company but this should not have happened since I bought my car there!!! read more

I've bought a dozen cars or so, and this is the best experience I've had. The no hassle "Harr pricing" is just that - new or used, that's your price. No endless negotiation, no getting hassled by the sales manager/team lead. Even women get the same price. My online experience with scheduling a test drive didn't start well - the car was not at the dealership. I wasn't happy about that, and I met with a manager who understand the matter and offered me a substantial discount on any car I in the lot ( about triple what I expected ). I bought a car that night and everything went very smoothly. Even the F&I guy didn't hassle me with endless paint coatings, plastic films, etc, etc that most dealers force you to listen to. He offer several warranty extensions, and that was it. It seems like a bunch of decent people working for a decent dealership - not some humongous chain run by some guy with a mega-yacht or in a fake rock band. If Amazon sold cars, it would be like they do it at Harr Toyota. read more

I just brought my minivan to fix a major scratch. They said it would take all day at the body shop. They offered a shuttle to drive me home, which is convenient, and while I waited in their really comfortable waiting area with plush leather chairs and flat screen TV, a service woman came around to take orders for breakfast from Panera for everyone on them. Awesome! What's best, the Panera order was fast, it came before the shuttle arrived. Now I'm home and comfortable. Thank you Harr. read more

It's funny to see some of the negative reviews here because I had a great experience. I was here in June 2016, worked with Kevin and Carolyn and they were great. I told them what I wanted and they were able to deliver. I have been back a few times since for the maintenance and everyone has been super nice. It's always a nice perk to get Panera delivered to you for free while you wait. I would certainly buy another car here. I've been a customer of HARR for almost 10 years. Bought 2 cars there and always brought them here for service. Brought my car in to check a noise in the back. Figured out the problem along with another wear and tear issue. Gave me a rental for overnight because the car had to be kept overnight. The next day I was left a voicemail from the service employee that my car was repaired but unfortunately the technician got into an accident while test driving my car. Apparently it was the technicians negligence that caused the accident. First they seemed very accommodating to taking care of my car but I wanted to be sure the repairs were done right. So I contacted the insurance company to do a proper appraisal to make sure that everything that was wrong with the car was fixed. Their insurance company was also contacted by the dealership and their insurance is the one that took care of my repairs. Everything was great until they told me they expected full payment for the repairs done prior to the accident. And when I questioned how fair that was considering that they devalued my vehicle by getting in the accident they said they would give me half off of the bill. I still wasn't completely happy with that but at least it was something to make it right. Upon picking up my vehicle I was told To pay full price. I asked the employee why was I being charged full price when they said they would give me half off. His response was that they changed their mind , they didn't call you to tell you that? I was so furious. It's bad enough they weren't willing to make things right by doing anything to make up for the fact that they devalued my car, they also didn't have the decency to call me and tell me they change their mind and aren't giving me a discount. I had spoke to the general manager and the service manager about this issue and they were rude, didn't care that I was a loyal customer, and also lied to me about who was paying for the repairs. Will never go there again. Can't be trusted. read more

Only giving one star for the fact they saw me right away when I walked in, but I would NEVER go back here for anything. Had a quote from another dealership and asked them to match it-got the old style nickel and dime. I left and told them to call me with a final price and never got the call (was promised in the hour). I had to call and leave a message the next day. Finally got a call back and same thing-salesman bs. I said I was going to pass and was HUNG UP ON!!! Called back and was ignored- 3 times, no answer...Bottom line, very unprofessional-will be writing to Toyota and not recommending Harr to anyone! read more

I purchased a certified used tacoma from Harr. I paid cash-no financing yet still had to pay a $429 Doc fee. I was out of there in 5 minutes when they finally brought me into the office. They wouldnt inspect the truck (which I paid for) until they completed the registration which they said would be about hours??? So I left and had to pay for it again since I live 2 hours away. Once I cleared rush hour traffic and got up to highway speed about an hour away, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel. After bringing the truck to a local dealer who told me the tires are out of balance and the truck is out of allignment. This is not covered by warranty and when I contacted Harr's Customer relations manager said I didn't contact him soon enuf and they wont cover it. He offered to look at it if I brought it to them. First, its already being fixed at my expense. Second, im not going to drive 4 hours and sit around all day to have them fix something that should have been done before delivery of this "certified" vehicle. Also, the didnt send my registration to me until I called and asked where it was a week later. Stay away from this dealership. read more

i brought my 2015 Toyota Corolla in for the first service. I was told where to find the service department when I made the appointment. I pulled up and was immediately greeted by a pleasant valet. He checked my car for any existing damage. He brought my car further into the garage and said he would send over an advisor. Within 1 minute, a smiling and pleasant advisor came over and beeped a machine on my car door label and got all my information. He had me sign for the service to be done and then said take a seat in the waiting area until they call me. He said help yourself to coffee, pastry from Panara Bread, and restrooms. The chairs were comfortable with a nice side desk to work on. About 25 minutes later, the service advisor called me to the desk. He introduced me to the technician who did the work on my car and explained the results of what they did. Both were very pleasant! The advisor escorted me to my car outside and handed me my keys and receipt. He said on the receipt was a numerical code that I could get a complimentary car wash and told me what to do. I was absolutely thrilled with Harr Toyota and will sing its praise!! read more

Not to be trusted, Careless, irresponsible, unfair and dishonest dealer. I purchased a Vehicle from Harr Toyota about three months ago. It was an easy sale. I asked both my salesman and his manager about the history of the car. They assured me it had no defect. They assured me the car was fully inspected and has no issue of any sort. After I have driven the car, I noticed a random false warning from the dashboard indicating the drivers door is open. Every time I checked, the door , it was fully closed. I called the dealer and was informed of a Toyota recall will be launched in the near future. After I checked with several Toyota dealers I realized the drivers door was repaired by the previous owner. When I went back to Harr TOYOTA GSM Martin, he showed me a Carfax report prior to inspecting the car.(all car fax has only what has been reported) . Throughout my visit, Martin tried to prove me wrong. He then with the help of service manager explained to me what the problem with the door. They were wrong. The problem is unsolved. When I contacted Martin the manager, he never returned my call or my Email me back. He is not acting in good faith to handle major issue caused by either the neglect of his service or the incompetence of his staff who couldn't detect the problem. Decent dealer would not sell and deliver a car with major issues to his customers . In addition , This car had a defective new tire and has noise from the bearing or front end. She should avoid any escalation with his customer. They will eventually correct The problem . Why go through the aggravation. ?? read more

After searching around for a bit, I found and purchased a vehicle I liked at Harr Toyota. I have since had a terrible experience. While purchasing the car, I was told that with the "document fee", I would be all set and they would take care of registration. But after calling them later with my updated insurance info., they told me I would need to either meet them at the DMV or come back into the dealer to sign the papers again with their notary present. At that point, I may as well register my own car. I ended up driving back to Worcester to sign the papers AGAIN. Now, I have been waiting for a week for them to register my vehicle. Ramon, the salesman told me the registry was closed on Friday and is closed again today (Monday). A quick call to the DMV revealed that the dealership was lying to me. After spending almost 18k, including a 400 dollar registration fee, the sales manager, Justin, and the saleman, Ramon, have completely disregarded me. These people will act like your best friend, but they will lie through their teeth to you. read more

I have purchased three vehicles from Harr Toyota during the past 25 years, or so. The last two vehicles were purchased after using the internet to find the best price. Will's offer was better than the other dealers in the area both times. Service is pricier than at an independent body shop, but you get dealer parts and know-how. Also, the customer waiting area is very comfortable. You can make an espresso, select from the free waters in a fridge or purchase a drink from a machine. Snacks also are available from a machine or, in normal times, from the Panera's about a block away. If you go to the Panera's for coffee, the Service Department will text you when your car is ready. If you don't want to make the walk, for instance because of bad weather, someone will make the trip for takeout for you. (Note: I'm not sure if the Panera's is even open during the COVID-19 pandemic; this review refers to normal times.) The chairs in Harr's waiting room are very comfortable and have tray tops. The WiFi is fast and free, and there is also a large-screen TV. Upon occasion, I have used their drop-off and pick-up service for addresses in Worcester, but it's more efficient to take a project with me to work on in the waiting room. read more

Hello everyone, I just had my 2011 Toyota tundra serviced at HARR, a 30000 mile tune-up that was paid for when I bought the truck in Sep 2011. As I was checking out, I noticed the tune up prices on the service table. I asked the service guy, if I had gotten the most expensive tune-up, because that is what I prepaid for. He stated to me that I had gotten the $230.00 tune-up and not the most expensive one. There were 3 prices listed for tune-ups and the one I had received was the middle priced one. I said to him when I bought the truck, I was told by the finance guy if I prepaid for the 700 tune up, It would only cost me 470 and I would save 300.. first of all there was no 700 tune-up listed and the most expensive one was in the 379. range. When I mentioned this to the service guy, he was sympathetic to the problem. but its the finance guy, who did it not the service guy So to sum it up I paid $470.00 for a $230 tune-up and will get another oil change worth $30.00 dollars. So I overpaid for my tune-up at harr $200.00 It just ticks me off that, the sale of the new vehicle wasn't enough. they had to screw me down the road. read more

Worst dealership ever! High pressure, I would give a 0 rating if I could. Bought my car here, had so many issues afterwards... They wouldn't honor the warranty even though I did all of the work at Toyota like they told me I could!!! I've gotten everything done at Toyota, everything! After engine issues, they said all the work had to be done at Harr. This was conveniently told me after they started tinkering with the car. So they left me with a $900 bill, without the problem fixed and no choice but for them to rob me!!! I should've have never listened to the girl who said I would be all set. It's my fault for not getting it in writing. Only to receive a call to say sorry your warranty doesn't include the work. We've taken apart your engine to look at the problem, and you now owe us labor. They are crooks!!! Stay Away! read more

I recently purchased a part from HARR TOYOTA on ebay on the word of an independent mechanic who said that was the part that my daughter needed. When she took the car and the part to get it installed, a different mechanic said it was a different part that was the problem. When I returned the part to HARR TOYOTA, I complained about them gouging me with a restocking fee that on ebay they said "may be charged". A reasonable person would then believe if the part was returned in the original factory packaging that the restocking fee would be waived. As soon as I requested a return on ebay, HARR TOYOTA sent a message that only 80% of the original payment would be refunded. Without ever seeing the returned part. So their default is not a restocking fee "may be charged" but a restocking fee "will be charged". The following are 2 emails documenting my discussions with HARR TOYOTA. EMAIL I sent: I guess I made 2 mistakes in this purchase, one by not seeing the 20% restocking fee and one by ordering the wrong part. The part is being returned in it's original packaging and you can party by gouging me with the restocking fee. Rest assured I will never deal with you again. Oh, I made one other mistake by giving you a positive feedback before I returned the part. HARR TOYOTA DEALER RESPONSE EMAIL: Good morning, I have to disagree with you. It appears that you made three mistakes: 1. Not checking the return policy before placing an order. 2. Leaving feedback before verifying that you had ordered the correct part. 3. Not simply asking for help. The return policy is there to discourage those who make a habit of randomly ordering products and returning them. This is quite prevalent in the on line environment. As you can see from the feedback we have received from our customers, we don't have any problems in resolving issues for them. Many of our customers contact us prior to ordering to ensure they are ordering the correct part. Those that don't and that end up having an issue, simply contact us and we find a way to resolve the situation. Most of the time we are able to ship out the part that they actually needed with minimal inconvenience or added charges. As you have already condemned us a "gougers" and stated that you will never do business with us again, there is no advantage to us to making an exception to the stated return policy. "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." Best of luck to you in your future endevors. WOW, and this company presents on its website that customer satisfaction is their goal. I guess this employee wanted me to "kiss up to him" to get the restocking fee back. I am too old and too cantakerous to kiss up to anybody. I only lost $35 to these creeps but I pity anyone who would purchase a car from a dealer with this attitude. One may say it was only one employee but an employee would only send an email such as this when the company culture supports it. What the employee didn't realize is that I have 2 adult children living in their vicinity, both driving Toyotas, and there is no way on God's green earth that they would ever deal with this company. Received a mailing to trade in our current vehicle, so we went in and wanted to purchase a new 2016 Rav4 and trade in our current one and was told that we had to place a deposit down to hold the vehicle, this was on 6/25. The finance department was trying to get Toyota to approve the loan but with the negative equity on the vehicle, they required a large downpayment. Sales Mgr Derek told us that he could 'get us' approved on a Camry, that was Friday 7/1, today is the 8th and we have not heard anything. We even asked if keeping the current vehicle and purchasing a new one would be an option and was told he would check and get back to us, that was yesterday and still nothing. He has the co-signer information and it was processed with the initial loan request. They claim they work on customer satisfaction and not commission. We also requested several times between June 28 and July 1st that our deposit be refunded but evidently, this is too difficult of a process for them to handle. No dealership that I have shopped at before has required a deposit to process a loan request. I guess we will be taking our vehicle to another Toyota dealership from now on and purchasing at another location as well. read more
