So excited to discover this hidden gem tucked inside Laguna Hills! Located on a beautiful golf course, Harvest offers beautiful views, as well as an extensive menu of elevated Californian cuisine and innovative cocktails. We stopped by spontaneously for a weekend brunch after seeing this spot on social media, and were pleasantly surprised that it 100% lived up to the hype! One of our favorites was the ceviche, which came with a tasty mix of cooked white fish, tomato, peppers, onion and cilantro paired with fresh tortilla chips, and is a refreshing option for a hot summer Californian day. I also surprisingly enjoyed the bone marrow, which was so deeply flavorful without being overwhelmingly rich, and paired beautifully with their freshly roasted bread. Also highly recommend trying their cocktails, especially the French, which comes with a creative spin of raspberry sorbet and brut to pour over. Definitely check out this hidden gem restaurant for innovative and elevated Californian cuisine if you're in Laguna!

I can't believe I never knew about the restaurant. It is right across from Aliso Creek beach up in an area called The Ranch. There's a beautiful golf course situated in the basin of a hilly area -- the views are gorgeous. Across from the pro shop, you'll find Harvest, a beautiful restaurant with indoor, outdoor and bar seating. First, you MUST try their giant cinnamon roll. We got ours with the candied bacon on the side and I'm craving it just thinking about it! Everything we ate was delicious. They even have fantastic coffee drinks too! Shout out to Frank for the fabulous service! I can't wait to come back soon.

Cannot tell you how awesome today's lunch was. The ambience was a 10+ setting in a canyon with the hills of Laguna Beach surrounding you . Our server, Jayne was most accommodating. It was such a fine dining experience. From the valet personnel to the bus boys to the chef, everything was amazing if you want an upscale dining experience this bus the place.

This is a really beautiful spot. The restaurant itself feels like a nice slightly upscale type of lodge. The menu is really thoughtful and well put together. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. They mention a lot of locally grown produce items on the menu. The Caesar salad was perfect. The wagyu cheesesteak was more bready than I would have liked, but still good. The homemade chips were fabulous. I would get this just to bring home. The apple and pecan pie were really really good. The burger was absolutely massive. Other than the salads, everyone we were with stated that their food was a bit unseasoned. I suggest putting salt and pepper on the tables, if the goal of the chef is to season foods so lightly. Why not 5 stars?? The service was just okay. Our server was really sweet. She tried hard. Little things were missing, like clearing plates. Offering cream with coffee. Refilling or asking for additional beverages. We had to flag her down a few times with empty glasses that had been there for awhile. The busboys were very helpful once we flagged them. I mention it, because that kind of service doesn't match the prices or the vibe I think they are going for. It is still a lovely place, and we will be back. Note: it's valet only.

(1/5) The view is beautiful, but unfortunately that's about the only positive thing I can say about our experience. Our food took much longer than tables that were seated after us. Even our appetizers hadn't arrived while other tables that came later were already being served. We had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. Our server was also difficult to find throughout the meal. I asked for a straw, but it never came, so I eventually had to ask a different server, who wasn't even assigned to our table, to bring me one. When our food still hadn't arrived, I again had to ask another server for help because we couldn't find ours. When our server finally came over, he insisted that the other table had been seated before us. After checking, he admitted that they had actually been seated after us--but never apologized. What disappointed me the most wasn't even the wait, but the complete lack of accountability after realizing the mistake. To make matters worse, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. This charge was not disclosed on the menu, and no one informed us about it beforehand. Being required to pay an 18% gratuity after receiving service like this felt completely unjustified. I'm considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because customers deserve transparency and shouldn't be surprised by mandatory charges. The food itself was also disappointing. The BBQ back ribs were noticeably overcooked and had a strong burnt, bitter flavor that overwhelmed the meat. Overall, the food was very average and did not come close to justifying the price. The scenery is the only reason this place gets any stars from me. Everything else--from the service to the food--was disappointing. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it.

The location of the establishment is beautiful and our server last night was absolutely lovely. However, I do not believe I would recommend the food to anyone. We started with the duck drumettes, which were definitely the best dish but nothing special. I chose mussels as my main, but the white sauce was way too thick and creamy and wayyy too salty (this is coming from someone who sprinkles and licks plain salt for fun). I did like the bacon as an additional touch, but again I feel like a sauce for this kind of dish has to be much lighter. My mom ordered the swordfish, but it looked very dry and the mashed potatoes at the base were quite bland. My dad liked his burger, but felt his fries were too burnt. I did really enjoy my martini and felt it was the only well-priced item on the menu. I think I would definitely recommend Harvest to grab drinks with a beautiful view, but dinner would definitely best be served elsewhere.

I was so happy with my experience here! Harvest is located on a ranch. There is a hotel where you can stay and a golf course as well. Parking for the golf course and the restaurant is valet only but it is free. I didn't make a reservation to go in but they had lots of tables on a weekday. They have both plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor vibes are very warm and cozy and the outdoor vibes are nice with the views of the ranch. In the indoor seating, they also have couches and booths. Additionally, they have seating where they have large windows and it also overlooks the ranch! The service here was great. Upon seating they got us started with waters and offered to move heaters next to us since it was a cloudy day. We also got blankets to stay warm. Their food was also really good! We wanted to try the breakfast menu but got there at around 12 (which is when they start serving their lunch menu), but even so, the lunch menu had so many options we wanted to try. The appetizers and starters all sound good, and the servers are really warm and nice introducing the menu. We ordered the french onion soup, wild mushroom pasta, and the baked lobster mac and cheese. They were all delicious! The french onion soup is flavored perfectly and I loved the cheese on top. The wild mushroom pasta was also delicious. The pasta was cooked nicely and the mushroom flavor was strong. The mushroom itself is really soft and not hard at all. The lobster mac and cheese had the perfect ratio of lobster to cheese. I really enjoyed my experience at the restaurant. After finishing food at Harvest, you can walk a little next to the golf course, or take pictures in front of the mountains of the ranch. If you go during the Christmas season, they also have a huge christmas tree outside the restaurant.

TLDR; beautiful restaurant, very attentive staff, and mixed flavor food. The drinks were delicious and perfectly made. The appetizers were good and flavorful especially the bread, cheese board, shrimp cocktail, and croquettes. The onion soup was flavorful and good as well. The salmon wasn't bad but something within the flavor of the sauce it was drenched in made it off putting. The reduction in the braised short rib ruined the meal and the potato pie was more of a leftover hash brown. The scallops were alright but could have been cooked a touch longer which left them a little slimey. The milk and cookies saved the dessert because they were delicious! Get these and do not miss out.

One of the best experiences we've had. The food was amazing, and our waiter whose name I unfortunately forgot was excellent. The ambiance and vibe were relaxed and cozy, making the whole atmosphere really enjoyable. Every dish was great, and overall it was a complete experience. It truly couldn't have been better.

Located inside The Ranch at Laguna Beach, the restaurant oversees the golf course from outside patio. The staff is friendly and kind in preparing celebration for special occasions. The majority of the ingredient comes fresh from its own garden, which you can schedule the tour directly with concierge. Highly recommend the tour to dive deep into its sustainability effort and to get some action at the "chicken theatre". The menu changes seasonally to always have the best ingredients, so you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

In a canyon in Laguna Beach: Simply wonderful atmosphere to have a long, leisurely luncheon with longtime friends. Luckily, We came at a non-busy time. It was so extremely relaxing to enjoy food, wine and conversation at a beautiful restaurant in a canyon of Laguna Beach where we could actually hear each other. The patio setting ideal. Our waiter, Edgar, made us feel so welcome and didn't rush us in any way. That being said, I didn't think the food was overly spectacular. It was very good, truly. I would definitely go there again. Perhaps order that special hamburger that my friend had. She said it was delicious. I had the chicken club sandwich - a great combination of fresh ingredients, just a bit dry. If I ordered again, I'm sure I won't insult the cook by asking for a little extra mayo. Chocolate chip cookies for dessert were perfect. We loved having the actual wine bottle brought to our table so we could see it poured directly from the bottle. Class. And a terrific wine list! See Guy S. review who thoughtfully posted the Wine & Spirit list. : ) Overall it was decent food with superb service in a beautiful setting. Valet parking & a little navigation needed to drive up to find the actual restaurant.

This place blew me away. First you are greeted with free valet parking. Next you see the stunning views of the luscious green mountains overhead. The staff are wonderful, very professional and greeting you by your last name. The texture of the menu is the best I have ever felt. The food is fantastic too, large portions and high quality. Be sure to walk around and enjoy the views after eating.

Celebrating at harvest is absolutely the best experience you could have whether it be a birthday or a wedding or an anniversary or just life in general.. It's always better at harvest. We had the most amazing waiter , Sal he gave much personal attention. It was fantastic. A handwritten birthday card was given. The dessert was amazing handwritten chocolate on the plate. The food is so good. It's far a table. They have very seasonal delicious fresh food. The pumpkin gnocchi was so delicious the crispy octopus one of my favorites, the French onion soup, and the butternut squash soup. You must try before they go away. The roasted chicken is one of my favorites and for dessert if you can have the apple pie if you have room left, you must try it it is absolutely out of this world just like grandma would make!

This restaurant is in a stunning location right by the beach, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion. We celebrated my best friend's birthday here on a Saturday evening with a group of 14. Since our party was so large, we were split between two adjacent tables, which worked out perfectly. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful bar to the right, with the main dining room opening up straight ahead. Beyond the dining area are doors leading to a grassy outdoor space overlooking the public walking path, with the ocean just beyond it. There were several smaller tables outside, but our group was seated indoors, which I assume was due to our size. The views alone are worth the visit, but the restaurant itself is just as impressive. The decor reminded me of elegant coastal restaurants you'd find along the Mediterranean or European seaside -- bright, sophisticated, and effortlessly beautiful. I happened to be seated at the non-drinking end of the table, so I can't comment on the cocktails or wine, but the food certainly didn't disappoint. Charred Octopus (7/10) -- The octopus was nicely charred and tender, with a pleasant smoky flavor. That said, I found it a little under-seasoned and wished it had a bit more depth of flavor. Trio Appetizer -- A great starter for the table. It's perfect if you want to sample a variety of appetizers, and everyone enjoyed sharing it. Branzino -- We ordered the regular branzino instead of the coffee salt-crusted version since our table had already ordered plenty of food. It was beautifully prepared, perfectly seasoned, and expertly deboned, making it incredibly easy to enjoy. The crispy skin was one of my favorite parts. Our friends at the neighboring table ordered the salt-crusted branzino, and while the tableside presentation was impressive, we noticed the skin was removed during service...which, in my opinion, is the best part of the fish! Steak -- One of my favorite dishes of the evening. It was cooked beautifully, seasoned well, sliced for easy sharing, and was a crowd-pleaser all around. Flank Steak (6/10) -- This was probably the only dish I wouldn't order again. The portion was much smaller than we expected, and while it wasn't bad, it just didn't stand out compared to the other dishes we tried. Sides -- We ordered the rice, charred broccolini, and potatoes, and honestly, all three were excellent. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the charred broccolini. It paired wonderfully with both the branzino and the steaks and added a nice balance to the meal. One unexpected standout was the pita. This wasn't your typical thin pita...it was thicker, fluffier, and incredibly soft. It paired well with nearly everything on the table, and we ended up ordering multiple baskets because everyone kept reaching for more. Between the spectacular oceanfront setting, elegant atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food, this was a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. While there were a couple of dishes I enjoyed more than others, the overall experience was memorable, and I'd happily return for another celebration.

The ocean views are absolutely breathtaking. Enjoying the spectacular salt-crusted whole branzino gave me flashbacks to Santorini. It paired flawlessly with the crisp, mineral-driven Estate Argyros 'Atlantis' Assyrtiko blend. Every dish we sampled--from the charred octopus and perfectly seasoned broccolini to the heavenly fresh pita bread and delicious scallop crudo--was a showcase of true culinary art. What elevates this venue to world-class status is the immaculate service. Our server, V, was phenomenal, engaging us in fascinating conversation regarding WSET and CMS theory. Our server assistant, Jackson, was incredibly attentive; his presence and seamless execution are major assets to the Montage guest experience. We initially planned to move to the main lounge to study our wine materials, but the captivating vibe at the Studio kept us there all evening. We transitioned to the community table for more drinks, where bartenders George and Chase crafted several of our customized signature cocktails executed to absolute perfection. An exceptional establishment requires elite hospitality leadership. Deepest thanks to our host, Sean; our attentive servers, V, Sean, and Fabiana; our masterful bartenders, Chase and George; and the incredible management team led by Melia and General Manager Cecil Kepner. Melia, thank you so much for granting us a table with such an iconic view! We are looking forward to returning in a few weeks to celebrate an upcoming birthday. Outdoor seating to enjoy that beautiful night breeze and oceanfront sunset with culinary wine pairing would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to a dining experience co-curated by Gary Sullivan and the Studio beverage team.

The owner served us initially, and he was really friendly and funny. We ordered a bottle of wine, and some cocktails. We put in some salads and an appetizer, they were really really good. But after that, our server (the owner we were told) left, and another server introduced himself. The new server was inattentive. He sat chatting with the other servers at the bar, leaving empty glasses and empty plates on the table. We had to flag him to come back to fill water. Having been myself in the service industry for years, my biggest pet peeve is when servers sit and chat where you can see them, and when they do come, they don't do a sweep and take care of things on the table. We had to put our empty glasses and trash on a side table. It was weird. The bolognese had hardly any meat in it. It was mostly tomato and onion. I've been to Argentina. Meat is a staple. Also weird. We ordered dessert and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, the server came back and told us they were missing crucial ingredients to make it. The owner came back at the end and was really gracious, but all in all, I think the execution was lacking. The service was not great. The food was 3.5/5 I love to support small business, perhaps we will try again another night.

First beer release from 237 Ocean. I'm a beer guy so love that they're making their own beer now…read moresince I remember coming here when it was a brewery. It's definitely been upgraded with higher end furnishings and a farm-to-table menu. The servers and staff are always friendly and welcoming and do their best at getting to you when it's busy. We love the various types of seating with some family-style seating as well as outdoor couches and chairs to watch the people go by.
