I was excited to take a break from cooking and use a birthday gift card during this visit. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and i was seated just a few minutes after checking in, which was a great start to the evening. The shrimp , caesar salad , and loaded baked potato were the stars of the meal. each one was flavorful, well-prepared, and easily the highlight of my dinner. The service was excellent from start to finish. the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure my dining experience was enjoyable. I've visited this location several times over the years, so i had high expectations. unfortunately, the steak didn't meet those expectations and was my least favorite part of the meal. it was disappointing, especially compared to my previous visits. While this visit didn't end the way I had hoped, the outstanding service, clean restaurant, and the rest of the meal were enough for me to leave a 5-star review. A few small improvements to the steak would have made this dinner exceptional. because of this experience, iImay take a break before returning, but i hope my next visit is more consistent with the great experiences i've had here in the past. read more

I'm very disappointed by the experience we had tonight. We arrived on a busy night and were very patient and understanding about having to wait a little while. We understand that mistakes happen, and when we were brought the wrong drink and the wrong side, we were completely fine with it. However, when the correct drink was brought to our table by a waitress who was not our server, she wasn't even sure she had the right table and said she was told it was "for the pregnant lady." I am not pregnant, and I found that comment extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the experience continued to go downhill. I went to the women's bathroom shortly after arriving, and it was very dirty. There was paper all over the floor, the toilet seat was up, and there appeared to be feces on the toilet. I had to use toilet paper to put the seat down because I did not want to touch it. I went back to the bathroom again before we left, and the paper was still all over the floor. Both trash cans were overflowing, and it was also very difficult to get paper towels out to dry my hands. On top of the cleanliness issues, the staff did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming. Being called "fat" was also extremely upsetting and unacceptable. Regardless of the circumstances, customers should be treated with basic respect and courtesy. We were patient and understanding throughout the evening, but unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. Based on tonight's experience, we most likely will not be returning to this location. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the cleanliness issues and the way customers are being treated. read more

Food was not good, ordered a medium steak , was served well done. Broccoli was not fully cooked , potato was not hot or done. Sounds like they have a problem. I complained and the server got another steak and broccoli for take out. Was hoping for a better lunch the bill was $75 for two. We won't be back anytime soon. Hubby had a great steak (which I wish I had ordered) but a friend raved about the Parmesan crusted chicken so I decided to get that it came with a salad and I wanted the broccoli on the side. Totally disappointed with the chicken had a very weird taste to me. I have had Parmesan crusted chicken and even have made it myself. I would never order that again and do not ever suggest anyone get that. I would have sent it back, but we were with a large group and we had a show to go to the waitress. I've been to this LongHorn Steakhouse several times. In the past, there were a few visits where the service and the food weren't up to the standard I expected. However, my last two visits have been excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was cooked well and very enjoyable. I also believe it's important to communicate with the manager whenever something isn't right. Constructive feedback helps the restaurant improve, and I'm happy to see that they seem to have made positive changes. Everything I ordered was fresh hot and flavorful, now the wait was a bit long but the mangers and waiters service did something that I would rather return back to this location because of his hospitality and how he was able to make the situation way better with the smallest offer it amazed me was not expecting that. I came in with my family after a long day at Legoland. We hadn't been to a LongHorn in quite a while and were excited to try it again. Our server, Tricia, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. My husband and mom had steaks at medium rare, and they were cooked perfectly! I had the chicken wrap appetizer, which was delicious! My son had the kids' chicken strips, which was a healthy portion, and my son loved. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. I enjoyed every part of the meal and will return next time I'm in town! Longhorn has long been our go-to steak house in Winter Haven, our most recent experience has caused me to rethink this. There were 5 of us and none enjoyed our time there. While the server was great the food was dismal. Tried their new parmesan fries, look terrible, tasted terrible. Got their loaded mushrooms (usually always very, very good) They were terrible, not baked at all. The Ceasar salad had a miniscule amount of dressing, pushed it away. The salmon and shrimps looked terrible, tasted the same. And the steaks were simply tough as old boots. And repeat drinks of margaritas and long island ice teas were not consistent in flavor or alcohol amount. My, how they have fallen. Going to Outback next to give them a try again. read more

Steakhouse chain that is known to provide really good quality. The porterhouse and flo's fillet were awesome. Cooked to perfection (medium). This place would have been four solid stars should there had not been so much pepper! I loved seasoning and as a chef myself, I value and appreciate well seasoned food. I recommend decreasing the pepper amount as it almost made it inedible for our family. Other than this mishap, sides were lovely. Mashed potatoes were a big hit, as well as the asparagus, corn, and broccoli. We did take out to have a nice hotel picnic and it worked beautifully. Thanks LongHorn for the delicious steaks. This was the 4th time we ate here and it was always very good for service and the food. This was a Sat. night, therefore packed full of people. That said, the service was slow, drinks did not come until the main course was on the table. Unfortunately, the vegetables were not warm. Yet the steak was WONDERFUL as usual for this place. Side note: I am not one of the younger generation. When I have a waitress/waiter with a ring in their nose, it turns me off! Our party of 8 was crammed into a space created by shoving a table up against the end of a booth. In the far back corner, against a wall. Right next to the restroom. For my wife's 70th birthday. This arrangement made it all but impossible for anyone seated in the booth to leave the table for things like, you know...going to the restroom. I fell on that grenade rather that stuffing one of our invited guests into the corner. So holding it for an hour was the order of the day. My wife always has a frozen daquiri for her birthday. Somehow Longhorn no longer had a blender and could not accommodate her birthday request, despite having done so in the past several times. Then the food did not come out together. One of our party, a disabled veteran, was served a full ten minutes after everyone else. Presumably over waiting for french fries. Which is interesting because my french fries were ice cold. And my New York Strip, rare was a Rib Eye, raw. Like the fries were done and they had forgotten to start the steak on time. I ordered the lunch special burger with the strawberry & mandarin feta cheese, pecan side salad. My friend got the salmon 10oz lunch with asparagus. Not sort of good but really good !The bread and butter that is brought to the table was not the average tasteless bread, this was like bakery bread. We got the onion petal appetizer which I would not recommend getting it was just average maybe below average, but when our lunches came it made me forget about the appetizer. My burger was perfectly cooked medium rare and it was also seasoned like I made it at home. My side salad was the best salad I have had eating out in a very long time that was so worth the up charge. My friend's bourbon glazed salmon portion was huge and cooked perfectly and covered a bed of rice with the baby asparagus. I tried it and it was delicious! I have to say it seemed like it took awhile for our food to come out, but when it did arrive our waitress said the manager would come by our table to tell us why it took so long. I was told my burger was cooked incorrectly and was well done so they cooked it again to the way I ordered it. I REALLY appreciated that they took the time to do it right because I was not disappointed! It was the best burger I have had in a long time. Even better than my home cooked burgers. I was very impressed with the food and the service. With the cost of eating out now sometimes it does not seem like you are getting your moneys worth and it is better just eating at home. We met my husband's family out this way for his father's birthday dinner. When we arrived they told us a half hour to forty five minute wait, but we only waited about twenty minutes total. They were on the busy side, but it was a weekend and close to holiday time, so not too surprising. Once we were seated our server came over and took drink orders. We were in a booth / table combo since we had a larger party. It was a little awkward with the double set up, and hard to let one person up for a bathroom trip. They also have larger plates and lots of stuff on the table that makes it crowded, which is difficult with a toddler. That was really the only negative throughout. Our food came out as ordered and we enjoyed it all. I love their steak and that you can order it without the butter. They have some good steak toppers as well, if you enjoy that kind of thing. I heard a man raising his voice and got a little concerned, the waitress came back to check on us. I asked her what was going on, she stated that the manager John was talking to the kitchen staff. If my mother and I heard this is the dining area, its not talking. If this is the kind of treatment, staff members endure or Longhorn condones. I think the server has already left for the day but wasn't positive. The nice and friendly lady who came over to us to give us service apologized for the wait which was nice.
