    Harry's French Fries

The food here is always fantastic - the food is not too heavy but also very intentional. The highlights definitely are the bread and the starters in my opinion as they are unique but not too unique that most won't find appealing. The ambiance is definitely a fancy/nice date and girls night place. Dress up! The service though is actually hit or miss. When I come to the Resturant in the regular seating it is usually very good! I have also taken part in a private dining experience here, that you can reserve but I felt the server kept asking if we wanted drinks and I didn't appreciate the continued push throughout the entire dinner.

This place was very cute inside and the service was excellent. Overall the food was primarily a hit with a couple of misses. My co-workers and I came here and universally loved the fish, beignets, and sourdough. The dumplings had a lot of cumin or a strong spice and the Caesar salad was like eating shishito peppers only you didn't know what bite would be bitter! It was also incredibly cold in the winter time. We'd come back though!

This is such a great restaurant with a nice variety of dishes and a good happy hour! Went for a friend's birthday and ordered the hamachi crudo, Ben's bread, and caramelized onion bun for starters. I ordered the pici pasta which was absolutely delicious! A few of my friends ordered the happy hour smashburger which looked very good as well. Staff were very nice. We will be back!

Very happy that I tried this place! It's situated in a neighborhood and super cozy and welcoming vibe. The only downside about the location is that it was hard to find parking around 6-7. The menu rotates based on seasonal items and so we tried a lot of items. We ordered the caramelized onion bun, pork croquettes with spicy ketchup, and Brussels sprouts. For the main we shared the roasted chicken which was my favorite dish and super flavorful. The drinks are also really good. The food came out right away so it was fresh. Lastly, we had to try the chocolate cake and homemade sorbet and didn't regret that decision.

Such a nice brunch experience. We got seated immediately despite them being super busy. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder which was perfect for the chilly weather. The clams themselves tasted pretty fresh and it was overall very filling. Cool place!

We've been going to Harry's for years and it often feels like a second home. Their patio feels like an extension of our patio. Whether you are seated indoors, at the bar, or on their chandelier-lit patio, this place is incredibly inviting and homey. It's the perfect place for brunch, happy hour, or an intimate dinner. They also have a bottle shop with a great selection of wines and a small selection of goods (like tinned fish, oils, and snacks). This is a cute homage to the fact that Harry's used to be a bodega before the owners transformed it into a restaurant. We have favorites (some still exist on the current menu). These include the Chicken (perfectly cooked, crisp, and served with smashed potatoes and an array of sauces/condiments). There is often a variation on a chicory salad that is to die-for. Two main stays on the menu of sides/starters that we love are the Harry's Fries and the Grilled Sourdough Bread. The burger is another item we often order. We love the cooking and flavor but find that it is sometimes over-sauced. They used to have a breakfast plate that had 1 cornmeal pancake, 2 eggs, bacon, and collard greens. Harry's, if you are listening, please bring it back! Their drinks are very good. Not only do they have a great selection of wines but also a creative assortment of cocktails (rotating seasonally). I often order a staple cocktail (such as an old fashioned) and its always well made. I hate to bring this up in a review, but it is worth noting that Harry's suffered the loss of one of their talented chefs a little over a year ago. Perhaps related, perhaps not, but it seems like it has taken some time for them to find their footing again. Recently, I've had several dishes that were sadly misses: steamers served with multiple bad (unopened) muscles and a quail l that had no sides (give me some grits or something) and improper saucing. And our favorite, the sourdough, has sadly declined. They now give a smaller portion, and it is often over-done (burnt). I felt compelled to note some of the recent changes. But know that we are in love with Harry's. They helped us host our engagement party in 2022. They are the restaurant we went to celebrate our puppy's "adoption day" (did I mention, they allow dogs on the patio?). We are excited to see how they continue to evolve, and we always look forward to new items when they release their seasonal menus. But please Harry, bring back the southern breakfast plate.

My husband, brother and I visited Harry's Fine Foods with a last-minute reservation I made about 1-2 days before visiting. There were limited reservation times and I was only able to get a 7 pm reservation. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation time but weren't able to get seated earlier as the diners before were finishing up, however, we were seated promptly at our reservation time. I'd booked a table in their outdoor courtyard and was glad for it because it was a hot day, and inside felt stifling. Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered a good deal of food to share amongst the three of us, including a watermelon salad, scallion pancake, the tagliarini, another pasta, and the halibut. Since we had six dishes between us, we all left feeling stuffed and couldn't eat dessert. We just barely finished our food. All of the dishes were exquisite in freshness and flavor. It was hard for me to pick a favorite. The ambiance was lovely for a Seattle summer evening. Loved our experience here and would highly recommend.

    Harry's Chocolate Cake
    Wennie H.

This review is solely for the chocolate cake (and the cookie). My girl picked up two slices because she knows I have an appetite but also wants to make sure there's always enough. So keep in mind, this is two slices of cake. I had one at room temp and one straight from the fridge, in the same night, I consumed both slices...this is to attest to how good it was. The cake is moist with strong chocolate flavors without being overpowering. The frosting in the mid sections at room temp & cold are fluffy while the exterior is firmer (could have done without). The cake is topped with a generous sprinkle of flaked sea salt too. Literally, so good. One of the best slices of cake I've had in Seattle.

Harry's Fine Foods offer a variety of sweet and savory options for brunch! French toast, pancakes to omelettes and grain bowls. I ordered the delicious breakfast quiche which came with a very light green lettuce salad. Very refreshing and the portion of food was just right for brunch! My two friends ordered the grain bowl and mushroom omelette for their entrees which they really enjoyed. Plus a side of bacon. I had a Passion Killer N/A beverage which was yummy! Our brunch was $108 for 3 after tax and tip (wowza - great deal)! We found parking to be a little challenging.. But with patience and a keen eye there's a few spots around this cute residential neighborhood. The service by our waitress was amazing. She was so attentive at filling our water and checking up on us. Brunch was enjoyable. I'll surely come back :)

Okay, Harry's is SO cute! It's a great little corner spot in a more residential part of Cap Hill, and the ambiance is perfect. Even the bathroom was cute. The food was great too! Don't skip the plum buckle--it was my fave! I ordered the grain bowl and shared a cornmeal pancake. It had a perfectly crispy edge and tasted so good! Honestly, I liked their sweet dishes the best, which is surprising because I'm usually more of a savory breakfast person. They've got the sweets perfected

Had brunch at Harry's Fine Foods with a friend over the weekend, and it was a nice spot with a cozy atmosphere. We sat inside, but their outdoor area looked super comfortable--surrounded by heavy curtains and heaters, people were sitting out there in t-shirts in the middle of winter! I wouldn't hesitate to sit outside next time if it was the only option. The service was quick and attentive, which made for a smooth and pleasant brunch experience. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits, and while the sausage was flavorful, the grits themselves were a little plain. My friend got the Eggs in Purgatory, which I originally wanted but was warned they were very spicy. Imagine my disappointment when I tried a bite and realized they were only mildly spicy--I totally could've handled a whole dish of it! It reminded me of shakshuka, and I was definitely a little jealous for the rest of the meal. We also shared the smoked whitefish cannoli, which was a unique dish. It's definitely a savory cannoli--there's no sweetness to the filling. Not a bad flavor at all, just something to keep in mind if you're craving a touch of sweetness like I was. Overall, a solid brunch spot with a great setup, but next time, I'm trusting my spice tolerance!

    Sabrina N.

super cute and cozy spot in cap hill, love the outdoor garden terrace especially in the summer! overall the food was not bad at all and i love the seasonal menus, despite there being so few options. the sardine toast i ordered was a nice surprise for me. the ricotta paired so well with the onions and herbs and was quite refreshing. the sandwich my brother ordered had a fat layer of bacon in it which was kind of crazy. unfortunately for the price point im not sure you're getting a great bang for buck. we ordered the sweet cream bun to share for $13 and it was really small. the pork and grits portion size also seemed small. there was also a 3% service charge for the house which is weird? overall i was definitely expecting more but was not dissatisfied with my brunch experience.

The most disappointing thing were the Fries, which were on the harder side. Tables are tight, so plan for elbow-to-elbow seating. Worth it for the Dutch baby. I'd order differently next time.
