Hash Kitchen has a few locations across Arizona and on my list to try because I heard about their decked out build your own Bloody Marys with unlimited toppings, cannoli donuts and IG-worthy brunches. It's open bright and early even during the Thanksgiving weekend, so we could fit it in our schedule. We're lucky to drop in at 9am on Saturday and have our option of seating for 2. Outside would be more ideal if you prefer it more quiet. I like the higher energy indoors with the DJ running dance tracks and old pop hits, like No Scrubs. Totally my jam but it might not be for everyone. Masks are not mandated here, however we were adequately spaced apart. Ordered: The Bloody Marys here are wild, build you own for $14, which is just $4 more than the original and you can stack your bloody Mary with unlimited amount of toppings. It could be a meal itself. My favourite toppings are the cheesy jalapeno poppers and Italian meatball, which are covered by the warmer lids so it's easy to miss. Pretty fun! I'm not a huge fan of Bloody Marys normally, but I do love the novelty. If you're not into Bloody Mary's, a flight of glittery fruity and colourful mimosas would be a great picture-worthy substitute. I was eyeing it from the next table. I also ordered the signature items, "THE BEST F#*%ING BIRRIA HASH" (literal name) and the "LOCO-MOCO". When in America, you gotta get used to these massive portions... (I'm Canadian). The food was delicious though very heavy. Enough for us to save as part of dinner later that night. I would love to try the cannoli donut too but have absolutely no room left. Great for tourists or special occasions as the table next to us were also visiting. read more

First impression: this place is SO LOUD. In my honest opinion, this place is a little too loud to actually enjoy the food. The food is way too basic to actually make up for the noise. The one cool thing that stands out here is the bloody mary bar which is actually really neat. Other than that.... This may become our go-to for New Year's breakfast. The overall atmosphere was fun. Service was good. And the food was fantastic. We started with the cannoli donuts because they just looked too interesting to pass up. They were delicious. A warm fresh donut - crispy but not heavy - with chocolate chip cannoli cream and a donut hole on top. The cream was exactly what you get in the best cannoli - I'm talking Boston's North End cannoli. (You can take the girl out of Boston...) For our main meals, my husband had the chilequiles Hash. He.loves hash and has been addicted to chilequiles since I first told him about it. (No chilequiles back in Boston). He loved this hash. They had a variety of different hash (hashes?), but I suspect this will be his go-to. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict. I was so happy that it wasn't overly salty. Last time I had eggs benedict, it was horribly salty (at a different restaurant). This was just delicious. There was still the saltiness you expect, but the hollandaise was also creamy and made for the perfect bite with egg, tomato and spinach. Overall a great meal and a very cool vibe to the place. We went to Hash Kitchen on a Tuesday morning. There were very few people there. Which was a good thing. We had the Birria Hash and the Hangover Hash. Both were good! We also had the Cannoli doughnuts. Which were actually more the consistency of a biscuit, they were just okay. Not very sweet. Service was great and everyone working there were very friendly! Check your food before biting in. I got the English muffin sandwich and both sides of the bread had green mold. Idk how the cooks could have missed it...it was very apparent. When we told our server, she took it back and told the manager and I ordered something else. Manager didn't even come over but she was lurking around our table awkwardly. Overall just an odd visit. They comped my food but not friends' food, even though we all lost our appetite after seeing the mold. Beyond that, the food was honestly mid. When you have loud ass music, DIY Bloody Mary bars, and giant sparkly drinks, the food takes a back seat. Lona was freaking phenomenal!!! She truly gave us the best service. She ensured to take our order and drinks all in one. We got our drinks so fast so it was so nice. We got the Malibu Barbie x2, mimosa bomb and XXL Bloody Mary! The food was absolutely delicious and the service she provided us was beyond phenomenal. I asked to sit outside so it was nice that they placed us under the mister and in the shade! It was freaking great. Loved the ambiance in this place! I came here on a Sunday morning with my two best friends for brunch while visiting Scottsdale. The environment in this restaurant is amazing, they have a DJ, and a make your own bloody mary bar. Portions are huge and amazing for the price you pay. Imagine all of the trendy restaurants you've seen on Instagram and Tiktok, throw them at a wall, and you've got Hash Kitchen! There is NO shortage of influencer-level coolness here, plenty of photo opportunities, and delicious + fun menu offerings. Note: the music is LOUD! When we were in they had a live DJ, and it was hard to decipher whether we were at a club or a brunch spot. I didn't have a problem with it, but definitely worth noting if that doesn't sound like your jam. For food, I went with the Hangover Short Rib Hash (sans having a hangover) and it was delicious! The short rib is mouthwatering. Flavor is great, it's tender, and basically melts in your mouth. I went with the mimosa flight for my beverage(s) and added the cotton candy glitter bombs... Because why not? They came and sparkly and ready for their moment! Other things worth noting... They have a Bloody Mary Bar for $13, with over 50 toppings. FIFTY. They also have a Mega Glitter Bomb Mimosa, which is a 25 ounce champagne flute filled with mimosa goodness. They also have cereal shooter flights, CBD cocktails, seltzer cocktails, and more. It's wild and fun. Hash Kitchen was definitely the hot spot for bachelorette parties (which is why I was in Scottsdale) so note that the wait is usually long, especially on a weekend. We waited for about 45 minutes with Yelp Waitlist which felt like an eternity since it was about 110. Definitely recommend checking out at least once! read more

The north Scottsdale location is basically a cavernous room, full of activity and a bit noisy. The bar is prominent, foretelling this isn't your usual egg joint. They have an extensive menu with all sorts of waffle, pancake and, of course, hash combinations - generally very creative. You will not leave hungry from Hash Kitchen. When you look at my pancake pics, please note these are half portions - and they are still quite filling. The pancakes, alone, are fairly light and airy for their size. They have the typical pancake mild flavor. They acted as a good carrier for their respective topping. Each dish came with a small cup of maple syrup (which wasn't the typical overly sugary sweet stuff). I liked this to supplement the toppings. The Lemon Custard pancakes, as you can see in the pic, had a fair amount of lemon custard. It was a bit tangy and the right amount of sweetness. The blue berry compote on top was fruitful and but not too pronounced. The whipped vanilla mascarpone, between the pancakes didn't add any flavor but help to moisten the pancakes. The Banana Fosters pancake comprised of the stated caramelized bananas, candied pecans and cinnamon whipped cream. While these items were piled on the top, see pic, it really didn't meld all together. This dish was more of individual items put together rather than a good melding of individual items. The Corned Beef Hash had the basic components. The cubed potatoes were basic and under seasoned. The corned beef components were pureed together and lacked the usual tanginess. This probably happened to be my fave meal while I was in Scottsdale. The open area inside was nice, so it didn't feel crowded at all. It was clean, service was great, and the food was excellent. I don't really love bloody Mary's, but my friends said the Bloody Mary bar was awesome! As far as the food went everything was pretty good! I had the pancake and the the fried chicken eggs Benny. Found this place accidentally because it was closed to my hotel. What a fortuitous find. Banana split French toast was decadent and the presentation was excellent. I've tried a few things on the menu and everything I had was flavorful and something I could order again. Anything with short rib is amazing and their French toast is addicting. Which is good because the portions are HUGE. In general AZ is slow to the modern brunch game but this place is like the places I go when I visit California and Vegas! The one in Scottsdale has a great DJ and it's always loud and packed so beware of bringing kids. I've never expected a brunch place to be so lit. They had a live DJ, a Bloody Mary bar, and great décor. The ambiance was on another level. This place gets reasonably busy and they do offer some fruit infused water while you wait outside. You can still order drinks while you wait as well. We ordered the mimosa flight and DIY Bloody Mary's. Everyone was super excited for the Bloody Mary's and it's one of the best I've tasted so far. The mimosa flights are great to share and to taste a variety. Personally, I liked the strawberry and blueberry mimosas. I saw a few other mimosas that were decorative with items like cotton candy, a pinwheels, and edible glitter. We ordered a few dishes for the table and our waiter, Fabian, was super helpful and let us split the check amongst 11 people. I personally ordered the Hangover Hash. The sauce is delectable and the meat is tender. My cousin ordered the Shrimp Hash and it was decent. For both, the amount of hash was overwhelming and a bit dry especially for the Shrimp Hash. The Salmon Benedict was subpar since the salmon didn't really taste fresh. The hot dogs were really delicious and I would recommend it if you're looking for more of a lunch vs. brunch type dish. I HIGHLY recommend the donuts! I don't care for donuts at all but these were extremely fluffy and had a hint of funnel cake flavoring that topped it off. I was tempted to get the Wake Me Up Affogato but our server said it was more suited for dessert. I already anticipated I'd have difficulty finishing the food and I'm glad I didn't order it but it's something I'd try next time. Restrooms- Located behind the bar. They have separate women and men bathroom as well as one gender neutral bathroom. Covid protocols- They recommend the party to wear masks until seated but a lot of individuals weren't wearing any while walking around. Staff were all masked though. read more
