After 10 visits over 2 years, Harry's has firmly become my favorite place on Alki Beach for breakfast, brunch/lunch. From the shabby-chic-cottage decor, to the fantastic trend-forward music, fun staff, heated cabaña-patio seating, Sound views and brunch specialties - Harry's has yet to let me down. I typically only find haunts like this in Southern California (Malibu, Santa Monica, and Santa Barbara), so to have access to such a place in my birth city is absolutely refreshing. Had a pleasant lunch here a few days ago. Very nice setting in the area with the glass ceiling. Server was pleasant and professional. Only complaint was what we were told about the crab roll and what we received was totally different. Was told this was served warm. Expected lumps of crab meat. The reality is this is essentially a crab salad on a roll, served cold. Wasn't bad, just totally different that what we expected. I would have ordered something different if I knew this is how it came. They did a wonderful job of service recovery by providing a complimentary dessert that was shared by the table. read more

Beautiful spot with nice patio with heaters. They also provide cozy blankets if you are still chilled. Looks like it would have a nice water view in the daytime but we were there for a PNW dark dinner. The service was friendly and our waiter was helpful with advice. Had fried oysters with a nice light batter. Fries were delicious with the added herbs. Black cod had a nice crispy skin but was not overcooked. We slurped up all the broth. Could have used some bread with it. Delicata squash also great. We did not expect it to be fried but loved every bite. Prices were average. read more

Loved our lunch here, and while it is a little on the pricey side the portions and quality justify it! The service was kind and reasonable in timing -- not super fast, but not too long either. I didn't get pictures of our food because we ate everything so quickly, but we ordered the Cod and Chips, the asparagus bisque, a grilled albacore salad, and a beet salad. All the portions were hearty, meals were flavourful, and well-prepared. The Cod for the fish and chips was two large battered fillets, and the grilled albacore salad had about a palm's worth of fresh tuna with a nice sesame crumb. The interior is very appropriately described as a beach house, with beautiful paintings, ornate light fixtures, plants, and just a very cohesive, cozy look. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and no reservations required. Strongly recommend if you're visiting Alki beach! read more

Although Harry's comes up as having vegan options, I would struggle to even find a worthy vegetarian choice. We try to support our local restaurants on Alki because we know their business can be seasonal and they rely on the locals to carry them through the winter, but after many attempts, I can not recommend Harry's for anything more than expensive cocktails. There dinner and brunch menus have no specific vegan options and nothing that could reasonably be modified to be made vegan. I will happily change my review if they update their menu. read more

Imagine eating the very best blueberry pancake you've ever had? No need to actually imagine, you just need to try the pancakes here at Harry's. Absolutely fantastic spot for brunch on Alki. Views of the water, great food and great service. Came here for brunch and really enjoyed our time at this spot. I split the heirloom tartine special as a starter with my partner and had the salmon burger for brunch, and she got the Niçoise salad. The burger was great though I wish they had removed the salmon skin. The toppings were a nice slaw and some pickles. Fries were good but nothing to write home about. The tartine was fantastic and the heirloom tomatoes were absolutely delicious. My partner didn't love the Niçoise salad but said it was okay. Food was pretty good. I am a picky eater. Especially with breakfast and the server did acquiesce to what I wanted Ambiance is definitely beachy, but with class. Overall I'd definitely recommend. My only caveat is parking. It's hard to get something because Alki is extremely dense especially on a sunny weekend day. read more

My aunt and uncle wanted to take me and my family to lunch/dinner before I flew home. They chose this restaurant which is near the waterfront. Because it was busy on Sunday, my uncle had to let us out while he looked for a parking spot. (Eventually he found a spot that was a short walking distance from the restaurant. The only option is street parking for the restaurant from what I could see.) My aunt confirmed with the hostess that there was a table that could seat all of us. There was a moment where one of the managers did check with the hostess to make sure, but they seated us very quickly inside. The restaurant looks kind of like a small bungalow/beach front house that was converted into a restaurant. (The fireplace was converted into a quirky decorative wall.) It has a mix of vintage and unique decorations inside, from the plates to the fixtures for lighting. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable throughout the meal. She mentioned that at this time, the menu didn't have any seasonal specials as they were changing over due to the seasons, but she shared the soup and catch of the day. My family ordered the fish and chips, my uncle got a salad, and my aunt got the clams and fries. Food came after 12-15 minutes. Portions were a good size - they give you a decent amount for the price listed. The fish was hot and fresh - breading wasn't heavy or salty. Fries were well seasoned. We did partake in dessert in the form of ice cream. Consistency was smooth and the ice cream was flavorful. There was a moment where we were looking around for our waitress for the bill and dessert, but I wonder if the restaurant was short staffed. (Plus business was starting to pick up at the restaurant for dinner.) Eventually we did find her and paid for the food - this is one of the restaurants where they bring the card reader to the table so you can insert your card and pay right there. Definitely a great option to enjoy if you want some good seasonal food by the water. Be on the lookout for parking and be careful driving - some of the side streets are narrow to navigate down. read more

First off, I love how everything they sell from drinks to food is intentional. The people who work there know where it's from and what everything is which seems like they know their stuff. This may be one of my new favorite Sunday brunch spots! I stopped in with a friend this afternoon (I know it's Monday but it's technically our Sunday) and we really enjoyed our time there. We made a reservation for two at 1 pm and while it wasn't crazy busy at that time, it did fill up by the time we left. Parking is Alki parking so either the street on the main drag or in the neighborhood surrounding Harry's but it really wasn't difficult to find a spot. NOW for important part; the food! We ordered a little of everything to share and ended up with the oysters, clams, sourdough, and crab roll. I really loved everything except the crab roll, it was a little underwhelming and just not as flavorful as I was expecting. Special shoutout to the sourdough because that honey butter situation blew my mind. We also had a couple of drinks, the Bloody Mary and the rosé sangria and both were delicious! All the staff were very nice from the hosts to our waiter and the general vibe was very fun and beachy! I'm already looking forward to my next trip here. read more

We went for brunch this last weekend and had a marvelous experience. The décor has a great vibe. I would sit outside for a better view next time, but being our first time at Harry's, I was not sure of the layout. Rosie was our server and she was the epidemy of non-intrusive, genuinely sincere server. Her recommendation of the French Sauvignon Blanc could not have been more accurate. My wife had the Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup and I had the Schnitzel. Both were incredibly tasty. My only recommendation would be that the host needs to simply be more welcoming and gracious when leaving. He just looked at his tablet when we arrived and never said a word except, "bye bye" when we left. Hospitality. That is the key. We will be back again, as Rosie and the food made it a perfect experience. read more

The service is here is amazing. Attentive and knowledgeable while creating an unhurried experience. In a busy Friday night seating, I was impressed at how the atmosphere was maintained. I enjoyed the menu. Not having amazing access to seafood I gravitate to oysters easily. I had their grilled interpretation and was satisfied. I think there is opportunity to be a bit more expressive with the dish though. I found myself wishing I could add to the experience. Their crab salad was fresh and had an interesting and fun combination of mild zing to buttery happiness. It felt hearty and was a great portion. I tend to enjoy cocktails that either present the spirit or highlight an ingredient. This is where the cocktail menu was for a different more sweet-centric palate. I didn't finish my first drink and errored on a martini which was satisfying. All in all this is a solid choice if you have a special occasion and the venue is important. I'd give this 3.5 but the staff made the rounding up an easy choice. read more

Harry's is such a cute spot and has a fun menu. I ordered the artichoke hearts as well as the risotto with wild mushrooms. Both tasted great, tho the mushrooms were hard, so they must have been either old and dry or not cooked enough. Sadly this really affected the dish which otherwise tasted great. I've never thought about adding corn to risotto and it adds a really nice flavor and texture Our server was amazing and I'll definitely try out Harry's again. The VERY SMALL SEAFOOD portions were disappointing. My husband and I paid $26 for a dish with 5 very small oysters and a very small salad; and over $30 for a small Cesar salad with about 4 oz of salmon on top. Left still hungry. Next time we will go to Dukes or Arnie's, where the seafood is just as good, and the seafood portion are much better. Our suggestions for the owners/managers would be to increase the size of the seafood on your oyster/salad plate and Cesar salad/grilled salmon on top plate. Just met some friends for drinks and appetizers at Harry's. The service was excellent and the atmosphere on the covered patio was relaxed. Unfortunately, the food was just so-so. We had the clam chowder, which people seemed to like. The salmon on the salmon Caesar salad was extremely overcooked. The bruschetta was served on really thick spongy bread, which you had to cut with a steak knife. We did not care for it, preferring crispy bread that you can eat without a knife.
