I would give this place 2 stars, solely because Harry himself was very nice and he did get my dress done in time but I can't get myself to make it worth 2 stars besides those 2 things. First of all, the alterations were bad. I read the amazing reviews and how great everyone else's was, but mine was awful. The stitching on my dress (bridesmaids dress) was all over the place and falling out everywhere, and it didn't even fit me after 3 times taking it back. My dress was big, but all bridesmaid dresses normally are at first. It cost me over $140.... for a hem and pulling in the sides. I almost vomited. The dress itself was $150-$160. It was freaking ridiculous. Two areas. TWO. $160. I never write reviews, but I had to for this. My dress was GAPING in the chest region which is not cute/classy, and my arms were falling out the whole time. Maybe Harry is much better with suits/coats as that was what the majority of the store seemed to look like, but I won't ever go back. read more

After reading the others review, I took a chance on Harry's shop and I AM GLAD I did. I had two 7 For All Man Kind Boot cut Jeans that needed to be taken in from the waist and the hips (wings). I went in on a Saturday and waited for a few minutes since a few people were ahead of me. Soon after I tried on both jeans and my measurements were taken. I was glad to see the professionalism so I felt as though I was in great hands. So finally I picked up my jeans last week and needless to say I was blown away and impressed with the quality of workmanship and the extreme perfection my "new" 7 jeans felt and looked. I've been wearing the two pairs for the last few days and I love them. The cost for the work was: $40 per pair but he took the time to explain what he was going to do with the jeans and it seemed like major surgery so I truly understood the cost point and I don't regret it. read more

Ever since a buddy of mine introduced me to Harry I have never considered another tailor. The quality can not be surpassed and if anyone were to question the charges, they don't understand the rarity of quality alterations. You are having something you purchased off the rack to be custom made for you. I'm not willing to pay the price for custom made, not that I can, but I have never worn an item after it was altered by Harry's without feeling some pride knowing that it looks great on ME! The other thing I've noticed, Harry seems to always be there directly listening to my requests, giving me his professional input and after a number of visits offering me his personal attention. I've bought my one and only suit for the first time for a company xmas event several years ago and only wore it once because of how it fitted. Being a first time suit buyer, I really didn't think about or understand how each fitting should be (eg., slim fit, classic, modern, etc.) so this has been in the back of my closet until most recently. I had a New Years event to attend with my girlfriend and decided to give the suit another try, but with alterations done to make it look true to my size. I began to google tailors around the area and finding Harry's was not hard, as it was on top of the search list. I contacted his shop and spoke with Bill who was extremely kind and helpful. I had a ton of questions and never felt rushed. He knew his stuff and made me feel confident in their business. I decided to bring them the suit including the shirt I would wear the next day and met with Harry. He was a very nice man to work with. We talked for a little and then got straight to the point. This is something I like. He asked me the most important question: "what are you trying to accomplish?" I explained how the midsection to my suit was too roomy, my pant legs were too long and my shirt feels too wide around the body and baggy in the arms. He knew exactly what I wanted. After all was said and done, I asked him what did he think and will it look good? He replied with a grin, "of course it will... because I'm doing it." This is when I knew I was in the right place. He told me it'll take 2 weeks to complete which was fine because I got it before xmas weekend. I'm happy to share that my suit came out amazing! The entire fit was perfect from jacket, pants to shirt. Harry and his team truly made my night more special. I cannot thank them enough! I am an odd mix of frugal and... not-so-frugal. I prefer comparatively well made suits (i.e., Hickey Freeman) but can't quite splurge for MTM or bespoke. I recently bought one of the nicer high end HF suits but the bespoke tailor I usually use to customize things was very ill. Harry did fantastic work to custom tailor it (i.e., hem pants, adjust waist, trim torso, functional sleeve buttons, etc.) for a very reasonable rate and ready when he said. I brought my wedding gown to Harry a few months ago, and he has done an amazing job! Even after having to come back in for some minor alterations after the first fittings, he has always been incredibly kind and accommodating, as well as affordable. My gown is beaded and he and his staff were able to fix some broken beading, take about a foot and a half off of the bottom of the gown, while still keeping a gorgeous beaded train, cut and take in a beaded belt, and bustle the gown. I expected this to cost us so much money, but it was incredibly affordable, considering all of their hard work. Additionally, their professional expertise is inspiring. I am a professional actor, and have spent many an hour in a dressing room being fitted for costumes and elaborate clothing. Not a single fitting lasted more than 30 minutes with Harry, and the work is just exceptional. I will refer people to him from now on. I first heard about Harry's when I was looking for a suit. I was a grooms men for a wedding, and we all had to buy our own suits. The sales associate from Banana Republic sold me a dress pant that was a little long. I am 5'5'' and most pants I purchase need some sort of alteration. She then suggested Harry's tailor if I need any type of alterations. The shop was voted top 10 in Dallas, so I felt comfortable bringing my business there. Without much said, I changed into the suit and Harry went to work. I brought it in a few days before the wedding and he accommodated to the situation. Harry measured and altered the suit without me telling him what I needed and wanted to tailor. I received my cloths back on time, and everything was perfect. Being that I am oriental, I don't have a shapely butt region. When I tried on the suit after the alterations, I noticed that my butt was round and shapely.
