Where to start?Not able to build a green Mary. Asked for green versus tomato was told no we can't make that at our Bloody Mary bar. The Biria beef was sour. Yes taken off the bill. However, kitchen not properly functioning to prevent illness is very concerning. Iced tea tasted like the container has not been cleaned in a long bit. I always get the cannoli donuts but today they just didn't taste right. They weren't soft, they were small and had an excessive amount of frosting/filling. The frosting/filling didn't even taste as good either. Now the Japanese pancakes just didn't seem like how it was described...total bummer! Not a place for everyone. We gave this place a shot and didn't know what we were getting into as when you enter they have a live Dj mixing with music so loud that it's impossible to have a conversation. Along with that the menu is very limited to pretty much Hash (as stated in their name) but not much more options for those who don't care for hash or breakfast items. With that being said I'm not one who cares for hash or breakfast so I went with the Nashville hot chicken "breakfast" sandwich and it was a total flop. Chicken was good but the Sweet bun didn't complement it well. Also, the pickle was just cut in half so it slide right off at one bite. Fries were also over cooked and would snap in my hand. Complete meal was lacking spice and flavor. My wife got a hash dish and enjoyed it and order and single pancake for my toddler. Bills was almost $60 and was very unsatisfying for the price. Along with the noise and lacking menu, unseasoned food and overly price menu items. The services was slow. And when I say slow I'm talking being there for 2 hours with no refills and waiting for our food for at least 1 1/2 hrs. 2 stars for having a very clean establishment. After I posted my previous review I received feedback from the manager Joey... My friend and I went today and I gotta say--- it was hella better than before! Yes, the store was busy... forgot it was a holiday... the dj was pumping music...so it was loud but not ear-deafening loud. and the service was awesome! Props to Taylor G!! She was a busy gal and while she wasn't all over us, she did check in on us and we enjoyed our food & drinks! We didn't order the Bloody Mary, but my friend did order a yummy white peach mimosa and I had the Naked and Famous.. YUM!! our breakfasts were the Art Mollen Hash(??) and I had the Birria Hash.. Alright, just want to say before this one that I may just be a small town guy with small town taste. And, I judge almost any diner that is claiming good breakfast by their hash--and this place is named for it! Okay, here we go! Driving up to the place I wasn't getting that feel that I thought I would from a place famous for its breakfast hash. I think I was expecting more of a diner type feel but it was more of a club type feel. And again, this is likely just my own expectations for a breakfast joint in a small town, as opposed to a more trendy breakfast spot in the city. This club theme kind of continues inside, with some pretty cool painted artwork on the walls, mostly black & white stencils type stuff. But then... there was a disco ball... hanging over the DJ -- yep, a DJ. It was just a little strange to me I guess, everyone else seemed to dig it. And the music was crazy loud, like a night club or something. And a rather large bar, kind of like a sports bar, tied the whole strange vibe together. The service was pretty on point. The hostess greeted us with a smile and energetic mood, which was nice. We were seated promptly, despite being pretty busy. And our waitress was very good The food, well, it wasn't bad. It was just like this place cares more about the strange, trendy vibe they work so hard at, and the food just kind of was. I had the Carnitas Hash, which was tasty. A little sweet for my taste, as it was a "coke-a-cola" marinated carnitas, which I've never had. Not bad, just interesting. My biggest complaint would be the potatoes--which are the base of any good hash--which were just a potatoes O'Brien sort of thing. In my opinion, if you are gonna do some hash, your potatoes should be kind of a rough chop or shred, and then cooked to perfection with a little bit of that flattop crusty, charred edge happening. Potatoes O'Brien just doesn't cut it. Beyond this, everything was well seasoned and tasty for what it was. We (the wife and I) also had the fruit platter on the side and the fruit was super fresh and delicious, with a drizzle of agave, very good. Again, overall pretty cool place, but I likely wouldn't be heading back. The most noise I want when I go to a popular breakfast spot is the chatter of the awesome folks enjoying themselves, not the loud nightclub music coming from the DJ. Maybe I'm just getting old Couldn't give this place 3 stars due to the awesome service a decent flavor of the food, just couldn't go 5 stars either. I'm probably at about a 3.5 if Yelp would allow that. If you like trendy then this is the spot for you. You can have a cocktail and some breakfast, and rock out while you're at it. read more

i've been to this location a quite a few times as well as the one in park west once, and had a wide variety of experiences. the food is good, i enjoy the scrambles and my nieces love the french toast sticks, i also love whatever coffee they use. however, when i've come here on a week day there is only one or two staff members that appear to be doing everything so service is iffy. no blame to the staff, they are doing their best as they are doing the jobs of multiple people, bussing, bartending, seating, etc. i'm in the industry too so i understand. on weekends it's SO loud, and i know it's "party brunch" but after reading the other reviews, it seems to be hash kitchen's #1 piece of feedback that they simply aren't willing to compromise on. with that, the "vibe" is all over the place. it feels gimmicky and over the top, when there is beauty in refining and if hash kitchen nailed down their "vibe" to a few core aspects (yes, they can keep their beloved dj) it would be much more pleasant. jack of all trades is a master of none. finally, the majority of my experiences at hash kitchen have ended with being asked (begged sometimes) by the server to leave a yelp review for them (funny, here i am leaving a yelp review). i understand they are under pressure from management, corporate, or whoever but it kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth. i love to tip well for amazing service because i know how much it's valued, and that's why servers are in this game to begin with. in my corporate experience getting reviews is just a way to pump up the bosses instead of appreciate the staff who personally waited on me for an hour+. all in all, i like hash kitchen. the food is good, the options are decent, the staff are friendly and definitely hard workers. id like to shout out lola and ian, they have been excellent every time, and ive had both of them at least twice. the atmosphere is okay, i recommend going before 10am. the restaurant is very pretty and has a nice patio. i hope their big dogs get it together because this place has potential that's getting lost in the sauce. read more

This is place was like walking into a club on Sunday morning! Literally a DJ station right as you walk in, the music was so loud we could barely talk, but the music was good so we managed. One of our group had to remove their hearing aids because the noise from the music and the crowd was just too much, I would not recommend this place to anyone hearing impaired. Also we had 2 kids with us and didn't get a kids menu, menu is very busy and not much traditional food to select so you have to customize if you want just plain breakfast without the flair. Good food though, impressive Bloody Mary bar and great mimosas. Billion $ bacon is just one slice! $8 for one slice of bacon... it wasn't that good lol The non alcoholic sparkling drink gave my son a stomach ache and also another member of our party, so I don't recommend that either. If your looking for a party at breakfast, this is the spot. If you want something quieter with a more traditional menu, this isn't the place. read more

This is my third visit to this restaurant. With each visit, it has only gotten better. The weather was nice outside, so I decided to sit on the patio. Outside of a few flies, it was actually nice. I arrived during the week, and the music did not seem to be as loud as it had been in the past. My server Ian was very friendly and engaged. We ordered some brunch for pick up via their website which turns out was a mistake since their system supposedly is delayed in showing online orders??? So it wasn't ready till 30 minutes AFTER it said it was good for pickup. Which is expected to be busy but they didn't prep the food till we arrived for pickup. My food was the hangover hash which was not braised beef AT ALL. It looked like the beef scraps they pulled from the charred side of a pan. I can't recommend going to ANY other breakfast place more. For as popular as this place is the food isn't worth it all, the quality has dropped down since the last time I was here. Not worth it. read more

I was excited to find another brunch spot that had gluten-free options. We arrived shortly after opening and were seated by a friendly hostess. The restaurant has a vibrant vibe. I had an iced cappuccino with a shot of Irish cream and the carnitas hash. The flavor was great however, it was heavy on the salt. My husband customized an egg white omelette with ham, cheddar cheese and black beans. He mentioned that his dish was over salted as well.
