Ordered five whole subs at 1:15 pm to be picked up at 1:45. Arrived at 1:45 only to find that they had not been made. They said that they would be ready in 15 minutes, but continued to make subs for people standing in line. At a little after 2:00 the gentlemen working the counter got ready start my order. While watching him make subs, his face mask covered his mouth but not his nose. At suggested that the mask was useless, in less it covers both. He adjusted it and proceded to start my order, only to have the mask come down off his nose again. At this point i decided that I did not feel comfortable feeding my wife, daughter and two grand daxughters subs made by this mam. I told him I no longer wanted the subs, and was glad he had not made them. read more

During Covid I had not been going to grocery stores. But since Virginia has reopened I went to Harris Teeter today. I was surprised to find they do NOT enforce mask wearing. They let people shop with NO masks and many of their employees wore their masks on their chins! I won't be going back to Harris Teeters!!! read more

Low and behold, they ran out of prime rib at 6pm again. Do they not realize that people come here after work just to get this? Do they like pissing people off? Why not make more than enough and serve past 7pm until it runs out of necessary? Or, if demand far exceeds supply, raise the price. Simple economics. But please, stop doing what you are doing. What is the point of advertising your prime rib to be served until 7pm if you run out before 6:30pm every. single. time. Do you all realize that some people fight traffic after work just to get this prime rib, only to discover you've run out again? My son went to a the doctor Thursday for his breathing problems. They sent the prescription to this pharmacy. My wife gets there to pick it up and they tell her that they don't have it and will order it. Saturday I went to check the status and was told it should be in on Monday. If you get something FROM the doctor office it usually means it needed right away. Told him can I get the prescription I'll go find someone else who has it. Instead he called CVS in Target and they have it and said he'll transfer it to them. I get there and they are closed already. They should have check who else has the medication in stock before ordering and let us go there on Thursday to get it. read more

I had high hopes when this store opened. It had a great grand opening with prolly 6 to 8 checkout lanes open. Since then, I have found that they usually keep only 1 checkout lane open (plus the self check). Although most of the employees are very nice, I can't deal with the lines. I like the hot food bar but it's the same menu all of the time. Wish they had more vegetarian options there. read more

The produce department seems to be slacking off with checking for out of date / moldy fruit. Not one pack of figs was free of mold. The natural foods aisle was pitiful; there were no lids for the plastic cups (for self-ground peanut butter).. and no one to ask. I wound up finding them in the cabinet myself, which is when I spotted the green rotting meat hidden in a corner under the cabinet (presumably left by some customer). I alerted staff to this.. but this should not be left to a customer to discover. I'll skip this store for now and stick with Giant. read more

Always check your receipt with this location. Almost every time I have been to this store the prices charged are more than what is advertised on the price tags and in advertisements. If you catch the mistake they will give you a refund for the amount overcharged but usually without an apology or an assurance that they will fix it. Makes you wonder if management does this purposefully. This has also happened with their prescription transfer program. Get $25 voucher for each prescription that is transferred to their pharmacy. The only problem is the voucher will mysteriously disappear and management will say someone must have used your VIC card and no further explanation. It appears that all of these problems are way beyond being a new store. It desperately needs new management from the front end to the top. read more

New store, and plenty of customer service. However, they get one star because of the sushi. It was fresh, so that was good, but it was cheaply made. The nori did not go all the way around the sushi, and it was packaged to hide this. Which means they are intentionally cheap and deceptive. How lame is that? This also made the sushi fall apart easily, and hard to eat. Not to mention that the amount of wasabi and pickled ginger was only enough for about 3 pieces. It was also the saltiest sushi I have ever had, and that was without the soy sauce. What a disappointment. *smh* read more

It gets on star only because the pharmacy is great. Otherwise, I would give it zero stars if possible. Simply put: it's SEVERELY undermanned, the prices are WAY higher than wegmans or other similar stores, and it's in a poorly designed space, making it always hectic and stressful to shop there. I waited in line 20 minutes to get checked out, mostly because nothing was scanning and everyone loved at a glacial pace. If you need to buy groceries from here, plan to spend too much time and money. read more

I watched this store being built, that is how excited I was about the new HT location. It's 24 hours, drive thru Pharmacy, Starbuck (typically no line!) and they carry a wide selection of products. I go here about twice a week for my groceries. Pros: *variety of shopping carts. Large, small, and a special Caroline Cart. *Curb Side grocery pick for online orders *Very friendly management and cashiers *Starbucks *pharmacy rewards *Double manufacture coupons and mail VIC coupons Cons: *The deli station customer service needs some help. It shouldn't have to take a long time to pick up deli meat. They do slice it fresh, but there is typically one or two people working and they have more people working in the prepared food and sushi section. I have turned away several times. * the bakery station workers should routinely check to see if a customer is out front waiting for service. I had about 3-4 other workers from sushi and prepared foods walk pass me seeing me waiting for someone in the bakery section. * online pick up workers. They really need to be mindful of the customers who are coming in grocery shopping. I have been bumped into, cut off, waited awhile to get an item from the freezer because they are rushing to fill online orders. They should be respectful of the in-person shoppers. Other than that, this is my go-to grocery store! I'm glad it's finally here :) read more

Plenty is seating next to Starbucks inside the store. Clean, friendly staff. Best latte I have had from Starbucks in a very long time.

This isn't my absolute favorite grocery store. The managers and staff are always very helpful and friendly. They have one of the best florists I have found in a grocery stores or florist shop. I definitely recommend shopping here. read more

I've never been into Harris teeter before but this one's welcome coupons for the new store drew me in. It's now an outing for me and my two toddlers. Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. But I cannot find a good section of organic meat and can't find any grass fed beef, so will likely have to keep going to Wegmans unless they can improve that! read more

These guys just keep getting better. We wondered if they were just on their best behavior when they were brand new, but every time we go in there they are helpful, fast/efficient, always have what we need in stock, and it is always quality at a fair price. They are exceptional! read more

Nice, new, clean! Produce was fresh and plentiful. Weekly dinner specials will be convenient. Just a couple of observations. The seafood dept. over cooked the shrimp (not known until I got home). The cashier bagged the hot, steamed shrimp with the Magnum ice cream bars and raw chicken. :( Overall, not sure this location will sway my overall grocery shopping from Wegmans. Prices on items I regularly purchase were significantly higher at HT. read more

I was so excited about getting a HT in Sterling! The staff is great. I was in the store earlier this week and had purchased 4 packs of diapers. I was looking over my receipt the next morning and noticed that the receipt had 5 packs. I immediately called the store and explained that i had been overcharged. The lady i spoke to apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a refund for the extra pack i was charged for and on top of that refunded me for one more pack of diapers since i had to go back to the store. I greatly appreciated that guessture and will continue to come to this fantastic store!!! read more

Today was my first time shopping at this location and it will definitely be my go to grocery store from now on. The store was VERY clean and all of the employees were helpful. They didn't have any Bibb lettuce but someone in the produce section helped me find an alternative. Then someone made fresh vegetarian sushi for me. Then a woman named Rosemary opened her register for me because the line was long. she even took my cart over for me! One last thing, on the way out I noticed that the Starbucks was fully stocked with pastries. Every other Harris teeter I have been too runs out around 10am and never re stocks anything. Have to give a great big shout out, thumbs up, rave review to the new Cascades Harris Teeter. I got home without a bag of groceries, just a couple of things. I called before driving back since I wasn't sure if I left it in the cart outside or inside while checking out. The delightful manager offered to have the bag delivered to my home. It showed up about 10 minutes later with a gift card!!! Totally above and beyond. Between this and the grand opening coupons, it's my favorite grocery store around! read more
