Even though this is a late post, I still wanted to share my experiences. I've been to this place twice: (1) pre-dinner drinks and (2) lunch. The cocktails were decent. The staff was attentive and delightful. The food wasn't a major standout. I recommend this spot for pre-dinner drinks and the views! The ambience at Harry's was spot on. The decor and vibe of the whole restaurant was very coastal chic. Service was great and we didn't have to wait for a table at all considering it was pretty busy for a Sunday brunch. Food was good and fast. Cocktails were delicious as well. I had the bacon Benedict and frozen lemonade cocktail! Yum! Price point a little steep but considering the location being more of a tourist and destination spot I get it. on a blustery, wet weekday night this was a lovely place to seek refuge so i can only iimagine what brunch is like when it's the weekend and alki is bathed in sun. (seems to me that that scenario would require getting there on the early side!) we sat at the bar and i ordered copperworks gin because i truly love it; little did i know the people sitting next to me WERE copperworks! nice to chat with them and know they are locals who also like to dine out and enjoy good food and drink. our meal consisted of sharing the burrata as an appetizer which i think came with persimmons (?) and spiced walnuts. very tasty! next came bowls of borscht which i loved, but my friend not so much. she said it was too heavy on the vinegar and would have preferred the beets blended instead of whole. i loved it as-is but i think beets are tricky: people either love them or hate them. in general, our experience was great. the bartender took good care of us and the food was good although i did notice the borscht took quite a while to appear considering it was the main part of our meal. my one complaint is that for someone who doesn't eat meat, the menu was slim pickings. there were small plates and appetizers but in terms of main dishes, maybe one? their brunch menu may cater better to people like me but as my first time eating there, i made note to not arrive ravenous if i'm coming back in the afternoon or evening as i most likely won't be able to find a lot to choose from. what i DID eat was good and i'd go back for another bowl of borscht! read more

Good for just opening, excellent ambiance - some work on the food. The decor and warm feel of the restaurant was on point, a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The food was just a bit bland. The drinks good. Burrata: Lacked flavor, needed more acid, salt or sweet. Half the pear was chopped and had a good flavor, the other half was simply a half of pear with unsalted walnuts inside of it. Burger: it had components of greatness, but fell short. The meat was tough and lacked flavor (I think maybe overworked). The mama lil peppers and house pickles were on point. Fries: homerun, great flavor & crisp Doughnuts: disappointing. They were rock hard balls with undercooked dough inside. I think the oil for cooking may have been too hot for this batch. The menu said cinnamon and sugar doughnuts with a chocolate sauce - I pictured the kind of mini doughnuts from the market or Lola's but nope. It was a really bland cake with some powdered sugar on top. The chocolate sauce was delicious though. I don't even like chocolate sauce, and it tasted like hot chocolate. Drinks: Pink Slip & French 75 - both delicious, well balanced The food fell a little short, but the great ambiance made up for it. Oh my gosh what a find! We are visiting from Colorado and wanted to check out Alki Beach. The reviews for this place were great, so we came in for breakfast. Definitely the highlight of our trip so far! Beautiful, welcoming, cozy ambiance, thanks to the amazing decor. Truly feels like your entering someone's beautiful beach house. Great service. The entire staff is so attentive and friendly. Nice to see people actually enjoying their job! If you like Bloody Mary's, you'll love their Harry's Mary. Cornmeal Blueberry Pancakes were crispy on the outside and oh so fluffy on the inside. Pork Schnitzel was to die for, so tender and the crust, oh my! Biscuits and Gravy so flavorful and creamy. Atmosphere 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 4/5 After months of construction and being super curious about how they'd transform the former Tully's space, Harry's Beach House opened and did not disappoint! The atmosphere feels like a refined beach vibe with higher end finishings. Aesthetically it's a wonderful addition to Alki and really elevates the restaurant offerings in the area. We came for dinner and ordered the smoked mussel terrine to start, and the burger and seared coronado sea bass as our entrees. The bread that is served with the smoked mussel terrine is absolute perfection. It may seem like the serving of mussel terrine is on the smaller side (and while there may be a limited amount of actual mussels in the dish) it was a nice size for 2 of us to share and had a unique taste. The burger was good and the fries were great. The seared coronado sea bass had the perfect amount of sear to the skin and was tasty, but I do wish the serving of fish was a tad bit thicker. We chose to get seated faster and sat at the family style table. I love that they offered a family style, larger table option which will help make for a more social dinner, but also allow for more parties of 2 to get seated quickly. The bar looked beautiful, though I didnt try and cocktails and instead ordered one of the two CBD beverages they had. I'm excited to come back for brunch! Cute spot! The atmosphere is lovely, and the food was tasty as well! I got the shakshuka which was a special and not on the provided menu. I liked it! My sister got the cornmeal pancakes, I had a few bites and those were actually my favorite. They aren't too sweet and the blueberries balance out the corn taste nicely. We put our names on the 1 hr wait list. Arrived on time the hostess walked us past several available tables and attempted to sit us right by the dumpsters . We asked for a different table and she pointed at the one next to it. We finally got sat at a decent table were given two menus. We ordered drinks when we attempted to order food off menu We had been given we were told we couldn't have any food off that menu . We ordered two hamburgers, and they were overcooked, so over salted and seasoned that we could not eat them. Worse experience in Alki ever!! read more

I'm a regular and live right by Harry's Fine Foods in Capitol Hill -- one of my favorite Seattle establishments. I inadvertently realized this new Alki spot is from the same owners and my heart was FULL of joy. It's extraordinary, homey, tasty, and full of heart and warmth. I came for brunch and got the Pancakes and Schnitzel. Both blew my socks off and absolutely the choice if you want to split a savory and sweet dish with someone. The schnitzel's crunch and homemade seurkreut were to die for. The pancake was fluffy and healthy-esque. The Saturday brunch line was busy at noon, but my party of two waited 10 mins for bar seating. Honestly, one of the best gems of Seattle. Whether it's brunch or dinner, this place knocks it out of the park. First, the vibes are absolutely off the charts. The outdoor dining area is one of the best in Seattle, and is the epitome of summer. The inside is so adorable, you want to hang out there all day. And their staff is top notch. Their service is friendly and warm, and you feel like a treasured guest. On top of all of this, the food is amazing. I don't know many places I would come for a roasted chicken, but theirs is absurdly good. Highlights are the grilled sourdough, their green goddess salad, the deviled eggs, and their tagliatelle. The menu changes seasonally, or on some cadence, so it's always fun to get the chance to try their new creations. And the cocktail and mocktail menu is not to be missed. Such a creative ensemble!! I've seen reviews complaining about the price and I ... just don't get it. You go to any comparable, or even lesser than place that gets such quality ingredients, employs such an amazing staff, has waterfront views, and takes so much pride in their food creations ... I don't know what you expect? It's not your everyday night out spot, but a real treat. So grateful to have this gem in our "backyard" in west Seattle. read more

My friend and I had a very pleasant Tuesday lunch at Harry's on Alki Beach. There's a different vibe on Alki, and Harry's represents that more eclectic, Bohemian vibe in contrast to Seattle's corporate nature. I love this place - probably my favorite West Seattle hangout spot. I've never had a bad experience here. It reminds me of a place you'd find on the East Coast, maybe a chic beachside spot in Cape Cod. or the Hamptons. This also means that, in all honesty, the servers will not be nice to you unless you're cool and like to riff. If you do, they'll absolutely love you - these are some of the sweetest people I've met, they're just discerning. I'm someone who likes a little bitchiness, so I have fun at this place. The food is impeccable. The burger is the best I've ever had - I never eat burgers and save myself for Harry's whenever I want one. It's cooked to perfection, and getting it with the special fries is a perfect combination. Also, they sell Rachel's Ginger Beer - which puts all other ginger beers to shame. The ambience is perfect & they truly have an eye for design - I like the repurposing of thrifted and vintage items that could be considered kitschy and making them look chic - almost Alki Gothic in a way. read more

Been here a few times- for lunch, dinner, and brunch. The food is just okay but you come here for the view, usually as a tourist, so expect to pay a little more for okay food. I realize it's been difficult recruiting workers in the service industry post-COVID, and most of the servers we have had have been very new. Like less than 2 weeks new each time. Thats fine, I get it. A few orders missing, steak over cooked, slower service- fine. Our bill even had 2 extra drinks added that were from our neighboring table. Again, that's fine- our server was new and it was her first brunch shift. Im glad we caught it. I'll happily pay the automatic 18% tip meals, Im even okay paying 20% that's automatically added at some places. What I'm not ok with is the restaurant automatically adding a 25% tip to our bill when we asked an error to be corrected. Yikes! No permission was given, the card was run and the server did say we could adjust the tip but the total had already been run. It's a little embarrassing to ask them to a reduce the tip so we left it- but that is a terrible process. We won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

Might be our last visit for a while. I typically come here for brunch with my girlfriends on a weekend because it's a cute spot and always a fun vibe for a girl's brunch. The last couple times have been meh, and after our visit yesterday, I might start looking at a new spot. A couple things - the food is decent but not outstanding - but it's not the problem - it's the service. I made a reservation over a week prior and didn't know that it was Alki Pride or that they had the back area reserved for Divas Brunch until I arrived. No big deal - I love Pride and our reservation was at 915, Divas Brunch didn't start until 1130 and in an entirely separate area. If there was a time limit on our seating, I would have loved to have known that when I made the reservation...but there wasn't. The problem was that for the entire breakfast it felt like we were being rushed. They handed us menus and then three different people checked in to see if we were ready within a couple minutes of my friends arriving. We got our plates quickly and then within a couple minutes, the same different people (not just our server) were checking in to see how it was and if they could clear anything off our table. My friends and I were catching up and eating they kept checking in, interrupting us every time. We'd barely been there 35 minutes at this point. Finally, my friend had put down her fork between bites with food still on her plate and we got another interruption - for the third time within one minute - I'm not kidding. She even made a comment to the server who responded, "I guess we're just too good at our jobs sometimes". Cute, but that's not the point. This wasn't a brunch where we were slowly taking several hours to relax and enjoy. We were out of the restaurant within an hour of being seated and felt uncomfortable and rushed to the point that we were like, "ugh let's get out of here and continue catching up outside instead." I've noticed this a couple times while visiting at Harry's for breakfast but yesterday was too much. The food and vibes aren't good enough to outweigh feeling rushed constantly. Swung by at dinner hour (7ish?) on a Saturday in March and was able to snag a table for two inside. There were no other guests anywhere near our corner table so I felt pretty relaxed, given covid and all. The ambiance was rustic and beachy, although the food and cocktails are on the more gourmet end of the spectrum, which I like. No need for snobbery. For drinks I went with a tequila grapefruit cocktail listed on their menu... I can't recall it's name but it had a lot going on and was pretty good. I might order something more simple next time but always enjoy trying something new. I normally try to eat plant based but on occasion I'll enjoy some seafood and dairy. I'm so glad I went for the Salmon Sandwich with "Harry's Fries" because it was great! (And one of the more affordable meal options.) The fish tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked. The sandwich itself was tasty without being overly complicated. And those fries! I usually opt for the salad but for sharing purposes I went with the fries and was not mad about that decision one bit. They were the perfect thickness... not too thick and not too thin, plus they were seasoned beautifully and were hit with a flourish of finely grated Pecorino? Anyway. Yum. Service was (covid) standard, no complaints. I enjoyed the experience all around and would be more than happy to dine at Harry's again. read more

If you want to check out weekend brunch and try Harry's halibut-dungeness crab benedict your order has to be in by 215pm. I was anticipating a warm comforting meal but I feel that the benedict and potatoes were served at room temperature. I appreciated that the pancakes had a nice crisp edge and weren't overly sweet but wished that they were served warm. This service made me feel like we were served the leftovers from the brunch rush because while the taste was good the delivery was off. read more

Not exactly rude but definitely made us feel that we weren't welcome.I must have waved the server over 4 separate times and I know he saw me and chose to ignore me. So we had two appetizers and left. Found this place online, had high hopes. Host greeted us warmly. However, food and the rest of the service was lackluster. Went in during happy hour and stayed until dinner. Happy hour prices are nothing special, $2-$3 off their regular dinner prices. I get happy hour isn't supposed to be overly cheaper but that's embarrassing. And this is coming from someone who came in ready to spend a lot. Cost aside, we ordered the Lyonnaise Salad and half the salad was sour. Also ordered their Clam Chowder, definitely needed more salt. Honestly looks like microwaved clam chowder from a can, do better chef. For dinner, had Oyster Rockefeller, took 30 mins and tasted bland. Dining room is noisy (it is the beach that's fine unless you're sensitive to noise). Most disappointing, they serve silverware directly onto your unwiped table. Yuck! My advice, serve silverware with a napkin underneath or at least on a plate. Also please train your servers, they come into people's blind spots unannounced. Countless reviews have mentioned advice, ex: "pardon my reach." Clearly have not learned. Also, they fail to properly place dishes down onto your table in a safe and efficient manner. Very good food. My wife and I have both had the Swordfish which is excellent. If your having dinner they will let you order a burger or fish sandwich off of the lunch menu but it's not advertised on the dinner menu. Service is good though they did give us a bit of pressure to finish up so they could turn the table. Ambiance is good and would consider great if you catch it on a warm sunny summer day. read more
