First-The restaurant is gorgeous in a very unpretentious way. A friend and I stumbled across Harry's after a walk on Alki. We pulled up to the bar for a post walk boozy brunch. The staff were all extremely friendly and knowledgable. We both had delicious cocktails and the burger! Soft toasted bun, crisp bacon...fantastic! Fries outstanding! Tartar sauce made me want to try their fish and chips. I've been back twice. Both times same excellent food and experience. The last time I was just dropping in on friends and couldn't stay long and ordered toast & hot water with lemon. Out comes a gorgeous ornate silver tea pot, the most perfect toast and incredibly delicious jam & butter. I love it here. I'm a convert. Highly recommend. On a recent trip to Seattle, a friend took me here for lunch. She made a reservation and asked for seats in the newly renovated atrium. When we arrived, just after they opened, we were the third party in the restaurant. The atrium was really cute. It had a glass chandelier, great decor, and a view of Alki Beach. Our waiter brought us some water and we both decided to order the quiche (daily special was spinach, mushroom and goat cheese) along with a cup of clam chowder. Being that the restaurant was kind of empty, it took a while for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the chowder was tepid at best and quiche was ice cold. I flagged the waiter down and as he took away our plates, he made a comment about the oven not being set correctly, which I thought was a bit odd. To me, it seemed as if our food may have been waiting a while to get picked up. Nevertheless, our food returned shortly thereafter piping hot. The chowder was delicious, definitely one of the tastiest I've had in Seattle. I found the quiche to be lacking in flavor and then noticed that there were no salt or pepper shakers on any of the tables, which I also thought was a bit odd. After we had finished eating, the waiter asked my friend if she wanted a box for her quiche. When he returned with the box, he did not clear our dishes or ask if we were ready for our check. I had to flag him down to ask for it. I noticed they added a $3 service fee to the bill, not quite sure what that was about, as the food was already a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area and there were issues with our food. I guess it's for the beach view? Overall, this was a decent meal, but I just don't get what all the hype is about. read more

First time guest, now a forever fan. From the moment I entered to the time we exited, I was blown away by the service. You can tell when people like their job, and everyone I saw walking to my table seemed to really enjoy being there. Our waitress was fantastic. I don't remember her name, but she was a delight. Excellent food and atmosphere. Brunch: They have a nice bowl with vegetables, but it's got a lot of heat and they don't offer a plant-based protein only egg. The cornmeal pancakes are excellent. But again, if you're all plant based, it's tough to find something that really satisfies. We had good service. The room in the back that's like a big glass room gets kind of noisy. My boyfriend and I wanted calamari so we decided to check this place out. The hostess was unfriendly. Our waiter's body language was so poor, they gave us the wrong happy hour menus so we couldn't get calamari. And gave us tap water, like wtf? They gave us the option to get bottled sparkling water for an up charge as a replacement for clean filtered water. We ordered fish and chips to share and the plate only came with one piece of fish LOL. They added a service charge for what? We paid $31 tip included for fish and chips. Great meal sat evening for a birthday. Service was just fantastic from drinks to checking on us to fussing with blinds when the sun was setting. The drinks were a highlight. Frozen mai tai was really special. We'd had a frozen apple cider last fall or so and knew their frozen drinks are good. I had a gin drink that was pure alchemy. We had oysters, bread, pork, chicken (cut with a spoon it was so tender), Caesar, and the cabbage. The salad and cabbage were amazing. Cabbage had a garlicky sauce that was great. Growing up in west Seattle, it was unique to come back to what once was Tullys coffee that is now Harry's beach house. I might catch flack from some locals for saying this, but I really enjoy what they have done with this building. It's beautiful inside and out. I recently went to Harry's Beach House during happy hour. We chose outside seating and the ambiance was really nice, with views of the beach and perfect amount of sunshine. The staff were super friendly and very prompt and attentive the entire time. I had a Harry's G&T which was very refreshing. We got the caesar salad, the fish sandwich and clam chowder. We also tried a couple of oysters on a half shell. The caesar salad was okay but all the other food was very fresh and tasty. The prices are a bit on the higher side so going during happy hour was a good idea. Went to Harry's for brunch. The portions are surprisingly small for breakfast, so don't go if you're really hungry. I ordered the steak and eggs, and the steak was maybe 5 ounces at most and came out overdone. I ate it anyway because I was starving, but it definitely wasn't worth the price. That said, the burger at the table next to us looked great--probably the best option on the menu. We hadn't made it to the beach this summer and with the water taxi, getting to Alki beach is not that difficult. With a patio view, and some wind, we sat down for a great meal. I did a dozen oysters, of which my daughter took one. My daughter had the burger, which was excellent and definitely enough for two. My wife got the BLT with a salad. The food was delicious, the service was warm, attentive and it was fun to see the servers interact with the woman celebrating a birthday during retirement. I had a friend visiting in town from Portland and he had been around the touristy parts of Seattle. He has never visited West Seattle, so I took him all over the place including Alki. As we walked around Alki we decided to check out Harry's Beach House. We had to wait a little for seating even though there were quite a bit of seats already opened. Perhaps they didn't have enough staff? No worries though, we eventually got seated in the semi-outdoor patio. Our servers were friendly, and we got our meals quickly. I had ordered the Harry's breakfast platter. Nothing crazy about it, got some eggs, toast, potatoes, avocados, and spreads. Toast was really good though. It was an average plate, but I would probably get something else. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy and said it was really good. I may come back here again and would try something different. We had a fantastic experience at Harry's! My friends and I wandered in after an afternoon at Alki beach. They easily accommodated our request to sit on their patio to enjoy the nice weather. Service was above and beyond. The wait staff were incredibly pleasant and very present and observant, constantly refilling our waters and checking on us. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The decor is upscale "beach" themed but really tasteful. The lighting on a sunny day is beautiful. Oysters were delicious. One of the best cups of clam chowder I've ever had. Our server was exceptional! She checked on us at all the correct times. The food was terrific as always. I ordered a cup of clam chowder as a starter. We each had a spoonful. My dad was the last, and he finished the cup! My parents (76 and 83) ordered the Fish and Chips and left their plates clean except for a few yummy fries. My daughter had her usual Grilled Cheese (avocado and bacon) with tomato soup. The Kale salad with prawns was fresh and filling. Next time, I think I might try the salmon or chicken with the salad. I was sad not to see the fried oysters! Love raw oysters, but being from Charleston, a fried oyster is an indulgence. Always on the menu in Charleston, and so good. Yours are the best. This is a very cute and approachable joint on the Alki Beach. With amazing views of the water, this spot also offers lovely service and tasty food. For the table we ordered the Beans, Garden Salad, Grilled Sourdough, King Salmon, Harissa Oysters, French Fries and the chocolate cake. While I wasn't a fan of the salad, the rest of our dishes were well cooked, flavorful and excellent shareables. Our server, JJ, was very personable, prompt and also gave us honest and authentic answers when we asked for preferences and recommendations. When it got a bit chilly at sun down, they also offered those on the patio cozy blankets! Can't beat that hospitality. Will absolutely  be coming back when I am in town. read more

Was on vacay in Washington for 2 weeks and it's obvious what my favorite place was haha. Harry's is super cute and located on alki beach. Seriously the cutest at sunset. I travel with my dog and every single waitresses/waiter I had welcomed the both of us and brought her water. Every single thing I ate was delicious. The Tagliatelle alle Vongole and the clam chowder are two things I could eat all the time and never get sick of. The crab roll was my least favorite but that's because I'm not a huge celery person. But it still had good flavor. One of the days there was a special menu item. I forget what it was called but it was essentially egg salad with caviar and pickled radishes and omg was it delicious!! Came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I got there at noon and it was very busy, but only had about a 20 minute wait for a table outside. I had the Caesar salad with salmon, which was awesome. Great dressing, the croutons were perfect, and the salmon was amazing. Also had a crab pan and salad that was just as good. I did like the Caesar salad better. Our server was very friendly and made our experience better. Food was delicious, but par for the course in trendy city food menus, they had to add some "flare" to breakfast classics. Haha... There are those rare moments when the intersection of food, service and the setting creates something extraordinary. It was brilliant and one of the best dining experiences I have had in Seattle area with the focus being exceptional food. Last night (10 June), we were welcomed and delighted by JJ who we instantly connected with offerings suggestions and guiding us even though we had already zeroed in on a few items. He offered a great choice in a Pinot Noir that was a perfect complement to dinner. The experience was perfect and made magical by JJ. I was lucky to be joined by my friend, the diva foodie of Seattle who has many times shared the gems of Seattle. Tonight, she delivered. We started with Washington oysters that were fresh and flavorful. A sampling of six different oysters laid out from sweet to briney. Next, a little piece of heaven was put on our plate with bone marrow, fresh blueberry, and crusty bread. I was moved by this dish, simply exceptional. Next, we both had the halibut special that had incredible contrasts of flavor and texture highlighted by perfect grapefruit that complemented a perfectly cooked piece of fish. JJ suggested we cap the evening with the lemon tart and blueberries with some 10 year old port on the side. Great combination. The lemon tart and the blueberries were great. complemented with a nicely toasted granola and fresh whipped cream. One of the best desserts I've had this year. The restaurant gives a beach boutique feel, but the food is average with little touches of sauces and sprinkles of cheese to make it look *fancy*. Service was mid - we got checked up on a few times but some things we asked for were never delivered and even worse - when we got our bill we got an entirely different bill at first. When we got the revised bill for our table, there were extra items charged that we never received and so we had to get the bill revised a second time. We waited 45 minutes for a table on a Saturday afternoon and the experience was very underwhelming. Can't say I want to come back. read more
