On this freezing Friday night, we decided to return to this establishment. Have been here several times before. Four of us in our party. We all ordered from the sandwich choices. Three of the sandwiches were ok fourth one not so much. The waffle fries were horrible. They tasted like they were from yesterday reheated. None of us ate many of them. The wait staff was ok but we did encounter an issue with the separate checks. We asked to see the manager. He had a definite defensive attitude and was not customer oriented at all. He was abrupt and short and made no attempt to try to work with the CUSTOMERS. Needless to say, the four of us agreed that we will NEVER return. I'm not much of a sports bar fan, so I'll put that out there. But my brother is...so I let him pick the place! I was pleasantly surprised; for a sports bar/restaurant, they have a wide variety of items, and some actually healthy! I ordered a chicken club, on Italian bread, which was very good; a nice, juicy grilled chicken fillet, too, not dry or loaded with spices like some places do. My sister in law got a Cajun "bowl", which looked really delicious (I'll try that the next time!) My brother had a bison burger, and said it "hit the spot", which translated, means better than average! The service was very prompt and friendly as well. Went with a group on a Friday night and first sat inside. The server rang in the wrong drinks twice so we moved out to the patio. The patio is nice and we were enjoying ourselves along with the other three dozen or so people sitting outside. At 11:30 the staff just shut off the patio lights. All of them. No warning, no "hey folks we're closing the patio soon", nothing. Everyone just looked at each other, got up and left. They lost out on potentially hundreds of dollars from everyone sitting outside. Stopped in with the GF for a beer. I'm not a Beer person at all. I ordered the draft house light beer, it was okay. It was beer. Very much like a bulk made Bud Light. The GF ordered the Blueberry Shanty, it was very good. Second round I went with the Reds Angry Orchard on tap. Pretty good. Wait was staff ok. No complaints, atmosphere was typical sports bar. I had been told to go here by many a stranger met in local bars and microbreweries. I finally decided to check it out. They have over 30 beers on tap, though the majority of them are domestics -_- they had a 7th son ipa so I had that. Good as usual. I also got the truffle fries. Omg they were so good! It was a little spicy, and the sauce was amazing! This place has a great atmosphere, plenty of televisions, good prices, and the staff is okay... Though they were understaffed when I was there, so I understand. I will come back here again when I'm in the area, because I hear the bison burger is very good. I'm being generous with the 2 stars. All the servers and particularly the blonde RBF hostess seemed squarely under the influence of cannabis or bitten by a zombie. The fries were trash. Cold and hard. They were charging to sit on the patio where a karaoke band was making a mockery of 90's music. Great people watching. That's well worth the cost of a few drinks, the food not so much. I love this place! I don't know why it gets so many poor reviews. I have enjoyed every dish I have had there and I don't always get the same thing. My husband I have gone every Thursday night since June. We always sit at the bar and get great service. All the bartenders are friendly. I'll admit sometimes they seem short staffed but those that are working keep up the best they can with positive attitudes. read more

All I can really say is...bar food. Was excited to try and maybe my expectations were too high. Everything tasted like it was already cooked for hours and was just kept warm and assembled when I ordered. Chicken taco meat was all dried out. Pulled pork was dry and grey. Fries were way over salted and soggy. Basically everything was too salty and basically just subpar. The only item that was good was the burger. I wanted to like this restaurant I truly did I visited this location 6 times in the first month it was open and brought new people with me each time I visited. The food is good, it's inconsistent, but it's good. My main issue with this restaurant is the management. Any time I had a question or complaint they would either ignore the issue or insist I was lying. After my sixth visit I was asked to leave for sharing a review on Facebook. I was mocked on my way out by the manager on duty. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant or any establishment in my life and I was taken aback. I could go into great detail as to each instance in which I was ignored, told I was wrong, or mocked at this restaurant but I wouldn't want to write a book on Yelp. The service is a joke. It's romper room in there each time we go in. The food is good. Actually it's really good and consistent each time, but it's painful watching a group of servers and bartenders treat the place like its a playground. I've seen the same server, off duty, at the bar drunk off her ass the last three times I've been in. That may not seem like much, but it speaks to the overall management of the location. The professionalism is sorely lacking from the hostess stand to the managers/owner. Water fights on the patio, hostesses hanging up on to-go orders, manager/owner getting into a profanity filled verbal altercation with a customer, being ignored by a patio server for 20 mins, bartender handing you your beer with her back turned to you, manager turning every TV to music videos despite local teams still playing. I've had each of those happen to me on separate visits. It's actually amazing how each visit manages to go worse than the last. We continued going back because we waited 18 months since Gordy's went under for something to come into that building. I love the locations in the Cleveland area and was very happy we were a mile away from one here. I can't support it anymore. 30 minute to go order tonight at 9:30pm. The management doesn't care, the servers don't care and now apparently the kitchen doesn't care. Guess I can stop caring as well! The building and the food would rate a solid 4, but the performance of the wait staff necessitates a 1. The redesign of the interior was really well done. read more

My wife and I used to frequent the Harry Buffalo when in it first opened, but over time with multiple menu and staff changes this place is not what it used to be. We went there on Sunday 5/15. As we entered we saw a sign instructing us to seat ourselves. We sat by the back garage doors/windows in between two other tables. A waitress was bringing one of the tables a beer. She did not acknowledge us as she walked away from the other table, but I figured another server would be around shortly. I must add the restaurant had very few other tables seated at the time. My wife saw the server sit down in front of a computer and shortly thereafter two others joined her and began having a conversation. We still had not received drinks or even a menu to peruse. As we were sitting two other groups walked in at which point we decided to leave after 13 minutes of waiting without any acknowledgement from the staff. We went to the Winking Lizard instead and are not planning on returning to the Harry Buffalo again. The main reason we decided to go there today was to try the new menu as their previous menu revision left much to be desired. I guess we will not if they'd made any improvements due to the complete lack of service. One of the main reasons we went there in the past was because their fries were amazing but they changed those from nicely seasoned straight cut fries to nasty, chewy and often times cold waffle fries. The boneless wings also suffered a similar fate and don't hold a candle to Roosters or the Winking Lizard. My wife's go to meal was removed from the menu. The poor service combined with a decline in food quality make this a place I would recommend skipping. read more

Avoid at all costs if you are looking for a place to eat! Stopped by with my wife and two kids on Sunday night. The place was fairly empty; couple people sitting at the bar and a few other occupied tables. First issue was the sound of the NFL game was insanely loud. Look, I get that it's a bar, but loud to the point that you had to yell at the person sitting next to you to hear. Considering the place was basically empty we asked the waitress if the sound could be turned down a bit. She said "I'll check" then rolled her eyes and walked away. The sound was never turned down for those wondering. Now on to the food... I ordered the four piece hot chicken with two "JoJo". The chicken was way overdone; tasted burned and dry. It was not served with hot honey as the menu stated and I literally laughed at the two JoJo's. They were the size of KFC potato wedges. Potatoes are like 10 cents a pound wholesale. You think they could be more generous. The wife ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad. Again, literally laughed when it came out. Looked like they dumped a third of a bag of salad mix onto a plate and topped it with the world's smallest diced chicken breast. For $10. We got the kids both the Mac n Cheese from the kids meal ($5 each). It came in a very small ramekin and without the garlic bread per the menu. Kids seemed to like it. I tried it - average. Overall, the food was not good and definitely not worth the money. Could have had a better meal at KFC for a third of the price. Pretty obvious the staff isn't interested in providing quality food or service and shame on management for charging $10 for bagged salad tossed on a plate. Definitely won't be back. read more

I have dined at this location twice in a month. The first time we had a group of 12, took us an hour and a half to get seated. We were seated a good 10 min before our waitress took our drink order, 15 min later she brought our drinks and we ordered. It took at least a half hour to 45 min to get our meals. Most of the food orders were cold, one person ordered a steak medium, came out well and was dry and cold like it had been sitting there for awhile. One person didn't get her food for another 10 min. Complained and did get our meals taken care of and received gift cards from the manager. My husband and I went again last night. Service still very slow, ordered wings which took about 20 min. Ordered a burger and fries to share took about another 20 min. Fries were hot but the burger was not. Doubt that we will be back. read more

Really bad service. My mate split his beer accidentally and bar tender didn't even bother to ask of he would like another drink. No question if he wanted another... Just nothing. I order the cookie ice cream dessert and the cookie came out brunt..... I mentioned it and again... Just nothing. Instead, he Just threw my dearest away and doesn't offer to bring another one out. It's a typical sports bar. If you've ever been to an Average Joe's it's sorta like that. Although they have less t.v.'s. I liked the look of the place and the sunken bar. It seemed clean and open. I went with a couple of friends and their two children and we were worried it'd be loud and we wouldn't be able to talk and hear each other. Music was playing, but it was subtle enough that we were able to all carry on a conversation without any problems. We wanted to sit outside because they have a really awesome outdoor space. They also have a stage out there where they do live music Thurs-Sat. Unfortunately we could only sit out there if we were only drinking and ordering apps. You couldn't actually order a meal out there. Which blew because it was nice out yesterday and it was freezing in the restaurant. A big plus with this place is that they do have a lot of healthy options. I was able to get grilled chicken and shrimp with a side of steamed veggies and brown rice. All of it was very good. Chicken was moist and the sauce was really good. The only complaint I have about the meal is I wish they would give you more shrimp. I think I had about 5 baby shrimp on my plate :( I tried my friends pulled pork sandwich and my other friends wings and both of those were very tasty as well. All in all it was a good experience. I came here yesterday with a group of friends for appetizers and drinks and was absolutely astounded by the rudeness of our original server. We arrived at around 3-3:30 when the restaurant was about 1/4 full, we wanted a booth so we picked a standard 4 person one against the wall to sit at; it was dirty so I grabbed some napkins to wipe it off, no big deal. We sat there for maybe 5 minutes and then questioned if there was table service on the floor. That prompted us to move up to the top area and try sitting at a larger booth, we had a server then show up right away and ask "How many is this for?" Rather than introducing herself or even wearing a smile. When we told her eventually there would be a total of 4 but it may be an hour or so at which point she cut me off and said you can move BACK to the smaller booth because this is for 6 or more. I've worked in restaurants and I get the fact that she is wanting to maximize her tip earnings, I have no problem with moving however she went about it the wrong way and ADMITTED that she saw us sitting at the original booth and decided not to approach us for some reason. The customer Service skills of a few other employees were subpar to say the least but our actual servers attitude was by far the worst. I chose this as a meeting place for my friends yesterday opposed to our normal hangout at a few bars in the Short North area but clearly that was a mistake. The food was good and the drinks were nice but the attitudes of the staff ruined it for myself and my party. Everybody is entitled to a bad day but it was very apparent that this was an acceptable practice at this establishment. Most certainly won't be back nor recommend it. read more

Very nice bar/restaurant! The outside area wasn't open when I was there but it looked awesome. I can't wait to visit this summer and check it out! I got the "how we herd em" burger on a pretzel bun. I come to Harry buffalo usually on Wednesday for the happy hour and burger special(bison is delicious.) I sit at the bar and am usually greeted by Sabrina who is very friendly and attentive. The bar is double sided so there's usually a place to sit which is nice! read more

Don't bother sitting at the bar because the white girl with the tattoos on both of her arms obviously has an issue serving people that don't look like her. I met my white friend and his son up there one day and we both kinda noticed it but hey it was football season so I thought I'd give another try. I returned with my black wife and she was just all the way nasty me and my wife were both appalled we got up and moved and got a black server who was sweet. Now I don't care if you dont like other races or not quite frankly I couldn't care less however if your just going to be a bigot and just all around nasty you should just try and get a job at your local biker bar where the skinheads and other groups hang out just saying. Anyway no need to let the manager know as I've seen other people on here complain about the same issue as well I would just personally never come back. Hope you take the note of the review seriously before your company takes it down. Only gave this one star just so I could write my review. Came in with my family Saturday before the OSU game and my Male server believe his name was Dustin seemed quite intoxicated. We could smell liquor on his breath and he was slow,forgetful, slurring of words, completely unprofessional. I would never go to an establishment that allows the staff to work in this kind of state let alone be employed.
