First time definitely better than most recent visit. Service was on point, food not so much. My cheesesteak was soggy like the bread wasn't left on the grill long enough to golden brown...the innards weren't melted, barely luke warm & the sweet potato fries wouldn't know sweet without the added powdered sugar. I was a regular at the previous business that was on this location named Gordy's. My friends, family and I have been anxiously wanting for the new Harry Buffalo to open. How perfect that it opened right at the same time as my father and sisters birthdays! I went in right after work at 4:30 pm to check it out and see if it was kid friendly and if they took reservations. The hostess and manager were very helpful and welcoming. The place was already hopping full of patrons. It was very kid friendly and they did confirm they don't take reservations or call aheads but he assured me he would get our party of 12 seated very quickly. First Impression when walking in....WOW. They totally remodeled the joint. I was blown away. More seating, better flow, extended bar, hostess that seats you. It is no longer a sports bar with food....its a restaurant whew you would be comfortable taking your kids and watch your favorite sports team at the same time! There is this cool like nook when you walk in that has gaming systems and comfy seats for the little kids (or big kids), to play while you wait or all night if you want! It's so cool! My large party got there around 6:30 and we were seated within 15 minutes. The group of hostesses were very cute and so friendly. Our waitress Ally came right away and was full of smiles and energy. Our drinks came out in good time for a large group. Ally was on it. She constantly checked on us. Not only did she check on us but other wait staff and runners continued to check on us through the entire time we were there. The Food: Can you say DELICIOUS. There was not one thing that we tried that was not good! Here is what we got: Appetizers - Buffalo Chicken Dip. Pita Nachos. Loaded Potato Soup. BBQ Pork Potato Skins. Dinners - Cheese Pizza. Garlic Cheese Bread. Santa Fe Bowl (GF). Thai Bowl (GF). Rib Dinner. Garlic Shrimp Pasta. Garlic Parmesan Boneless Chicken wings. Various build your own burgers. Can I just tell you that ALL 12 people in our party did not have ONE complaint about the food. All you heard was "Oh My God this is so good" and "Delicious". Not only is the food good but the prices are so cheap! You can totally take your family and it's so affordable! The Drinks/Cocktails: They have a cool menu with a beer, shot, drink and pitcher of the month special. I got the Harry Buffalo mixed drink pitcher. It was really tasty but I'll be honest not worth the $15, but I like things a little strong. The Hair of the Dog pitcher was not my cup of tea but everyone else loved it! We got Little Beer shots and they were made perfectly! Their shot of the month for February was just ok. I wasn't a fan. The drinks came out quickly which is usually what you wait long for at a restaurant. My hats off to the bar. As a fellow bartender they did a great job with the drinks. One of the owners Lee came over when he could see we were almost done eating at the perfect time to not interrupt our meal. He was so friendly and talked to us for a while about the process and the changes that are still to come for the outside and banquet room that they haven't even had a chance to work on yet. My first experience here. This is a great place to go to enjoy music. It seemed well kept mostly. There seemed to be a lot of couples. It is really really busy though. Servers seemed to roam around not know what they were doing and as the restaurant emptied it was very obvious. Drinks took forever even though the bar was not full. I wasn't sure if this was the server or bar being slow. I would have bought more, but the service was too slow. The kitchen seems unequipped to handle the volume of people during these occasions as it took about an hour and half just to get our food even though volume was slowing and it was toward the end of the night. The food arrived and it was only ok. I got a wrap and stadium fries. The fries were a waste of money as the picture on the menu shows this huge plate of fries for it arrive and only be a very small plate was a shocker for like 7-9 bucks and it tasted horrible. The wrap was better and decently priced. Beers are 5 and mixed drinks around 8 or 9 bucks. I was also disappointed that their website does not tell you to expect a cover charge upon arrival. I felt that was a little false advertising. Overall. I would go back for a band that I liked. I just would probably eat elsewhere. read more

We have been here 3-4 times now. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Too bad I can not say the same for the staff. They just seem.... not to care? Very nice remodel job to the inside of this facility (used to be Gordy's). New flat screen tv's all over and open floor plan. They have a kids area with game systems as well, which is nice. The food is pretty good. The Henney Chicken is amazing, probably the best thing here! Burgers are good too. The other items are good but nothing to write home about. The only other complaint I have is that food seems to take forever to get to table. Besides that it is a nice place. They REALLY need a new parking lot and to do more to the outside of the building though. read more

I think I had the cajun ranch wings. They were super good. A buddy and I ordered to go and sat in the parking lot and ate (socially distancing). I also went when Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury fought the second time and there were a few beer reps in giving out free swag. Finally gave this restaurant a shot sadly it did not deliver. Granted, we ordered takeout, so the atmosphere inside and the people are probably more of a reason to visit this place over the food. There food was interesting because it was the bad version of everything you'd think would be good for a wings place. For example, the buffalo chicken dip had too many other ingredients that made it very bland, plus bell peppers so it missed the mark on the buffalo flavor. I guess I expected a hotter dip... something I'd want to add ranch to. Similarly, I ordered the parmesan garlic boneless wings. Other items on the menu mentioned if they were dry rub, so I expected a creamy parmesan sauce. Well it was not. It was a dry rub and it tasted like garlic salt with sprinkles of parmesan. I even ordered mac and cheese and it was totally bland, no flavor! I don't know, maybe it was the chef that evening, but what a disappointing food experience. :/ We'll give this place another shot because of the good things we've heard. read more

Ugh. I wanted to like this place, as it's conveniently located near my place. The first time we went in we were greeted with "the kitchens closed do you still want a table?" Umm nope, okay bye. We decided to go back and it was a mess. I know it's a bar but they had the Cavs game blaring, AND Trivia simultaneously going. So randomly some guy would blare questions into a microphone. The shrimp appetizer was recommended by our waitress, frozen popcorn shrimp dunked in some kind of sauce, served on lettuce. Not good. I had the henny chicken and my boyfriend had a bison burger. Good morning, myself and about 15-20 Gahanna Lincoln parents/families came to HB to pre-game before our game against Westerville Central last night 10/07/22. Granted when we arrived, we told the host we would have about 14-15 people. Unbeknownst to us, more people came to pre-game than we anticipated. We asked our server if we could add tables ( around this time it was still sort of empty). We were told "no problem" As more people came, a man-who I am going to assume was a manager-came over by us (but not close enough to actually have a conversation with us) and yelled about adding people. He had a full beard and kind of tall. It was so rude and unprofessional the way he yelled and stormed off in a huff. Had he come over in an adult and professional manner and spoke to us, I wouldn't be writing this review. I sent this same letter in an email, but I see G Paugh is the manager I'm speaking of. Complaints go to him, so I'm writing this review. I thought at first to post on Facebook, but wanted to not shame an establishment that we've pre-gamed at before for the act of one employee. What saved the night was our server. He was gracious, professional, kind and understanding. He was given tips on top of his tips. My suggestion is to speak with the gentleman with the beard about customer service and how it goes a long way in this world of crazy. I also get being frustrated. Was here last time over 5 years ago, took an hour and a half and still no food left after paying over $80 for no food. Literally paid the bill for the food and nothing after an hour and a half. Thought we would give it another try since it has been so long and I know one bad experience does not encompass the restaurant. This time service was GREAT, food we ordered was GREAT until I ordered their 9 piece chicken meal to go. 3 breast, 3 thighs, 3 wings, 6 Jo-Jos for $30, was SOO excited for this for dinner to feed the kiddos. Look at the quality, the 3 thighs are no bigger than a side sauce container and MUCH smaller than the Jo-Jos, same with the wing size. Breast were decent size. Very disappointed, I could have just went to KFC or Popeyes & gotten a 12 piece for the same price. The thighs are basically wings so small. Look at the pics no bigger than the sauce container, have no issue paying for products AT ALL but seriously. Basically I got 6 small "wings" & 3 medium sized breasts. Needless to say I have to run back out for food to feed all the kids after a $30 chicken bucket. Don't get the chicken bucket just go to a fast food place. read more

Boyfriend and I joined another large group of 10+ friends on the patio on Friday night. Our waitress was Jasmine. She had a great personality and tried to stay attentive to all the tables but it was a busy night. We ordered drinks which I had a Strawberry Lemonade Margarita....absolutely scrumptious!! Boyfriend ordered a Strong Island Iced Tea which really held up to its name. The band that was there had great music but the singing not so much so we sang to some of the songs at our table to drown them out. One of our friends ordered the bourbon chicken with steamed veggies and rice. She tried one bite and said it was like shoe leather it was so dry from being overcooked. She returned it and asked for a cheeseburger in it's place. She asked for her burger rare. I asked for mushroom burger medium and boyfriend asked for his medium as well. When our food was brought out we saw a girl wandering around trying to figure out where the food went to. It took a bit to get her attention but we finally received our food. The friend bit in to her burger and it was medium. Mine was almost well done and my BF the same as mine but when he received the bill it said his was a bison burger which he did not ask for and was charged $4 more. We also ordered the appetizer boom boom shrimp which was really tasty however we were not brought forks and could not find our waitress so we had to eat them with straws from our drinks by stabbing them or using like limp chopsticks. Another person at the table asked for mustard for her burger. Hers was cold by the time she finally received the mustard. It is a nice facility with a large patio and even a stage for band. Restrooms are always clean however either service is hit or miss or issues with food. I know we will be back since our classmates like to come out and sit on the patio and listen to bands. Harry Buffalo is our go-to place in Westerville, it is our "Cheers". The owner (Lee) and manager (Greg) care about the customers. The servers and bartenders (Jen, Sarah, Drew, Sabrina, Allie, Dustin, Tyler, Kelly) are fun, attentive and always welcoming. The food is really good too. My husband and I get the Henny Chicken often, and the wings are great and so is the bbq Santa Fe chicken salad. The atmosphere is great, you can sit on patio and hear bands or be inside .... they play good music and sometimes have live music inside. I highly recommend HBs! You won't be disappointed! read more

We go here after every Columbus Eagles FC home game. They have a fairly large parking lot. We usually get seated right away. They have booths, tables, and the bar for seating options. The booths each have an individual TV for the table. They are usually playing the more popular sports games/events on TV. Might have to make a request if you want women's sports or something different. They have a rotating list of craft beers, ciders, and whiskeys, including some local craft breweries on the list. Always very good. For food, I've only every tried "The Classic", which is breaded chicken tenders on a sandwich with slaw, pickles, and sauce. The sandwich is very good and it comes with seasoned fries, which are crispy and delicious. Service has always been fairly efficient and friendly. Only downsides are that it can get noisy and sometimes the customers are annoying. Overall good experience. read more

So a friend and I wanted to check out Harry Buffalo for lunch and we are avid bargain hunters for a great deal. With that being said, we each grabbed our Valpak coupons and went to Harry Buffalo. Seating was very easy. They have a sign posted to seat yourself. Plenty of seating was available during the prime of lunch which was great. Our server was on top of things and greeted us in a prompt manner. She was diligent in getting our beverages and took our appetizer order and it soon arrived. Afterwards our lunch came and was beautifully presented, hot, fresh and of ample portions. We both enjoyed our lunch and the level of service that was provided. Refills came at a great pace. When it came time to check out is when this review went from 4 stars to 2 stars. I'll admit this is my own fault for not reading the fine print on the coupon, but it states that only one coupon could be redeemed per table. My issue with this is that this seems to be the only place that has this restriction on its coupons. I get that any business can honor a coupon or not but in today's fierce, competitive world, your coupons should be customer focused and allow anyone with a separate check to use a coupon. Therefore, I have chosen to not return to this establishment until I see them shift their focus from restricting tables to only restricting individual checks. read more

I came Saturday night to see North to Nashville. The service team,managers and owners went above and beyond to handle the crowd that follows this Band while keeping up with all of the Coivd-19 restrictions that our placed on establishments. We were able to dine inside and once a table freed up outside we were able to watch the last set of the band. Great time had by all!!! read more

Harry Buffalo open up the back patio for a live band and went out of their way to make our experience worth while! The place was packed by 6:30 when we arrived with a party of 8. We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the band but they couldn't find any seating for us. We were able to eat inside and enjoy a couple of cocktails while we waited on the exterior reservation to become available. The food was delicious, my favorite was the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese and the Bang Bang Shrimp. The staff was very busy but they made sure we had great service as the owner and manager stopped by and checked in with us time to time! On Friday night, June 5, 2020, we were meeting some friends at Hairy Buffalo in Westerville to enjoy music and dinner. As soon as we arrived, we noticed a number of employees that were serving as bouncer/enforcer to ensure that people stayed in their seats and abided by social distancing guidelines. We had a group of about 20 people at four separate tables abiding by social distancing guidelines. As the evening went on, we watched these enforcers confront many people. People were not allowed to stop and talk to anyone just to say hello other than those at their own table. Whenever someone stopped to say something to another table, these guards were right there demanding that they return to their own table. The enforcement was very "gestapo-like" and lacked any "common sense". Again, this was an outdoor family venue and did not warrant the same treatment that one would see with 20-30 year olds at a club. Towards the end of the evening, I stood up at my table in front of my chair and was stretching my back. I had been sitting for 3-4 hours and needed to stretch. The enforcer then confronted me and told me to sit down. (He did not ask, he told me to sit.) I explained my situation regarding stretching my back. He then told me to either sit down or I would have to leave. I asked him to get me a high rise chair from another table and he told me to get it myself. (However, moving chairs was also not allowed!) I then asked him if he wanted me to pay my check before I left the restaurant? He responded with "The governor said that if you are too old or disabled to abide by THE LAW, then stay home!" I happen to be a senior citizen over 65 and I do not believe that the "law" states what the enforcer was saying. I am pretty sure that the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations would also be compromised! In any event, we eventually paid our check and left the premises. My point in all of this is that "common sense" did not prevail and the enforcers appeared to be on a power trip and the manager on-site was also not receptive to the situation. This was not a twenty-something club, but a suburban restaurant in Westerville, Ohio! This situation could have been avoided by restaurant personnel using common courtesy and not being on a power trip! All of the "security" personnel need to have additional training on people skills in this environment. We will also be sure to let our friends know about this rude and unfriendly "gestapo" environment and look for another meeting place in the future. read more

Let me start by saying our food was good and service was as well. Disappointing experience with the manager Greg. We had one of their coupons from valuepak on my phone for a free appetizer that I added to my wallet and they can't scan it for the discount and he wouldn't honor it for us. Held a private surprise party event upstairs. The hostess was charged 100 extra dollars for cleanup when in fact the place was filthy to start with. spider eggs in the corners of the windows spiderwebs everywhere floor had not been vacuumed prior to even setting the event up. food was brought up and dropped off and no one ever came back up to ask if we needed more salad dressing or there's anything else we needed we just brought up and dropped off. had a lot of hassle just trying to get the room. I will still go there for bands but I will never book another event there. management did not seem to care. read more

Had lunch here today. Six of us, including a two year old and a five year old. First impression walking in-WOW! So much cleaner and nicer than when it was Gordy's! Very impressive. Love the garage doors that can be opened in the summer. Big menu. Lots of choices. We went with a variety of burgers. All were tasty. But my son in law and i both requested medium and they were closer to well. Fries are some of the best I've had in a long time. Nice kids menu.. Service right now is not awesome. Very friendly but I think the wait staff needs to become more familiar with the menu. Our waitress was not familiar with what burgers came with cheese, what sides were available, etc. There was a lot of confusion with the bill also. We had a coupon for free appetizer which we were charged for and no one seemed to know how to take it off the bill, All in all we had a good time and a good meal and i do understand that they have just opened so no biggie on the minor glitches.Very nice to find a local kid friendly place with a great menu. First time visiting here and it we won't be back. The experience was a let down from start to finish. The greeter had an issue with our large group seating at two tables but never really explained why. She just had a bad attitude from the start. After eventually getting a waiter who managed to take some, but not all orders - I had to yell as he walked away without taking my order. I ordered boneless and half of them were undercooked! Nothing worse than uncooked chicken. Oh well, got to try new places. We just won't be back. read more
