Visited the first time yesterday due to recommendations on yelp. 10 stars! Wonderful!!! My husband had Cobia, friends had fish and chips, sister had swordfish, I had another Fish that starts with a c and someone else had catfish. Also had the shrimp appetizer. Amazing!! We are still in town and will be going back today for lunch!

Harry's Old Place is a great combination of atmosphere and great food. This local seafood restaurant will cook your fish to order. They have fantastic specials and great drink options. We enjoyed the Corvina and Trout. The cheesy grits were absolutely amazing. Holman was our waiter and was very attentive and accommodating. We dined overlooking a beautiful lake.

Friendly, efficient, helpful staff. Justin the bartender provided great service. The food was incredible. If I find myself on death row, I'm ordering my last meal from Harry's Old Place. A wide variety of fresh fish is available. We both ordered grouper. The fresh vegetable was green beans and they might have been picked this morning. Hush puppies were the best I've tasted. We sat at the bar and planned to move to the back with its view of the lake. But as the place filled, we chose to stay where we were. Good choice. I hope we pass this way again. I wouldn't hesitate to have dinner at Harry's. In fact we were disappointed we had to head home and couldn't come back the following night.

Has been a while, but we're back. The entrance is fresh and inviting. Nicely updated restrooms AND a hand-washing station is also available. Love that! Service was congenial and efficient. Super nice! The food is as good as we remembered. Sweet Tea in a giant Mason jar was fresh and crisp. Most folks won't need a refill. ;-) We can happily recommend the Tossed Salad with Blue Cheese Or Ranch dressing. Served cold and fresh - very nice. The Fried Shrimp and Oysters are still favorites. Nice, light batter and prepared well. Definitely consider these options! The Fried Catfish was 2 big filets. Wish the batter was a little lighter, but very good. We enjoyed the tartar sauce, too. Too full for dessert (again) but will try to plan better next time.

This appears to be a local hangout. I adore all of the fresh fish options . I had the monkfish the favorite way with lemon and a side of butter. It was delicious. The chowder was a miss but the fish was delicious. Definitely stop as they have an array of different fish cooked anyway you like.

Went on a rainy Tuesday night around 5:40 and it was packed. Had to wait about 40 minutes for seating but worth the wait. A big draw for retirees - so go for a later dinner If you don't want to wait as long. We tried the gator and pork sausage appetizer plus pimiento cheese and crackers. A little pricey, but a fun unique choice. My husband had the strip steak and it was very tender. I had haddock and key lime pie to go. The hush puppies were my favorite - as far as tasty goes.

I came here in November 2023 and I ordered Margate broiled in lemon butter, Gator Bites, and French Onion Soup. I also had cheesy grits and french fries as my sides. On a Saturday 1PM, seating was instant even though it was packed. I originally wanted to try the Cobia fish but it was unavailable. All of their available items were on the board. 8 minutes after ordering I received complimentary bread and butter. It was warm, chewy, and satisfying. The French Onion soup was yummy too. It has gooey cheese and was not too hot. The soup also looks deeper than it is. As a tourist, I was most excited for the gator bites. It had a sour and salty taste, like a strange chicken. It came with a sauce that felt like a variant of thousand island. It honestly reminded me of orange chicken, but way more chewy. I personally enjoyed the gator bites a lot. The cheesy grits were a miss. It was too salty for me and I struggled to finish it. The fish was pretty average. It remind me of catfish, which is unfortunately my least favorite fish. I personally wasn't a fan of the flavor but glad that I got to try something new. The texture was good though. Overall this restaurant is in the middle of nowhere but has good food and pretty views.

We tried to call and make a reservation at Harry's because we were driving two hours to meet my wife's nephew and his wife were also driving two hours at Harry's cause it was exactly midpoint between Sarasota where we stay in Florida and their home in Florida so we wanted to be sure that we get in and get a table. Well as it worked out my wife's nephew Richard got there early and got us a table because they refused to take a reservation and the food was very good. I had a small salad and we shared an onion loaf for the table. My wife had their French onion soup. Richard had a fillet and my wife and I shared a piece of fish that was wonderful. We had it blackened. It came with mixed veggies and rice. Everything was good. I won't say that it was great, but everything was good however, when I finished the meal and I asked for a cup of coffee, the waitress said they had no coffee which I didn't understand and she tried to explain to me that their coffee maker left or something and I still didn't get it if it's a restaurant and it's an operation what does it take to go out and get a coffee maker anyway if they had a cup of coffee I would've given them five stars.

Tasty food and amazing service! What more could you ask for in a restaurant. We have found our favorite seafood place.

I visited Harry's Old Place in Winter Haven tonight for the very first time. It is a very cute and welcoming place. I was greeted and seated right away. My waitress, Taylor was so friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a filet and asked it to be topped with crab. When it came out it was not as expected, undercooked- I asked for medium rare but it was very rare and the topping was cold. I hesitated to say anything but Taylor noticed and immediately asked what she could do to make it right. She ended up recommending mahi with a garlic sauce topping which was delicious! The GM Cody came over and was just as kind. I will for sure be back and appreciate them for not making me feel bad (or worse) for returning the first dish.

We ordered the 10-ounce sirloin with stuffed shrimp and loaded mashed potatoes, which we split because the portions are very generous. We also had a side salad, and it was outstanding. One of the things we enjoy most about Manny's is the fun, quirky decor and lively atmosphere. It's a casual and welcoming place. This visit wasn't quite as good as our previous ones. The service was a little slower than usual, but we believe our waiter was new and still getting comfortable. Our steak also arrived dry and lukewarm. The atmosphere was great, and for the most part, the food absolutely delivered. To start, the crabcake appetizer was fantastic, and the clam chowder cup was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. For our mains, the power greens salad, with chicken and maple salmon were all beautifully prepared and delicious. The only hiccup of the night was the rice that came as a side with the salmon--it was unfortunately quite dry and lacking. However, our server handled it perfectly and quickly brought out a baked potato substitute instead, which was excellent. Being from The Villages area, my friend & I like to visit restaurants that are not in our area; usually we go to lunch. My friend got the Chicken Parm & the piece of Chicken was huge & very tender. My choice was the Italian Deli Sandwich which was very yummy. I am a travel agent who does many local bus trips & I am planning on bringing a group of 34 ladies to this establishment. We were seated in the back room for a birthday dinner celebration. The room was extremely dark and we couldn't turn on the other lights because it was connected to the most dustiest ceiling fans that had at least 1/4 of an inch thick of dust. The woman who was coming in and out of the room to pour water in the water glasses had an attitude like she didn't want to be there. I asked her a question about the menu and she very dryly told me "you can't order that unless you are on the other side" then walked away. That's when I was inquiring about the bistro menu. At that point I knew I wasn't going to be able to eat anything there due to their lack of plant based items or even easily adjustable items so I just ate the bruschetta. However when we placed the order for the bruschetta it never came out. So once we asked about it, it was then comped and brought out. Our waiter was very irritated and annoyed it seemed with the large party he had to tend to but his assistant which was a younger more personable guy was way more pleasant to be around. The cost point for the food was beyond the taste and size of the portions. When I asked about kid options, the waiter told me he could have the chef make a kids steak or chicken tenders and fries. It was my mistake for not asking for the price since I assumed it was a kids portion. Granted the tiniest steak did come out I still had to pay over $24 which I would have purchased the regular adult size if that was the case. So some clarity on the menu options for the kids would have been greatly appreciated. I can go on and on about this place but ultimately I would recommend not to go here unless you don't care about customer service or price points. Upon leaving the family event, and getting home I then realized my debit card was never returned to me by our gracious waiter. So once we returned to retrieve the card another day we were greeted with the rudest and most annoyed individuals at the host station. Needless to say we will never ever return.

There's a main great room and 2 smaller rooms that have seating as well and ambiance lighting throughout for intimate gatherings. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with necessities. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. Texas RH gives away free peanuts and Manny's has fresh buttered popcorn to eat while u wait. Movie theater quality! The staff are all friendly and welcoming. We had Tiffany as our server and she was so good we came back the next night and asked for her again. The oven hot sweet dinner rolls with cinnamon butter or regular butter are IMO lighter and better than TRH. The endless made table side Cesar salad was exceptional and better than TRH and I helped myself to 2nds and 3rds. The sirloin and shrimp dinner special is worth it. On night one I went with the butter crab stuffed shrimp, it was OK but on night two I went with the fried shrimp and that was the best fried shrimp ever. They butterfly it and use a wonderful batter that's crunchy and flavorful. They give u large shrimp too. The sirloin was cooked perfectly med/rare but did need a little salt but good quality meat. I do prefer the TRH steak seasoning instead. The next night I opted for the rib eye and that was on point. Excellent quality and flavor. My daughter had prime rib two nights in a row and had the left overs for breakfast with no complaints. My side was the fully loaded baked potato that 2nd to none in flavor and toppings. I definitely have to update my review from a few years ago as I returned here a couple of times…read morerecently and had a great experience. This place is absolute paradise for my Lego loving child. It's pirate themed and has epic Lego creations. My son loves the area where kids can play with Legos and it's nice for the parents too as it gives them a break. The food is served family style and you get a lot of bang for your buck as you can reorder as many things as you'd like. We chose the Pirate Platter which includes: a delicious salad with apples and pecan and honey bread upfront, then a platter of assorted meats such as brisket, steak, sausage, chicken, and ribs. The brisket is our favorite. It comes with green beans, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. I really wanted to try some of the vegan platter so they brought that out for me at no extra charge. For dessert, we got a pan cookie with ice cream as well as the vegan chocolate fondue with fruits and marsh mallows. All of this unlimited for only $39 per adult and $19 per child with drinks included. Delicious and such a fun dinner experience! Since I stayed at the hotel, I also came here for breakfast as it is included in the stay. Breakfast is the same across all three Legoland hotels. It's also served family style and includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, French toast or pancakes. You can add fruits, yoghurts, cereal, oatmeal at no up charge. And it also includes drinks such as coffee, milks, juices, etc. The staff was very accommodating about letting me take things to go and ordering extra stuff.

Older lady, you can tell she's been around as a waitress for a while. Kind of reminds me of like the old diner waitresses "What are you having" lol. Anyway, she was awesome. She let us pick off both options. We ordered the pirate one which is BBQ choices and we got some of the sea dog options for the seafood side. So sweet. We first got our bread. It was good. Tasted like a yeast bread. Came oiled and with sweet butter. It also came with a salad as well for the table which had cheese, tomatoes onion and greens. The salad dressing was light and sweet. The main food came. It came with ribs, flank steak, pulled pork, brisket, beans, string beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. 3 sauces came with it, regular bbq, mango bbq and mustard. The mango bbq had real mango in it. Now, preface by saying I understand this isn't a 5 star Michelin chef meal and I wasn't expecting much. However, this was actually very good. The steak was very good. Not dry. The brisket was good. The ribs were good not dry. The pulled pork was dry. The salmon was good, The shrimp was good, Sausage was good, the string beans were ok, the macaroni was very heavy but good and the mashed potatoes were good. Overall I was very impressed. Then for dessert came our chocolate chip covered ice cream with heath bar bits. So very fattening.

This place never fails to deliver…read more Every time we come to Legoland, we come here for dinner as well. It is always an absolute delight. I got the butterfly gin drink again and as always, it is 10 out of 10. It isn't too sweet and it packs a punch. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. For our Mains, I got the pear salad, which was great. I didn't add any protein because my younger son got the grilled chicken kids meal with french fries. He only eats half the chicken so I got the other half. My older son got buttered noodles and a side of fries. It was very good as well, he liked the buttered noodles, but stopped halfway through, so I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses another dish next time. He does love the fries. My husband got the chimichurri steak which he should get every single time because it is delicious and my younger son eats a ton of it as well. This time he got the vegetable of the day and mashed potatoes as his sides and enjoyed both. Parking is a breeze because there is a lot of nearby street parking. It is only about 15 minutes away from LEGOLAND, so I highly recommend if you're in the area skip all the chain restaurants and come here instead.

Lucille's American Cafe is a solid breakfast spot, and the food is the real draw…read more My wife and I came in for brunch/lunch and the food did not disappoint. She had the Breakfast Burger with fries and I went with the skirt steak and eggs. Both were excellent. The steak was cooked right and the whole plate came together well. Service was a little slow, which kept this from being a perfect visit. We also happened to be seated near one extremely loud patron, which made the room harder to enjoy, though that is obviously not the cafe's fault. Even with the slow service, the quality of the food is what matters and Lucille's delivered. We would come back.
