First time into this location & surprisingly impressed! We had a party of 6 (sat quickly with no wait) and I will admit we are a little needy at times but our server Bella was on it & so accommodating. Just ok. The outdoor seating was pretty full when we arrived but there was plenty of indoor seating. The hostess didn't say a word to us but talked to the other servers walking by while we waited to be seated. I saw a picture of the onion rings and knew they were homemade so I ordered the appetizer portion. It came out quickly and it looked really good. The onion rings were freshly made but lacked seasoning and I wasn't a fan of the dip either. My entree was the BBQ Chicken flatbread and it was just ok too. Tasted like Sweet Bay Ray's sauce and nothing else unique. There was a reasonable amount of chicken on it. Also tried a barbacoa taco and that was also underwhelming. Overcooked meat and too many conflicting toppings. Maybe the beer is what people come for? read more

Finally stopped and tried Harry's for an adult dinner out. Location was nice since the parking garage is right next door and they validate your ticket for 2 hours. We were quickly seated and waitress was amazing. She was very attentive, talkative and helpful. Husband started off with a shrimp appetizer that was the bomb... 100% get it!! Would make some amazing tacos! He got a burger and fries for his main entree and enjoyed those as well. I decided to try the shrimp and grits and it was good... great big shrimp, fresh "salsa" but something wasn't quite right to make me love it. Sauce or maybe the cheddar grits with the combo of the rest?! Probably wouldn't order again. Next time I think I need to try a Reuben or something handheld. Atmosphere was nice and great beer list! Wanted something refreshing so opted for the sangria which was indeed fresh and light. read more

Super cute spot located in the heart of downtown. My favorite part was the photos of dogs all over the restaurant. I thought this was very unique and provided an entertaining back drop. The draft list is long with lots of offerings. The salad I offered had chicken/melted cheese/beans atop a multi layered tostada. Definitely not a boring salad! On a whimi decided to go get dinner with my friend Saturday night. I was excited to see there was no wait and was seated in a "high booth". Not my favorite, i must say! It was difficult getting into the booth, but once in it was fine. Our server was nice enough, but not super personable, which is fine. I liked how they could open the sundries and doors to make it not stuffy inside i thought that was a nice touch. We ordered drinks and then needed some excess time to order food. We finally ordered a Whiskey burger and carnitas Street tacos with everythingon the side. I didn't put a timer on it, but it took quite some time for our food to come out. We saw plate after plate go by us, until it was finally our turn. When the plates were sat down my friend looked at me with wide eyes. "She didn't ask me how i wanted my burger cooked! " no, she didn't, i agreed. Giving the benefit of the doubt i suggested that perhaps this is an establishment that makes all burgers medium well, as neither of us had been here yet. He cut open the burger to see and it was legitimately rare. Not even medium rare- the center of the burger didn't even get warm. We stopped our server on her next lap past the table and asked if they could put the burger on the grill to bring it up to medium well. "Oh no, is it not cooked enough? " no. No its not. She took the burger to the kitchen and upon coming back out she did they were cooking a whole new burger and it would be about eight minutes. Around 15 minutes later we made eye contact and she said she would go check on the burger. The burger came right out and it was well done, not medium well-- which i told him hey, rather it be too done than too rare! The fries with the burger tasted super old, like they'd been sitting under the heat lamp for quite a long time. They weren't even the same fries that came with the first burger bc those were still on the table. Also, they were really salty, but i couldn't figure out why... there was barely any salt ON them, but the taste was there. Do they salt the potatoes before they fry them up? What was the reason?! My carnitas tacos still had the cheese on them but it was a small amount, so that was fine. There were only two street tacos and a little bowl of the street corn. The street corn was heavily mayoed and had a strong taste of paprika and maybe cumin? It wasn't my favorite, but it was okay. The tacos were not okay. The tacos were so incredibly salty. I'm not a huge fan of salt but it was excessive. I could only eat one tiny taco bc it was so salty and gross! I thought dipping it in the salsa verde would help but it didn't. I ate one taco and took the other one home to give to my life partner, who enjoys obscene amounts of salt. We asked for the checks and one was brought out. That's fine, whatever, my friend paid (then we went next door and i bought our ice creams). So all in all it wasn't awesome. The atmosphere was nice, the host was nice, the server was nice.... but the ticket times and quality of the food was terrible. I felt like 2 stars was more on post, but no one was rude, so i couldn't do that. read more

I really enjoy the burgers and food at Harry's original location in Spotsylvania, so when I found out they opened a new location in downtown Fredericksburg, I had to try it! It definitely didn't disappoint! They have a large menu, loaded with delicious burgers, sandwiches, entrées, sides and even salads. They also have tons of taps on the wall for a large selection of brews. Service I received was excellent too! The open face Ruben is huge and delicious! Their onion rings are amazing and you get a large portion! They also have Mexican street corn salad as a side and it was really tasty. Their bar area has a large roll-up door that opens to their outdoor/patio seating. They have ample seating inside as well. I'm definitely going to come back! read more

Food and service are great. Reasonably priced. Plenty of seating. Great clam chowder.

The service was a little lack luster given that they were not busy the two times we visited. Drinks were constantly empty, and a soup was forgotten. Regarding food, we noticed that the soup flavor had changed from our first visit to our second. This time, we had an older batch, and the flavor of the clam chowder was completely off. It tasted like buttery water with potatoes, leaving one to wonder where the clams went or if the chef forgot to put them in. The burgers were pretty standard, but were a little over well, well done even considering we did ask for medium rare the second time anticipating this. We have much stronger options all around Harry's and don't recommend this location. Their route 3 location inside Harrison's Crossing seems consistently better. read more

This was my first time here and the food was fairly descent. I really like the crab dip and fish 'n' chips, which was really good but a few of the other menu items left the guest in my party unsatisfied. If I was to eat here again, I'm less likely to try certain menu items and focus more on the drink menu since they have a bigger selection/line-up then their food menu. read more

Friendly service & great meals! There is not much for vegetarians/vegans here, BUT what they had was delish! Loved the quinoa dish & the beet Salad & my hubby loved the bean burger. The service was great & the portions were good. Our first choice across the street was booked so we grabbed a seat at the bar here. My husband and I were on a road trip and live in Cambridge, MA which can be pricey but the beer prices here shocked us. Paying $9.75 for a 12 oz draft was a bit hard to swallow, and it was one of the less expensive options. The upside: the nachos were excellent - crisp, well-seasoned - and reasonable at $13. Customer service here is awful! Came with a group of friends on their wedding day to celebrate. Our party was large so we expected a wait. Another party was there that also had a lot of guests. Apparently, they can only accommodate one large party a time. The other party was seated for hours! The manager refused to accommodate us. We had a great night at Harry's with our family (3 kids under 12). The kids LOVED the dog pictures everywhere- including a possum!- and our server was excellent and so kind. There was a lot of seating options, and service was quick.
