Great communication and the Van was perfect for our family trip. Would definitely rent from them again.

Based on my Yelp photos, I've rented here a couple of times and I have to say, for an experience…read morethat can usually be very painful (renting a car, that is), the team at National Car Rental at PHX do a great job. Most recently, I rented a car for a week and after taking the train to the rental car center, I was able to skip the desk and head straight to the Emerald Aisle to pick any available car. I would highly recommend setting up an account with National and taking advantage of this.... being able to skip a line at the counter is a blessing. In any event, we went to the aisle, picked out our car and were off after a brief stop at the gate to check everything. Return was also quick and painless. Josh did a thorough inspection of the car, which we returned with a full tank and in pristine shape, and we were on our way in no time. It's amazing how frictionless the experience can be, as opposed to how awful other companies (I'm looking at you Hertz) can make it. I highly recommend National.

I've rented cars from this location several times now and it's always quick and convenient…read more There's a shuttle to and from the airport that's relatively quick, and there is a gas station not too far from this place too. The staff are friendly and professional. I've had them offer to give me a bit of a discount when something inconvenient happens, and I'm glad they have that authority. This last time the car I rented had a lot of fingerprints on the windows and the carpeting in the trunk of the car was stained. There was also a splotch of something in the cupholder (I didn't try to remove it so I don't know how stuck on it was). That said, it didn't affect performance of the car and overall I still enjoyed driving it. The pricing seems okay. I think there are cheaper rental companies, but some of what I pay for is convenience. I'll keep using them when I visit Phoenix for work.

If you don't mind the fact that the car rental company is off site and you have plenty of time then…read moreit might work for you. You'll first take the train to the rental car center and then walk a long way and down the stairs or elevator to wait for a van. That's another 5-10 minute drive. It was crowded and slow. But the agent was cordial and helpful. The car had significant damage but was not in the mood to wait for it to be exchange.

PREDATORY SCAM - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PLEASE FOLLOW MY ADVICE!…read more "Absolute fraud. This is a classic well documented bait-and-switch operation. They lure you in with low rates online, then force 'mandatory' insurance, gas, and upgrade fees once you're stranded at their sketchy off-site locations. They prey on travelers by refusing to honor original prices or claiming your reserved car is unavailable. If you've been bilked, don't just complain here--file a formal consumer fraud complaint with the Arizona Attorney General at azag.gov. This company needs to be shut down." How to File a Complaint with the Arizona Attorney General The Arizona Attorney General's Office investigates deceptive business practices and can bring civil enforcement lawsuits against companies violating the Consumer Fraud Act. https://www.azag.gov/complaints/consumer Gather Your Evidence: Before filing, collect copies of your original reservation, the final signed contract, credit card statements showing overcharges, and any photos of the vehicle or location. Submit the Online Form: Visit the Official Consumer Complaint Portal and click "Get Started" to fill out the digital form. Detail the Fraud: Describe the specific misleading practice (e.g., being told insurance was mandatory despite your own coverage, or being forced into an upgrade because the reserved car "wasn't there"). Attach Documents: Use the "Add Attachments" section of the online form to upload your evidence. Alternative Filing Methods: By Mail: Print the downloadable form and send it to: 2005 N Central Ave, Attn: Consumer Information and Complaints, Phoenix, AZ 85004. By Phone: Call the Phoenix office at (602) 542-5763 or the toll-free line at (800) 352-8431 for assistance. Additional Actions to Take Credit Card Dispute: Immediately contact your bank to dispute the fraudulent charges as "services not as described" or "unauthorized charges". FTC Report: File a report at ReportFraud.ftc.gov to help federal authorities track systemic patterns of travel fraud. https://reportfraud.ftc.gov Yes, it's taken this retired DoD Civilian that may know just a bit about accountability and lack of starting at the top a few days to piece this corporate SCAM together but know it's just a matter of time before I seek additional damages in Maricopa County albeit remotely as a Missouri resident who currently has an open case with the AZAG as well as the MO AGO and it's NOT IF, BUT WHEN this get's resolved! *********************************************************** The Facts you should know if SCAMMED in the locations referenced above: CORPORATE HIERARCHY & REGISTERED AGENTS PARENT ENTITY: Reservation Affiliates, LLC (Florida Dept. of State Doc #L20000123458) PRINCIPAL/DIRECTOR: Marc A. Walker, 6441 NW 54th Court, Lauderhill, FL 33319 OPERATING NAME (DBA): NÜ Car Rental / Coupe / Rent-A-Wreck Phoenix LOCAL AGENT: Paul Rodgers, Branch Manager, 2327 E. Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ 85006 JURISDICTION: Subject to A.R.S. § 44-1522 (Arizona Consumer Fraud Act) *********************************************************** The "Marc Walker" Territory Based on corporate filings and BBB records, Marc Walker's company, Reservation Affiliates, LLC, appears to be the specific franchise owner for a cluster of locations. This is why you see his name attached to complaints in these specific "hubs": WERE YOU SCAMMED IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: 1. Phoenix, AZ, (attempted extortion - Manager Makayla} 2. San Antonio, TX, 3. Seattle, WA 4. Fort Lauderdale, FL (The Corporate Headquarters) Why this matters for your lawsuit: The "Target" is Precise: You aren't suing the entire "NÜ" global brand; you are suing the specific "cell" that defrauded you. This is why your Corporate Hierarchy document is so lethal--it proves that while NÜ is a big network, Marc Walker is the one who took your money in Phoenix. No "Pass the Buck": By naming Reservation Affiliates, LLC, you prevent the Phoenix branch manager from saying, "Talk to corporate," and you prevent NÜ Global from saying, "Talk to the local guy." You've linked the local fraud directly to the guy in Florida who cashed the check. Avis knew the difference: This is also why Avis was able to "disavow" them. Avis likely has a relationship with certain NÜ affiliates, but they looked at Marc Walker's operation and said, "We don't know this guy, and we don't want to." The "Expert" Conclusion You have correctly identified the "Small Business Scammer" model. Marc Walker is using a global brand name (NÜ) to look like a major player, but he's running it like a "shell game" out of Lauderhill, FL. ***********************************************************
