I called again on July 2nd to ask them to please send in the correct prescription to my pharmacy, they still have not, nor have they followed up with me like they said they were going to. It's now over 2 weeks trying to get them to fix an error they made and I am growing increasingly frustrated, as we are going into a holiday weekend and I still don't have the prescription I NEED.

It is already hard enough to find good medical/dental providers that are honest and practice their craft safely. I agree the checkin process is quick and easy, you can fill out new patient forms online. My X-rays and services needed were explained during my first visit. I signed two treatment plans for me and my daughter and scheduled follow up appointments to start getting our dental work completed. However today when I arrived at the office and paid about $350 it was not for what I was originally quoted. $204 was supposed to be for a cleaning and two upper fillings on my left and right. I was told I was only scheduled for one so I was very much confused about what I had just paid for. I had to show the treatment plan I signed and was told that is not what is in my chart. Okay thank you for reviewing the information. After having mine and my daughter's work done I am then told our prices have changed because they were using an outdated fee schedule....which I was asked to sign the new ones. These were not small price adjustments like $20/$30 the quotes were off by $70-$150. That doesn't make any sense that you cannot even provide me the correct quote so how do I even trust that this "new" fee schedule is correct. I have never had this happen. If anything I'm usually paying over and ending up with a credit. It would have been better to show me the different fee schedules and how my treatment plans were calculated wrong versus showing me to different plans with very different amounts. If you go here I would definitely have them double check your quotes and billing.

Unfortunately, I have a similar story to several recent reviews here. After moving, I decided to go to the closest dentist to me. I did not look at the reviews before going (won't make that mistake again!!) I want to stress that before this, I had not been to the dentist for three years. I expected some type of work (cavities etc) would need to be done. However, I take decent care of my teeth and had NEVER had a cavity or any type of dental work - besides wisdom teeth - done before this. Everyone was very very friendly, check in didn't take long, and overall very nice initial experience. Once in the room though, I waited for about 25 mins for things to get going. Once they started, they informed me that I had stage 2 periodontal disease, and that it was completely irreversible as I had 15% bone loss. They also informed me that I had 7 cavities that would need to be filled, along with several more that were on a watch list. I was shocked to say the least, and asked what I could do for it. They said I would need a deep cleaning, and asked if I wanted to do it today. At this point I was two hours into my appointment and hadn't had a cleaning or anything, so I told them I would need to discuss with the front and schedule it out. It was around $1700 worth of things that they said I needed to get one, and I was super panicked. I decided to get a second opinion before I committed to this, and went to see my previous dentist today. I requested my x rays from here, but never received them, so my other office ended up having to redo them. I do have a couple of cavities (not near what they said) but ZERO gum disease. Not even gingivitis. Here, my gum pockets were supposedly ranging from 4-6 mm, but at that dentist they were at a 2-3. I see some people love it here and that's great, but I will definitely not be coming back and just want to caution others, as this seems to be an issue in the last 3-4 months here.

Unfortunately, I've had some bad experiences with Dentisits. When I finally decided to take action I took a look at the reviews on Yelp and decided to give La Frontera Dental a shot. On my first visit I made it known that I was nervous but unfortunately, their block lost power before I could be seen by the Doctor and I thought... just my luck lol. They were able to get me rescheduled a few days later and I'm so thankful that I got paired with his dental assistant, Melanie. She listened to my concerns, assured me that I was at the right place, eased my anxiety and told me that they'd help me. She made me feel so comfortable which is exactly what I needed in that moment. When I was seen by Dr. Satish he assured me that we'd come up with a plan to get me feeling better. I received a plan of action which I could alter depending on my availability of funds (dental work is not cheap!). I've already been back for step one which were filings and that appointment went well. I already have my second procedure scheduled. I think I'll request Melanie to assist with any of my future visits because she just made me feel so comforted. But honestly everyone I've encountered there from the front desk staff to Dr. Satish himself have been very welcoming and extremely friendly. During check-in, I signed the standard, routine forms, including their policy on no-show fees--which is completely standard and understandable. However, the situation took a frustrating turn when the front desk staff member went out of their way to tell me that if I missed an appointment, they would "notify the VA." The comment felt incredibly childish, unnecessary, and threatening. When I asked if they would notify Tricare Dental if I were using that insurance, or if they threaten their non-military and non-veteran patients with the same kind of reporting, it became clear how single-out this treatment was. Signing a financial policy is one thing, but being spoken to like a child who needs to be reported to an authority figure is entirely different. It felt deeply demeaning and left me with the distinct impression that veterans are treated like second-class citizens here. The clinical care may be fine, but the front desk approach to community care patients needs a serious lesson in respect and customer service.

I got a crown put in back in November 2024 and they made the experience as smooth as possible. I have some trauma from a previous dental experience that resulted in immense pain on the same tooth that they were working on. As a result, during my visit, my anxiety and fear were at an all time high. Both Rachel and Dr. Kondoff were really kind and did everything -and then some- they could to help me manage my anxiety and I'm forever grateful. This week, months later, I actually had some pain again for that same tooth which thankfully only ended up being a simple bite issue. Again, my anxiety was ridiculous but Rachel and this time a new doctor (I didn't catch her name!) made me feel comfortable and taken care of. I've never left a review for a dental office before but I have to say that the team at this office really do care about their patients. I highly recommend!
